I used my crypto winnings to buy a snack and drink vending machine. How much money can these things make
>>
I smash these machines when they take my money
>>
>>61194831
ever since i found out a lot of these are owned by passive income fags and not the establishments, i always stuff wrappers and such in the cash slot.
>>
On average it will take about 3 months to make your money back, and you usually have to give 10% to the property owner for the rights to have that machine on their land. It's a good gig if you have the right setup and don't live in a bad neighborhood
>>
>>61194848
Does the 10% cover the electric bill or is it separate?
>>
>>61194848
I talked to an owner and he was saying his machine at my work makes just over 400 a month on average and its just a basic snack machine. I live near York college so I was thinking of seeing where I could set some of these things up.
>>
>>61194856
Majority of the time, yes.
>>
Depends on where they are and what you put in them. Most of the best spots will be taken already, and you have to do all of the maintenance yourself if something breaks.
>>
>>61194843
>How dare someone make a drink or snack available to me for an agreed upon price?
>>
I’d rather set up a lemonade stand
>>
>>61194976
fuck off they have little bags of chips for like 3 bucks in those shits
complete ripoff
>>
>>61194831
Not very passive when you have to restock it. This business is for poor wagies who think they can be an entrepreneur by buying a fucking vending machine.

You may think it’s absurd, but you’re an idiot if you don’t realize most of this country is full of high time preference “people” who have no concept of money and swipe plastic multiple times a day without even thinking about their bank balances. Only to complain how unfair the system and how taxing the rich will fix all their problems.
They will pay the big markup for the snack and drinks because dealing with hunger for a few hours at most is not something their dopamine saturated minds can comprehend.

restocking it would be annoying for sure, and it would have to be on weekends. if I did do this I'd pick spots near me and probably just start off with a drink vending machine. Shit doesn't expire and so many hogs love their sodie pops
>>
If you can get a good location (ie somewhere that isn't a black or spic neighborhood), they're a nice side hustle.

Problem is finding that location because why wouldn't the property owner just do it himself instead of only getting a 10% pittance? It's not like restocking a machine with snacks or soda is a tough job.
>>
>>61194831
>>61194848
>>61194856
Keep in mind you are paying both for the inventory to stock these and the labor to restock them. Unless you are hiring some guy to do it for you you'll be driving there once or twice a week to restock. You need to add the gas, labor (if applicable) and time cost in as well.
>>
>>61194843
you're an asshole but that is funny, i can picture the owners of these sloptanks raging
>>
Is it bad form to introduce these to your own workplace? Our building is separate from the main one and we don't have snacks. Part of me would feel like an evil new taking advantage but its also just extra convenience
>>
>>61195880

don't shit where you eat, you're co-workers are gonna think ur weird for trying to fleece them lol
>>
>>61195880
I wouldn't, people might start goofin' on you for selling 99c arizonas for a $1.75. Or ask for specific things and whine to you about it constantly.
>>
>>61194843
>and not the establishments
>>
>>61194831
Unironically goated decision
>>
>>61194831
I make more through prophex and would still go to walmart pajeet
>>
>>61196032
I could see that as a benefit, let them pick what snacks they'd like to see so they can't be mad when I suppy it
>>
>>61196164
I'd just be worried about niche stuff. Something only they would like and wouldn't be a hot item, because then one slot in your machine taken up by that. But I mean if they are buying it frequently I could see it working well.
>>
>>61194831
They can make you money but you must make it really unattractive to niggers, otherwise they will try to break into it. Sell condoms or something...
>>
>>61194843
nigger behavior. You're a nigger
>>
>>61194831
Insanely over saturated and competitive business. But if somehow you can lock down good locations they are a passive money making power house
>>
I own three drink machines and make about 1100$ on average a month profit. Two machines I pay no fees and one machine is 8% spot rights fee. In the contract I just put 8% as a goof to see if they’d take it and yeah they didn’t even argue about it. Other two machines there is no formal contract. I just asked if they wanted a “free” machine installed. All of them use nayax card readers which is how most people pay since no one really carries cash anymore
>>
>>61194843
Mine are card only
>>
>>61194831
Also, these are much better, as they give you a legit excuse to go to ladies bathrooms.
If you can pick up the tampon disposal business too, there's good money. All you have to do is stop by, check the machines, pick up the used tampons and pads, then its back to the shed for sorting.

I’ve owned and operated them for 2 years now and have never had vandalism. My machines are in Gaithersburg MD, on the whiter side. Even in low traffic areas you are probably going to get close to 250$ a month per machine. All three of my machines were bought off marketplace and two thankfully had nayax readers already installed, those two paid for themselves in 1.5 months of service.
>>
vending machines are a IQ test
>>
>>61194831
I have a large vending route that I inherited from my grandfather. It turns out the broken machines are more profitable, so I don't fix them or stock then anymore. They just need to be caged so niggers can't vandalize them
>>
the office building i work in got two of these. they were 1 dollar or coins only. assholes were too cheap to add a card reader. and they wouldn't count dimes half the time and eat your change. i put spray foam into the coins slots. they're no longer there lmao. fuck those cheap assholes, literal rent seeking behavior
>>
>>61195005
this fatty has no impulse control
>>
>>61194831
pokemon vending machine > snack vending machine
>>
>>61197257
Maybe but it sounds like more work keeping track of pack value/prices and ordering shit. I just wanna AFK

At least you didn't buy a car wash. In general, I wouldn't invest in anything that would require you to interact with or worry about low IQ retards like >>61194843.
>>61195005
They have to pay "rent" to sit in a prime location. If you think 3 bucks is too much then why didn't you bring a snack yourself from home, you lazy ASS?
>>
>>61194831
wouldnt you have figured that out before buying it

>>61196032
americans are a very petry and jealous race
>>
>>61197478
The deal on the machine seemed too good, 500$ for a machine that is normally 1700. Even if it ends up not working out I didn't really get fucked too hard.
>>
>>61196906
i can think of a lot of things that can fit in your card slot
