Aren't the casinos pretty paranoid and quick to ban blackjack players nowadays?
Would it even be possible to count cards long term locally in a state with >20 casinos?

>go to casino
>win
>banned for life
Casinos have no purpose. They're obsolete monuments to the boomers' greed and ignorance.

Isn't this why most counters join teams and go to Vegas with disguises?
I just want to go to my local casino, win $200 and leave consistently

Why not just play poker instead?
You're not playing against the house in poker so they won't give a shit if you win or lose.

>he thinks all other players at the poker table are not people hired by the casino itself

Counting cards isn't illegal... its illegal to use devices. Using your brain mathematically to play the best strategy is not illegal

Idk poker is very random and you have to go all in with your bank roll at times and you can get BTFO by some retard that doesnt know how to play who's just randomly bluffing
>>
with 6 decks that they'll regularly throw into the CSM it's basically impossible

Former semipro card counter here. No.

Two reasons: automatic card shufflers and rules changes.

The automatic shufflers now reshuffle all the cards from all the decks after every hand -- the dealer just drops the just-played cards back into the hopper and they get mixed back together. Counting works by tracking the already-played cards and allowing you to raise your bet when lots of small cards have been removed until the next shuffle. Well, there is no "until the next shuffle" any more, you get dealt from a complete deck every time. So, counting just plain doesn't work.

As for rules changes, lots of tables now pay out only 6:5 on blackjack instead of 3:2. That means you get a 20% bonus for having a blackjack instead of a 50% bonus. That 50% bonus was where ALL OF YOUR PROFIT came from. If it doesn't exist, you can't beat the house edge any more, period.

If you ever find a single-deck or double-deck game with 3:2 payout and no automatic shuffling, you can beat that. You won't find those games anywhere any more.

Sorry, "continuous shufflers" not "automatic shufflers". This guy >>61197588 got it right.
