i knew that a bullmarket of bitcoin and quantum and AI stocks at the same time was impossibleit'l like a bullrun of superman and kryptonite at the same time. Quantum will break ECDSA encryption and end bitcoin forever. it's just a question of time. this is a fundamental black swan that changed everything, that's why old holders have been selling the rips all year long, they know that it's time to get out before more people see the quantum fatal threat. add to this the AI driven bullmarket, it's just logical that AI and bitcoin are competitors for electricity. electricity is like oxygen for AI, and AI is a matter of national security. there is no way the AI billionaires are gonna let bitcoin miners waste all that precious electricity and infrastructure doing nothing but factoring prime numbers. it's fucking over this time for real.
>>61217224you talk like a person that learned to talk from chatgptalso by the time quantum computers are strong and cheap enough to break bitcoin, bitcoin will be secured by quantum computers

>>61217224Exactly. Everyone's acting like it doesn't matter, saying that if Bitcoin were hacked, the whole banking system would be ruined. But that's precisely the point... That's not a valid argument; quantum computing will indeed destroy both if a countermeasure isn't found. I think Bitcoin will lag behind the financial system; it's not responsive and will get screwed if it doesn't quickly become resistant to quantum attacks. In any case, I won't buy any Bitcoin until that happens.

Quantum computing might be impossible, if you look into the mathematics of open systems you find that you get a stochastic differential equation similar to the ones used to model the stock market. Basically anyone that succeeds in building a functionally useful quantum computer will also be able to predict the stock market. Reason why it's impossible is that when you deal with interactions of many particles, predicting their state in the future becomes more and more difficult (see the butterfly effect from chaos theory). So the state of a quantum computer is like a fluid that's ever changing, and once you act on a qubit the state of the computer 1000ns in the future will be almost random.
>>61219989I think the big brains at IBM and Google know this too, yet they keep working on it. Remember that a few centuries ago, people thought it was impossible to make a steel boat float.
