Thanks, that would be the price of just the silver. The dress might use on the order of 10kg of metal, the melt price would be around $15k USD. Fabricated into wire, and then the dress I would estimate Upwards of $60k, possibly in the $100k range.

Given the notoriety and attention the dress has brought, it was worth every penny. Sydney put on 30lbs for her latest movie role and the weight went to all the right places.

The beauty of the European female form is sublime. Both men and women enjoy looking at peak specimens. Sydney's look reminds one of the healthy female bodies of the 1940s, the classic blonde bombshell.

The fact that the dress is silver, and appears to be something of a fashion trend makes it not only relevant to this thread, but of potential niche interest to stackers.

Picrel is another silver dress, although not filled out quite as nicely as Sydney's dress. She does have a stunningly beautiful solid silver looking purse.

>So in demand
I don't think they are though? The ONE explanation I could see for it if it was a high-demand situation (and not the mint being run by niggers who don't work) is that boomers / investment firms don't care about premiums and are buying monster boxes of them using retirement money, but realistically that's PROBABLY not what's happening.
But it's the big name US silver, so if retirement accounts ever got cashed out it would be some of the first to go, but then junk would also go.

>30 pounds of silver
Vastly overestimated, it's a couple pounds.
Square cube law, it's not like chainmail where it is really heavy with chain links, those links are tiny.
Cutting the size by half decreases the weight by 8, it's an extremely thin mesh of them stuck together.

Screenshot related, different company but they make "chain mail" dresses and they weight 5 pounds, or around there. It's extremely think links / wire, it's not thick large rings of metal. If you increase the width of something by 2x you increase the weight by 8x, this works in reverse. It's many times lighter than chainmail armor.

>Vastly overestimated, it's a couple pounds.
I would estimate there's a several square meters of material in that dress. Silver has 10.49g/cm3, 304 stainless is 8g/cm3. I would estimate the dress weighs between 10-20 lbs.

Time will tell, technical specs will eventually be published on the dress.

We were already at $54.50, so less than $46 would do it, and if there is a market crash, money would flood into the safe haven of gold and silver.

I would say there is a high probability you will be proven correct. We could be above $60 by year end.

I have tried this. It was a mistake. Whatever parable people operate under is seemingly wrong at best and outright retarded at best. Telling a 'normal person' by this modern society's standard about silver is folly. They think you're clock is broken. Now when you tell a kid something about silver, it's even worse. Because kids operate on a hyperactive stream of dog shit that their parents spew out. Shit floats downstream as they say. And these modern youth are left with the most asinine sense of what money is, and they're wholly contemptible regarding saving. When you reach a certain knowledge base, it becomes impossible to meet people at their level. The moment you learned silver was manipulated it is becomes an immovable task to educate others. The individual must come to their own conclusions first. They first must struggle hard, and ask questions afterwards. Then and only then can they be receptive to whatever knowledge you hold and can share with them. Otherwise they think YOU are the stupid one. The crazy one. We are the outcasts of society, the rebels I might even say at the expense of being deemed cringe worthy. We can leave a trail of breadcrumbs, but we cannot lead them to the trail. They have to find it themselves. They need to seek answers before finding solutions.

But good news, life is about to get much more rigorous on the day to day basis we live in. In a matter of a few years our entire landscape will change. For all the ones who trust our system of things, in a few years their trust will be gone. Just as people are now learning to distrust politicians and celebrities, so too will they learn to vehemently distrust central banking. That is our ticket to stack more. More, more! Until one day we look back and say to ourselves "I wish I could have stacked more". So wait to really reach out. Wait until they don't have a choice but to learn. But for you to teach them. For you to be a teacher worth listening to.

I haven't seen one of those in person since I was a kid visiting the coin shop. No idea. It seems like there's a broad range of numismatic value, and it's a well done design. For something like that you'll need either a Red Book or a Blue Book. But with silver finally getting valued closer to what it's worth, even 2024 editions of either may be low/not accounting for bullion value.

Bald Guy Money is also pretty good because he is realistic. Or Gregory Mannarino because it's fun seeing someone know the truth on everything yet be unable to say anything about it on yt. Each for different reasons are equally entertaining. People I dropped were economic cringa and dan "buy my shit while I walk for thirty minutes."

>what criteria do you use to tell apart a good video from a bad one?
That's a real good question. Top of the foodchain, and fresh perspective. You have some thinkers like Luke Gromen is a macro analyst who come up with novel perspectives. You will find others who regurgitate, rehash what Luke has already said. Grant Williams is another macro guy who has sound perspective and isn't overexposed. They look at the big picture and talk about fundamentals. They don't tend to give precise price predictions and timelines.

People like Michael Oliver, Michael Pento, are technical analysists who are watching trends as they evolve and give fresh perspectives based on where in the curve we currently are at right now.

Francis Hunt is another TA guy, and will also often give precise price predictions and approximate timelines.

Then you have middle of the road guys, some of whom are nice guys like Mario Eneco. His content isn't novel, or precise, but he's a nice guy who is more of a macro guy. I like to listen to him occasionally and he sometimes has very interesting guests.

When you listen to enough videos, you get a sense for who is a macro guy and who is a TA, and who is just regurgitating other peoples stuff, or worse, just saying the same thing in every video.

The "Liberty and Finance" YT channel is nice because they feature a wide variety of guests, most of whom are okay, some great, some less so, but their videos are short, 30 minutes, so you can get a good overview of what someone has to say, and can get a sense that someone has something useful to say.

Adam Taggart of "Thoughtful Money" interviews a lot of good, very high profile guests that the smaller channels cannot get, but few of his weekly regulars are pumping their own bags. Just look at the channel listing and any faces you see regularly every week are what I am talking about.
>>
>>61233048
Francis Hunt is suggesting the GSR may break below 10:1. He talks about the treasury basis trade ponzi scheme running out of the Cayman Islands. Bankers are lending hedge funds 100:1 leveraged loans to buy US Treasuries. The basis trade works so long as the Treasury futures market has the correct price delta. If something breaks, the basis trade blows up and you can expect the Federal Reserve to bail them out just like in 2008.

He talks about Tether being a scam that will never be able to soak up enough treasuries to save the system.

He talks about it taking 108 years for gold to get to $1000, 12 years to get to $2000, another couple of years to get to $3000 and six months to get to $4000.
>>

I don’t watch any pm YouTube channels, the noise to dogshit clickbait slop channel ratio is far too high
>>
>>61233161
>Yeah, gold is a scam. Look at the day charts.
I thought you were the jeet for a second. It's okay to go all in on silver. Gold will double, maybe 4x. Silver will do a 10x+.

Some people have too much money and don't want to be bothered with the volume of silver. I don't have the problem of too much money, so I'm a silver guy.

Some people are living in Europe with a high VAT on silver and none on gold, and no capital gains on certain gold coins. That would effect my choices if I lived in those jurisdictions.

People who have to travel very light will also tend towards gold over silver, despite the fact silver has a much higher upside.

One cannot lose with either when the fiat dies.
>>
>>61233240
True, true. I don't want to cast shade on anybody looking to get out of paper promises and into something real. If you own any physical commodity you are a winner and will make it, but some winners are more equal than others.

The duran is quite interesting when it comes to geopolitics, their guest are also good. Occasionally they seem a bit biased, and some of their predictions are wrong. Proffesor jiang is a newcomer, he is abit crazy and schizo. But in a good way. They talk more of multipolarity which is connected to FIAT the dollar reserve etc
>>
>>61233258
>The duran is quite interesting when it comes to geopolitics, their guest are also good.
I like Alexander Mercouris, but I have to increase his speed to 1.5x. Glenn Diesen also has some good guests. I like Mearsheimer too.

You didn't answer whether or not you are from mainland China so I'll take it you are on wechat as we speak. Can't blame a group of people who are persecuted and have had their organs harvested for having a secondary opinion for hating their government. Shocking I know. Even in the 90's when it legitimately was nothing more than yoga with pseudo ancient Chinese tenants. The CCP blames everyone but themselves as to why people dislike their government.

But this is not the right place for this. This is /pmg/ and even if you are a dirty commie we don't care as long as you are stacking metal. The more people who stack metal the less power people in these shit ass governments have.

obviously.
However, after following the price action this week, I'm inclined to believe that gold was let loose for a while to catch up to an agreed-on price between who knows what factions. They never lost control of the paper market and the 4000ish threshold is where gold will remain for the time being. 3900-4100 is the new 1900-2100 for who knows how long. They can sell infinity paper gold and silver if they like. Gold will moon only when the whole charade falls apart. as long as the paper market is there, it won't (unless there's riots and the thing falls apart, as I say).

ASE aren't even a sure fire way to know you have pure silver since it's one of the most counterfieted and has shitty counterfeit measures.
You want instantly recognizable silver go with maples.
You want cheap rounds go with genetics. If you want to impress boomers and literally no one else stack only ASE.

I sold about 200 ounces of generic and converted them to ASE’s. So I lost ounces/weight. But it was maybe like 20 ounces? Maybe 16 ounces? I forgot. But losing those 15-20 ounces of weight was well worth the peace of mind knowing I’m not gonna be subject to any fuckery when the time comes.

My coin dealer was like WTF? And then few weeks back when some of these stores weren’t buying junk, I’m like, you now see why I did what I did? Even tho he was one of the dealers who was still buying junk/generics. And he was like hmmm yeah.
>>
>>61235581
To add to this. I did this when ASE’s were 3-4$ over like 5 months ago. So I was fucking myself but it was tolerable. Now with ASE’s at 7-8$ over I’d be really fucking myself if I was doing it now. But I would still probably do it.
>>
>>61235286
You very well may be right, but I’m not taking the risk at all. I’m not buying silver for fiat profits. If silver goes to $500 and home prices collapse and I have a 2 week window to sell 200 ounces of silver for a house or whatever then I’m not gonna be stuck with uncouth silver which will very likely have red tape involved in selling in one fashion or another. And if there’s some revaluation treasury buying or whatever, I want the good shit. The fact that you can’t grasp that the govt will maybe fuck uncouth silver holders vs ASE holders means you aren’t thinking.

>>
>>61235286
If the govt knows that the plebs owning silver is bad for them. And the govt knows that 90% of silver stackers are stacking junk/generic you don’t think the govt could roll out the red carpet for the minority of silver holders stacking ASE’s while fucking the majority stacking their uncouth silver. They’ll throw a bone to the ASE people. Let them kill it, then they will tell the unwashed silver holders, “well, you should have attacked ASE’s, which is constitutional money.” And they give you 3/10ths the value of what the real money holders get.

>>61235799
I know I was just adding to what I was saying.

The weight doesn’t matter like you think it does. Yes, the more the better. 1,700 ounces of silver is better than 300 ounces. But for any of this to work out like stackers think it will work out, it won’t require that much silver to be pretty well set. What is a 1%’er? 400 ounces? And that’s amongst people who actually own in America. What do you think a 1%’er is for the entire American population? Probably 60 ounces???

So when you say I’m discouraging people from stacking weight. Well, not really, cuz you could be as happy as a pig in shit with a mere 100 ounces if this all goes our way like we hope it will go our way. And you people are saying buy shit generics, which is fine, and I’m telling people that don’t be fucking surprised if you get fucked in the ass. So if some newbie poorfag has $5,500 he wants to put into silver. I’m saying get the 100 ounces of legit silver vs 120 ounces of uncouth silver (minus merc dimes of course, since I’m the creator of that meme)

Yeah, it's a literal seethrough dress made of tiny thin mesh links, and the weight of said dress style is google-able.
I thought it was retarded of anyone to think it weighs a lot. In the first place full chainmail armor weighs like 40 pounds, it doesn't way 1/2 of that, it doesn't way 1/4 of that, it's not stopping knives, it's extremely thin silver wire so thin it can "flow" when it moves, and it's made to be worn over bear nipples.

If you where the originator of the meme you would understand that.
ASE have the worst anti-cointerfeit measures of all coins. If it gets to the point that being bullion over generic matters maples will be worth more than ase's anyway.
