The compliance for a lot of this stuff will eat away at your assets unless you're worth well into the 8 figures.Assume you are US-based and have normal assets. Here's what you should do>Primary residence is homesteaded in your name + wife's name (if applicable), plus has a revocable living trust on the title>All bank accounts are in you + wife's name, as well as the revocable living trust>Ensure beneficiaries are up to date on bank accounts since many are TOD rather than needing to go through probate or even through a trust distribution>Utilize multisig companies for crypto holdings>Compile a document with all of your bank account names, numbers and access mechanisms, as well as who is on the title/account>Title vehicles in your name + wife, using an "OR" rather than an "AND" (this gives them the ability to do what they want solo without also needing your signature)>Have life insurance and keep the beneficiaries up to dateThis is literally all 99% of people will ever need. If you're giga rich sure, look at DAF, irrevocable trusts, setting up a family office, etc, but this is /biz/ so most of you are broke.

I'm going to buy my brother a shitbox car when his breaks because he's a minimum wagie and his life would be ruined without a car. That's the sort of stuff I try to do. If I gave him $5,000 it would disappear into the poverty void of his bad decisions and obese single moms with two kids and credit card debt.
