Tax advantaged chads get in here. What's our benefits strategy for 2026 enrollment?Obvious gimme> max 401k match> max Roth on Jan - 7k> max ibonds on Jan 1 - 10k> max HSA (use high deducible plan) - 4.3k
>>61240914Based, I have the same stack except >max ibonds on Jan 1 - 10kredpill me on this one?
>>61241340The rates are ok but interest doesn’t count as income until you redeem the bond (anytime after 1 year). So you can defer taxes. Only good if you have high income. Limited to 10k per person. It’s really fast to liquidate so works for emergency fund. Buy on treasury direct
I have the max match set at my work for my 401k and I have the max contribution set on my HSA. Is the Roth IRA really worth it? I only know a little bit about them, how are they different than just having a 401k?
Here's a fun trick employers like to play:They will tell you to do the high deductible plan with HSA, while forgetting to tell you your wage is so low you won't be able to save up the deductible amount unless you're just putting your whole pay check into the HSA.
>>61243313Roth IRA money grows and withdraws tax-free, while 401k money is taxed later.
>>61243440So no capital gains or anyrhing on an IRA? Do you have to wait until you are 60 to withdraw or can you withdraw anytime?
>>61243339How high is your deductible?
>>612434744X’d my Roth IRA with GBTC this cycle. Will do it again in one year. That’s another trick: roundabout way to convert your retirement fund into Bitcoin. There’s no tax on the gains.
>>61243313In terms of priority you have it down, but yes Roth IRA is god tier. You can withdraw contributions for certain purposes (such as to buy a house) before age 60>>61243339Can only assume you are a dumb low level shift worker
