socialism is great until you run out of other peoples money. why dont these governments try being business friendly? that creates jobs. and stop importing poor people to lower wages?
>>61243598an exit tax is double taxation. i would invest elsewhere at that point.

>HELLO, TRUTHSEEKERS? /BIZ/ IS FALLING FOR DISINFORMATION AGAIN! Wow once again /biz/ is falling for anti-Starmer propaganda? He inherited 14 years of absolute CHAOS from the c*nservatives and is doing a brilliant job so far. I thought you guys were smarter, but let's unpack this! 1- It's not an exit tax! It's a removal of an existing exemption that was actually quite unique to the UK and not found in any other G7 country. This law actually brings the UK in line with similar western economies. 2- What has changed? Up until now, if you had assets in the UK and moved to a different country, you could then sell your assets and not pay any capital gains tax. This created a massive loophole where someone who wanted to dispose of an asset would "move" to a different country for a couple months, sell the asset tax free then return to the UK. 3- Most people are unaffected by this! This is not to target your average plumber who is moving to Australia. The vast majority of people in the UK have assets either in the form of residential real estate or stocks and shares through an ISA or pension account. None of these are affected by this change. If you have an ISA saved up and want to move abroad and take your savings with you, you will not pay any extra tax or "exit tax". Please let's leave misinformation on /pol/ and /b/. This is a board that prides itself in accurate information so that users can make fact-based financial decisions.

>>61243583Government produced fud to stem the white-flight exodus of bongs leaving the UKYou can't outrun the brown hoard, but you can outrun the nation next to you. Move to Australia/NZ and you may live through the fourth turning
>>61243620Their owners don't want that. They want what they currently get.
>>61243583I read earlier today that the median Bongistani net worth is lower than the median net worth of people in our poorest state, Mississippi.Ever been to Mississippi? It's mile after mile of farms interspersed with shitty little shacks filled with toothless old blacks. The cities are, if anything, worse because the blacks who moved to them are the young violent ones. Google says the state is over one-third black and about one-third age 65+.
>>61243908>it's totally ok for them to tax you for leaving because you OWE US!!!tongue my anus, you Caribbean welfare queen
>>61243908This is wrong. There was already a rule by which you paid CGT retroactively if you returned to the UK within 5 years. If you are leaving permanently there should be no tax.
>>61243583No, it actually doesn't. The on and off ramps for BTC makes it too easy for cex's to freeze your account or allow government to seize your funds. There are some shitholes in the world where you could probably live as a crypto native and never touch fiat. You don't want to spend more than a week in any of those places though.
