How do you manage family relationships and getting rich? I've been becoming more wealthy as the years pass and realize that I may hit 3m soon. One conflict that I don't know how I'm going to deal with (hopefully I won't), is my family finding out about my NW and trying to get in on the wealth somehow. Up til now I've been good at hiding it but after a certain point I'm going to get tired of hiding shit all the time.

>>61244477I thought about that. I don’t think there’s any way to avoid discovery of your good fortune. I think a better way is to admit it, but to keep the extent of it to yourself. They don’t need to know it’s 3 million, but they can know that you’ve done well. I plan to try and strike that balance. If asked directly as to my net worth, I would demur but hint at a level that’s approximately 1/3rd my actual wealth. Maybe not even that much.
