I'm looking for a new job and most of the equivalent jobs pay less than I currently make. And even then when I apply 9/10 I'm ghosted, the other 1/10 I talk to a recruiter and then I'm ghosted. Literally haven't had a single interview in months of applying.

I'm in a senior tech role with over 10 years experience.

I recently got a $74k/yr job at a big company that’s been on a hiring streak. I’m mid 20s with a mid tier business degree so could be doing a lot worse. When I first got out of college I was making like $50k a year with my first full time position so I’ve been able to keep up well enough relative to the doomerism I constantly hear. Current company also has great benefits and will pay my tuition to get a masters degree so that’s my next step.

I used to be domineering and narcissistic. Which 90% of the time would get me what I wanted like pussy, opportunities, and respect. After going to therapy I changed allot to have a more stable life. I eventually found an inner state of wholeness. Staying in this state and giving my best presence in conversation is like a curse. Yeah I'm happier inside but people don't respect me like they did before. I can't get the same tier puss. During work I get looked over for positions, because "i'm returning the shopping cart and not bragging about it".

It feels this whole gay world is backwards where the worst behaviour gets praise, and genuine is treated as if worthless.
