Is Luxembourg an attractive place to live financially?
>>
What financial aspects do you care about? The cost of living is high. But do you care more about wages/salaries, various taxes, home prices, or what?

Taxes for self employed, so personal income tax and corporate tax. Wondering if it's better or worse than Belgium. Cost of living, that would be just housing cost? As you can buy food in France for example

Numbeo measures "cost of living" by looking at many things, not just housing. Here's the data for Luxembourg (the city):

https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/in/Luxembourg

You mentioned buying food in France. Numbeo has some grocery prices in Thionville:

https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/in/Thionville-France

They don't have data for Longwy, but maybe it's similar to Thionville. I doubt you'd go all the way to Metz for groceries.

I don't think Luxembourg has a corporate tax for freelancers. From what I've read, total taxes for a self-employed person are probably slightly lower than in Belgium for the same income.

Trying to figure out if it would be worth the hassle of moving countries. Clearly taxes may be somewhat lower in total. Need to calculate the yearly potential savings. As for my business, in theory it wouldn't be really affected as I often work in France for projects and also work mostly remotely

Dentists make like half a million euros in Belgium, they are not very incentivized to leave
>>
>>61256766
they rip your taxes out of your dick and blame you for bleeding
they have kafkaesque bureaucracy where they give you the runaround and blame you for getting lost
it's not freelance nor startup friendly at all, see above.

no taxes on bitcoin/crypto if you keep them for at least 6 months before selling but that could change now since the french faggots want to tax crypto and luxembourg likes to ape the frogs

You need to learn the gayest language in existence if you want to live here.

French

No rational person would ever subject themselves to such misery voluntarily

It's one of the most capitalist countries on earth so obviously living standards for the working class are high there.
It really makes communist bootlickers seethe.

Why are Anglos always so jealous of the french ? You realize they don't think about you at all right ?
>>
>>61258482
I speak French already

Luxemburg is german not french
you stupid fuck
>>
>>61260723
>>61260723

Assuming you keep working with French and Belgian customers, and just move there for fiscal incentives, you could make it work without German?
>>
>>61260783
yes, the speak multiple languages
but their regional dialect is a version of german
>>
>>61260794
*they
>>
>>61260723
You're better off only knowing French and nothing else than knowing Luxembourgish, German and English but no French. That's the reality of Luxembourg.
>>
I think I am going to do it.
>>
>>61256766
No it isn't, better to keep away
