The fact that this can openly happen and no one gives a shit really demonstrates the market is controlled by criminals.

Kinda retarded of you to look at this and think that it was purposefully done to get the "long liquidations". If you had an ounce of a brain, you'd realize that it looks pretty balanced in both directions.
What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you allergic to accountability? You longed a very obvious head and shoulders setup that was going to break downward anyway. So many of us called it here before it happened but you were too busy bullposting.

Reading heatmaps like this is a blindspot in my /biz/ literacy. Would anyone be willing to spoonfeed a tl;dr? I get that it's a density map of interest at various levels, but what are we looking at? Buy/sell orders?
>>
>>61317823
It shows where liquidations are likely going to happen
>>
>>61317812
You're absolutely delusional. I am a different person but whatever man, you longed on leverage, ate shit, I understand it is hard. Just stop getting schizo about it, or do so, I don't care. I am up today, I was shorting last night.

>high leverage==low liquidation thresholds(yellow)
>manipulate the price of BTC to the liquidation point(easy when the market is closed)
>liquidate the position, collect the margin
>the snake slurps the piss
>>
these have got to be bots
>>
>>61317870
It's a simplification for exchanges hunting liquidations. They can dump the spot price, take the juicy longs/shorts collateral and open an inverse position back to original prices. Again, it's a simplification and there are n other factors that this analysis excludes like options expiry
>>
>>61317892
All are me
>>
>>61317886
>>61317894
I think I get it now. So this is like a map of targets of opportunity for exchanges to prey on. Find where people have been too optimistic, then manipulate the price to liquidate them and slurp up the wreckage. Too bright a spot means Greed has outstripped Fear and the exchanges start whetting their carving knives.
>>
>>61317912
exchanges can't manipulate the price, it's a myth.
the price is organic

What about long term, think he'll dump more in the coming days/weeks or will he bring the price back up to where it was before he pulled this latest stunt
>>
>>61318186
kek
>>
>>61317937
if it's that easy why won't you just long or short in direction of the nearest yellow line? you could even write liquidation hunting bot in 5 minutes and become millionaire instead of posting this moronic theories here
>>
>>61318236
I have been literally doing that
>>
>>61318253
sure, and I was doing the exact opposite and made a quadrillion.
>>
>>61318175
no he is not. zoom out the heatmap. you will see dozens of time points where, according to this 'theory', it should have gone towards the yellow line, but went in the other direction. also: one random fed decision or trump tweet has a 100x stronger impact than these TA-like vodoo. guy posting here was either lucky or he just wants you to short.

just think about it for a while. imagine lots of whales doing this exact strategy. so in this example, biggest yellow line is below, so all of them short. price goes down a bit. but now there are two problems:
1. with their decision, they just created another yellow line, but now ABOVE the price. lets say that it is even bigger than the previous one. so what should they do? change the direction? so they close their positions. but doing that, this newer yellow line dissapears. and price goes up again. so where now? down? but who created first yellow line? in reality, its total chaos. this lines are created by many, independent agents, having different stop losses, operating on different time frames, with a different risk tolerance etc.
2. to win with this strategy, one have to close their position before the rest who hold the majority of same-directed positions do so, i.e. before the price rebounds. so everyone will try to close the position a bit before the yellow line, and closing means pressure in the opposite direction. with each successive "liquidity hunter" this process will happen more ahead of the line.

>>61318471
are you okay?
chill buddy it's just a game
and the piss snake is winning pssssss
>>
>>61318471
It's all fucked. I regret ever getting into crypto.
What's your opinion on the current situation. Can we recover at all, go even past 100k? Or is it completely fucked and it's just gonna keep dumping further and further. I'm deciding whether to cut my massive losses short before they get even bigger or hope for a good recovery to at least minimize the damage as much as I can
>>
>>61318494
sometime piss snake leaves yellow lines for later, there are certainly some over 100k
>>
>>61318518
Yeah but I've got a few longs open and the fees are nibbling on my fiat. I don't know what to do, close the positions or hold, if hold - how long. My liquidation for bitcoin's at 80k right now
>>
>>61318494
if you aint on leverage, I would say just leave it there for few months/years. we will almost certainly reach new ath one day, but will we tank in the process? probably. I myself am planning to buy even more if it goes down really deep.
>>61318489
saying something substantive doesn't mean somebody is not chilled. rn I am shorting some shitcoins so I am pretty much content.

I'm on leverage. >>61318533
Never touching this shit again. Made some okay profits but they all got negated and then some with this bullshit dump.
>>
>>61318533
I dunno how big are your losses, but I'd wait for the Christmas rally and then sell everything.
>>
>>61318540
If it could pump to 103k or even 104k in the short term, max a month, I'd cut the small losses I'd have and leave. But I'm worried that not only will it not only recover soon but that it will dump again massively. I'm just so lost man
>>
>>61318574
>103k or even 104k
that's literally nothing, it could be there in a week or even less, I'm betting on 111k in a month or so and then down we go
>>
>>61318574
be aware of sunken cost fallacy. it's better to cut losses early on and learn your lesson than watch the boat slowly sink.
imo the economy is fucked and we are going downtrend. you can always reframe your investment thesis later on with a fresh mind.
random fool's tip: cash out and touch grass. come back and dominate (with no more than 1% net worth in leverage)
>>
>>61318593
It does seem possible until I consider what's to stop binance from dumping again. Any day some crazy price action could happen because of this manipulation, it's a never-ending Russian roulette and the gun's always pointed at you.
And what about resistance? Isn't 100k resistance now?
>>
>>61318607
>sunk cost
fix'd
it's so tiresome
>>
>>61318607
The economy is fucked but since this is crypto we could literally pump to 120k right now. What I'm saying is that nothing seemingly matters anymore, the gov reopening was supper bullish and a major rally was expected and now look where we are

for me this rationale looks like just blind gambling if you don't know a good catalyst for such a wild price swing. and if you know one, why not just buy a cheap OTM call?
mfs tamed BTC with so many derivatives

Yes. This snake meta is too strong
How do you act when there is a piss divergence, like when yellow lines on shorter frames are UP while on the longer ones it indicates DOWN?
