Richfags, what do you tell your friends and family? Do they know you're rich?
most of my friends are in a similar economic class. Turns out people who are not even poor just middle to lower upper class don't rent aspen ski houses, have 200k track cars to go racing with, and take 30,000 dollar trips to Italy over thanksgiving. It's really just an IQ test, to make it for late 30s and literally have nothing of your life, are those people you'd want to have as friends anyway?

Not rich (1.3m) but everyone I told started resenting me and or implying I didn't deserve it. Even family members who should be rooting for me to succeed. What the fuck is wrong with people? If my siblings won the lottery I'd be happy for them.

I kinda feel mostly lonely.However one very positive thing I still work but I actually enjoy my job now, it's a creative job, I used to hate it for the pressure of deadlines and expectations, but now that I don't desperately need this job, I enjoy it now because I don't care if I get fired, I love the feeling of how I can basically tell my boss to fuck off anytime with zero care of getting fired but strangely I noticed nobody also gives me a hard time anymore, doesn't overload me with any unrealistic amount of tasks, its as if I clearly carry myself in the most convincing manner that I don't need this job and applying any form of pressure is not working. I think they know I'm not in fear of any repercussions, they stopped taking advantage of me, it's a bizarre liberating feeling. Very strange observation

The only things tying me back to America are the house and car I'm still paying for and my parents/sisters. Only a couple of people know I’m loaded: a friend from school (rents out a few houses through his rich wife and he's still working a comfy hospital pharmacy gig) and an old Vietnamese dude from my past hospital job (investments + sold his wife’s nail salon).
