Today, the melt value of a nickel is greater than it's face value. Maybe we should be stacking nickels before hyperinflation hits.

So is copper, people have been hoarding old pennies for years, potentially triple the value.
It won't matter until we're legally allowed to deface tender via melting it down.

If you buy pennies at the bank, they're mostly going to be zinc.

Pennies made during and before 1982 are copper but now they are made of mostly zinc
