off boarder coming to blog post without lurking

LOOOOOL so today I closed my 100 UVXY call contracts because I saw there was gonna be a reverse split, but on another account I had anther 100 SQQQ calls just chilling that I was not aware of that they were getting reverse split too

WHICH SUCKS

idk if u nigs ever had to deal with options and splits, but they basically get shoved to the back of the exchange where you get raped with even worse spreads because the multiplier isn't standard 100x anymore and no one is really looking to do anything except make markets and get mispriced vol to balance their books. I really wanted to avoid being the raped, but it's looking like I'm gonna get double raped tomorrow because NVDA spiked and so did /NQ along with it (so my SQQQ calls are going DOWN)

WHATEVER
I'm not sure what the game plan is now, maybe just work an order near the ask and see if any shorts want to hit me to close out :/ probably won't beat HFT tho, maybe we get one more leg down?

Some people swear by DCA. I prefer to just pile up cash until a decent little pullback, like we had beginning of this week, then pile in. You get regular pullbacks so you won't be sitting long. There could still be a dump like April but those aren't that common....ideally that's where you enter, but it doesn't sound like you're playing with tens of thousands

Why is Circle down when it should be skyrocketing? It's literally the only wanna be bank that wants to give crypto commercial use. I got 10$ in, I want them to turn into 1 million.
>>
The stages of a gambler's downfall:
I) Complete dissipation of the bank account, which is completely depleted and will even go in red in order to sustain the gambling.
II) The gambler sells all of his disposable goods, may they be jewels or furniture, clothes etc. All the money gathered are spent in gambling.
III) The gambler starts to go into debt with every single financial institution, financial intermediary and loan shark; all the money borrowed are used for gambling.
IV) All the debts that have been accumulated start to take their toll, the income of the gambler cannot sustain the payment rates anymore at this point, especially for the fact that the gambling continues.
V) Despite being forced to cut the expenses to the minimum of the minimum, the gambler is unable to pay off the huge number of creditors; the collaterals are immediately executed and legals procedures are immediately started to ensure the writ of execution.
VI) All the goods of the gambler are executed, he is now an homeless destitute; forced to beg for money on the streets, he is constantly chased by the creditors that will immediately take everything he will ever own in the future.

THIS COULD BE YOUR FUTURE IF YOU DON'T STOP GAMBLING, REMEMBER: THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS, THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO WIN AT GAMBLING, STOP BEFORE IS TOO LATE, DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE.

JFC, get the sand out of your panties and talk to a financial advisor or someone down at Schwab or Fidelity if you are this fricking desperate. My dude, people have already given you sound advice. Now you’re being a drama queen.

Pic a Mag 7 stock. Amazon, Google or Microsoft (or a little of all three). Open a position with whatever free cash you have. Once you have done this, do NOT touch them. Add $100/mo or whateverthefuck you can manage to those one - three stocks. In the mean time you open positions in the ETF’s I mentioned above or whateverthefuck you choose. Stuff that tracks the S&P, Nasdaq, Russel or sector ETF’s are all good upward grinders with DRIP enabled.

Also look for physical opportunities: maybe a new job with better pay or better intrinsic value (shorter commute, one-day home office, better 401k match, etc.). Money is literally lying on the street and fortunately most people are too fat, lazy or stupid to see it.

I bought Amazon and Microsoft in the mid/late 1990’s. My poorfag investment of a few grand on those two hit $400k at the peek a few weeks ago. Time is your best commodity and lord knows I have wasted a lot of it. You need to set your boomer stocks up and forget them in the sense you cannot reduce the position but only add. Resist logging onto your account all the time. Listen to anons, anon. Some of us want to see anons do good.

buy in when it drops and never sell

Just finished getting the necessary licenses. Retirement isn't really something that interest me. I see what my dad has done with retirement and it's depressing. I want to build a business that I can help my kids nurture so they can run while I'm older

SPY pumping. what do the jombs numbers say?
>>
>Both the unemployment rate, at 4.4 percent, and the number of unemployed people, at 7.6 million,
changed little in September. These measures are higher than a year earlier, when the jobless rate
was 4.1 percent, and the number of unemployed people was 6.9 million. (See table A-1.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult women (4.2 percent) and Asians (4.4
percent) increased in September. The jobless rates for adult men (4.0 percent), teenagers (13.2
percent), Whites (3.8 percent), Blacks (7.5 percent), and Hispanics (5.5 percent) showed little or
no change over the month. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

>Total nonfarm payroll employment edged up by 119,000 in September but has shown little change since
April. In September, employment continued to trend up in health care, food services and drinking
places, and social assistance. Job losses occurred in transportation and warehousing and in federal
government. (See table B-1.)

In September, health care added 43,000 jobs, about the same as the average monthly gain of 42,000
over the prior 12 months. Over the month, employment gains occurred in ambulatory health care
services (+23,000) and hospitals (+16,000).

Employment in food services and drinking places continued to trend up in September (+37,000).

In September, social assistance employment continued to trend up (+14,000), reflecting continued
job growth in individual and family services (+20,000).

Employment in transportation and warehousing declined by 25,000 in September as job losses occurred
in warehousing and storage (-11,000) and couriers and messengers (-7,000).

Federal government employment continued to decline in September (-3,000) and is down by 97,000
since reaching a peak in January. (Employees on paid leave or receiving ongoing severance pay are
counted as employed in the establishment survey.)

It's only a bit generational, if you go on Plebbit to look at the freak gallery, you see a lot of bogleheads who are fine with like 7% year that allows them to retire in their 60s. To be clear, I'm not saying having a bogley portfolio is a bad thing if you are, like, my mom or like that friend I have, but if your hobby is talking is talking about finance and you're a boglehead you can't be helped. No, IB has a system that you have to tard-wrangle manually where if you have X shares and you give it the job to sell Y shares (e.g. via assignment), that IB then interprets this as you wanting to sell X shares but to also go short (Y - X) shares.

Just because you want to sell your long shares doesn't mean you also want to short the same stock.
