If you think about it, the warrants are basically gme liquidity at a premium, Why wouldn't someone short gme be desperate enough to get a hold of as many warrants as possible, exercise them, and then begin dumping those shares into the market?There was a reason the share and bond offerings got bought up so quickly. gme is not a liquid stock. And those offerings were liquidity. Same with the warrants. Except that liquidity comes at a price. Short sellers need the liquidity. They need locates and shares. Would they really let the shares tied to warrants just sit there unused? I'm still green on GME and honestly, I actually want it to go lower so I can average down. It feels like we're pulling back for a sneeze, if not MOASS. The interesting part to take note of is that the actual fundamentals have nothing to do with price whatsoever. The shorts don't even seem to be able to ignore it either. They have to give shares away for free just to ignore bankruptcy for a little bit of time. They literally NEED to have the share price this low to lock in some sort of swap. (They crush it super low so they can offload the temporary losses onto a healthy financial institution. The naked short sellers would now we long and they profit on the sneeze which will help them stay solvent for the duration of the swap. Sucks to be them. Because they can only dig the hole deeper and every buy order from now until the next swap is just more risk they have to hide via a counterparty. Probably a good idea to start DRSing some shares.
