Might be a good idea for /biz/ to start looking into tokens and projects dealing with Multi Party Computation (MPC), it can be used for everything fromDecentralized Digital IDs>Will be a 100 billion dollar market in 5 years>European Union mandate to begin the rollout starts next year>DIDs utilizing MPC protocols are massively more secure against potential server hacks, meaning no mass rape will occur in the event of a server breach.>Increasing European and Japanese regulations almost guaranteed to make MPC protected Digital Identities mandatory in the next year, Europe and Japan already heading towards MPC, a single data leak and this timeline massively accelerates for the rest of the worldDecentralized verifiable credentials>60% of global enterprises are expected to adopt these by NEXT YEAR as well as most/if not all Western Governments, spearheaded by the EU and Japan. Will be integrated into Digital ID Wallets>blockchain anchored MPC protected Verifiable Credentials basically means people can't fraud their way into jobs with faked credentials anymore (it's over)Quantum proof MPC crypto wallets>will prevent institutional investors from being quantum RAPED>use case is obviousAnonymizing then computing and analyzing customer databases>can be used between banks, hospitals and governments for fraud detection, medical research and detecting tax evasion>currently extremely difficult to do due to privacy regulations between country's, a bank in Japan cannot compare customer records with its subsidiary in Europe for example, MPC allows this cross border computation of data in line with privacy regulations>use case for this is endless
>>61446694Secure Machine Learning>enables training AI models on distributed datasets while keeping each party’s data private.>hospitals can train diagnostic models on patient data across institutions without sharing medical records. If you are invested in any crypto project that's involved in stuff like Digital Identities and Digital passports but does not or cannot use MPC to secure them then you should probably think of jumping ship to something else because they will be made redundant next year.Crypto Projects involved in Multi Party ComputationPartisia Blockchain>Partnership with the massive Toppan Group in Japan, the Mitsubishi financial conglomerate may or may not be involved, will be rolled out to millions of workers and university students in Japan, Toppans established government and business contacts means it will spread rapidly in and outside of Japan>Blockchain is being set up to be the MPC backbone infrastructure of the world for any usecase and can be used by anyone at any time on any EVM compatible chain (MPC-as-a-Service)>Cross-Chain Interoperability, external blockchains can bridge assets or DATA into Partisia, perform privacy-preserving computations, and then send results back.>can act as a privacy Layer 2 for public blockchains.>private smart contracts>could do a 1000xAleo Network>MPC private Payroll project>150m mcap>discord has 500k members>does for privacy on ethereum what zcash did for bitcoin>backed by coinbase>could do a 100xSecret Network (formerly sneednigma)>enables MPC on Ethereum>may or may not have actually implemented MPC despite having half a decade to do so>will probably do a 100x anyway because of name recognitionDusk Network>involved in Confidential Security Contracts (XSCs) for instructional trading or some shit idk>Involved in Real-World AssetsChainlink>apparently setting up some hybrid solution that looks alot like multi party computation or something
Do you think decentralized digital ID is the first use case that will be widely adopted? All of it sounds promising, but the other use cases feel more theoretically interesting, while lots of people might quickly adopt an ID solution that helps with sorting out botniggers.
>>61446718>Do you think decentralized digital ID is the first use case that will be widely adopted?most likely, especially for future crypto ICOs>but the other use cases feel more theoretically interestingThere is going to be a lot of money involved in these use cases in the next few years, stuff like letting banks cross check for fraud and risk by dumping massive lists into multi party computation programs and then computing on them confidentiallyA massive usecase i forgot to put on the list is marketing, Multi Party computation allows cross company data sharing without the companies needing to give all their data to each otherits all too high IQ for me to fully understand what they're up to with this stuff
