I really need a job and despite having sent lots of applications I only seem to get them turned down.

I am running short on time and money, unemployment benefits are over and it's getting frightening. It's not like the job market is that bad where I live.

I am tired of a downwards spiral that doesn't seem to get me anywhere. I had decent luck before but ever since I had a kid, my life went downhill fast (and I like my kid, I am not blaming him, he is fun). Is there a limit to bad luck?
I really just want and need a decent life, a steady job and a cool wife and spend good time with my kid. Why does it have to be so complicated?

Have you made a profile on Indeed?
Or LinkedIn?
Granted, LinkedIn has become a bit of a social media cesspool platform but you can find useful connections for job market there, and it's like a 24/7/365 advertisement of your resume to potential employers.
I think it's helped me more than once in this way.

Indeed used to be really good. It's still decent but definitely watered down some nowadays because infusion of AI, marketing and potential scam/filler/fake postings.
If your observent you can avoid the pitfalls.
I always get valid hits and leads from Indeed.

You do have a good resume to post right?

Also, it's not difficult to get recruiters begging for the chance to market you to employers.

What country are you in? US or Canada?

I worked as a gemmologist, and I had a few experiences in logistics and as production operator before.

Thanks,

I am on both, sent applications through agencies and through linkedin, but it hasn't paid so far.

For some reason it was quite easy up until 2022, then things are just difficult.

I updated my resume quite a few times but to no avail. I'll keep sending stuff here and there and see how it goes.

I do stuff as a hobbies, but nothing that will earn me money now. I am not becoming self employed or independant right now for sure (even in desperation, there's no way I can do that now, I would need more capital to start anything. Perhaps later in life if I am still alive, and with more experience).

Well I remember a few times I couldnt get the job I wanted until I resolved myself to be willing to move to another part of the country.
I know thats not easy for some people. but thats what finally opened doors for me.

Right... But think about the immigrants and their shit hole country. Why are you so selfish and racist?
>>
>>61452627
How did that help?
>>
>>61452514

Well, perhaps the white women who voted for this shit can tell you to apply harder.

so whats a reliable skill/knowledge that gives you a job?

Get something seasonal, they'll hire anyone. You'll have a solid end date and so you can work while you look for a better opportunity to start on when your season ends.

You can go where the job openings are. I thought that should have been obvious.
>>
ULINE might have something for you even if it's just until you find something more relevant to your specialized skills
