Itd be cheaper for society to give 90% of the country $1200 a month than for them to work. Crazy huh?
>>61518659You clearly haven't read the book. The whole point of BS jobs is to ensure that the system continues to exist. Crashing the entire system with no concrete plan for the next system or other system catching what is breaking down will just be more harmful in the long run.
>>61518659It'd be cheaper to kill them all then.
>>61519161they'd kill you back
Literally everything about this book is absolute bullshit.
>>61518659Most bullshit jobs aren't even bullshit jobs. I will give as an example a job that no one considers bullshit, but would be considered as one if it were judged to the same standards as known bullshit jobs: guards. We all know or saw guards that spend over 90% of their time on the clock doing nothing. They just smoke, listen to the radio, read a book, and these days even watch videos or play games on their phones. Yet, they are still needed for that 10% of the time where they are needed to engage with people, and on rare occasions even risk their own lives. An office drone who pretends to work for 7 hours after completing everything in under an hour is the same in my eyes. His employers aren't exactly losing money on him, on the contrary they generate money from his labor. He could slack off for 90% of the time but when he and his experience are really needed, then he is right there ready to help. The examples in the book are extremes and rare.
>>61519208Found the taskmaster lolkms yourself
>>61519209>He cherry picked examples>Let me give you my own cherrypicked exampleAHAHAHAHAH
>>61519239My example was to give an analogy to other occupations, not to pretend it represents most occupations like how the book implies most white collar jobs are bullshit,
David Graeber books are what people read to say to themselves that they’re intelligent. Graeber is one of those leftists who comes up with an idea of how society should function and then finds evidence to support it, rather than using evidence to discover an idea. In other words, he’s a hack.
>>61519209A security guards presence is a deterrent enough in most cases so him "doing nothing" is actually doing something worth paying for.No office drone is that specialised in todays plug and play society besides extremely niche jobs.
>>61519233im glad the commie author of this "book" died
>>61519161You don't say...
>>61519209This man should be pinned to the floor and RAPED
>>61519209Youre not looking imto it far enough. Everyone would have less money, theyd consume less, theyd cost less, theyd have to get by with less.
>>61518659book was mostly nonsense
