Actual inflation numbers are 0.8% right now for both. Solana is at 13%. Bitcoin will suffer from chain security issues in few halvings when (block reward * BTCUSD) starts falling and bringing hashrate down. It will either 1) hard fork and change its issuance schedule or 2) eventually get 51% attacked and perma reorged unusable with empty or censored blocks. Ethereum security model is future proofed for centuries to come. Imagine if Ethereum had a supply cap at 150M (that's breakable with a hard fork, just like Bitcoin's 21M) and Bitcoin had infinite 1 sat block rewards after the last 2140 halving. What would change? Infinite supply and hardcaps are a fucking joke when crypto is programmatically scarce.
