What the fuck happened? I thought this was a bluechip coin at this point.

Price been going down all year, who tf cares
>>61524535It's interesting. This seems like an attempt to passive-aggressively pressure Aave Labs into giving more money to big AAVE holders, presented under the guise of a decentralization fight. I don't think it's realistic for Aave Labs to "transfer IP ownership" to the DAO, with all the legal implications that entails. Token holders want more money from Horizon and the protocol in general, fair enough, but Aave Labs is unquestionably the face of the product, the steward of the website and of Aave socials, and there is no realistic way for the DAO to assume control, even if they ultimately state that these things will be leased to Aave Labs. Quite frankly, these things were never the property of the DAO to begin with. I will also say that my previous experience with Marc Zeller (in Aavegotchi governance) was not particularly positive, and that project is a very good example of a DAO <-> agent relationship (PixelCraft, in this case) that became very retarded and dysfunctional. This strong seems to be specifically about money and being scared that Aave Labs is going to eat their lunch
>>61522728>>Bluechip Coin
>>61524966Is my QRD correct?>CoW Swap added to Aave website and millions of fees start going to Labs>DAO seethes and feels the fees belong to them>DAO proposal to take ownership of Aave IP like social media and website away from Labs>probably the most important DAO proposal of all time>meant to be a start of a slow process, initiate discussion etc. not final>Labs doesn't like this>Labs sneakily force-escalates it to voting phase without author knowing>this happens during Christmas, the busiest days of the year when everyone logs off>doesn't give time for Aave holders to move their tokens for voting>all designed to make a mess out of the proposal>DAO vs. Labs chaos ensues>token dumps because of Labs hostility
>>61524535I think it's over for AAVE
>>61525056about right, also there was apparently supposed to be a Horizon token instead of funneling it to the Aave token. man, I feel like a goof now for buying this dip, I should've just bought some other bullshit
>>61522728Just a pull back. Nothing compared to OM a while ago.
can retards in crypto stop fumbling everything at the finish line? it's like you want to fail on purpose
>>61525059>>61525056>>61524966>>61524535>>61522728Dang. Thankful I got lucky with AAVE this cycle. The other 2021 coin I went big on was Enjin and that was delisted and rugged. This gives me ENJ vibes. Scratch off one more shitcoin for next cycle.
>>61525898I hope $AAVE might now be too big to fail/rug, at least without nuking defi, but this drama will certainly depress the price for a while and illuminate how Stani really feels about token holders.
>>61524966>>61525056i know nothing but just wanted to chime in and say that this sounds like when "certain people" start piling into a shitcoin and demanding all liquidity be locked up, contract revoked, etc.from personal experience, "certain people" will use the opportunity to then take the platform in question on a wild and fatal pump and dump, after which they will abandon it, dead and rotting, while everyone blames the developer who can't do anything anymore>t. could be entirely wrong about all of that and none of that applies here, who knows
>>61529142Nah ACI and BGD are OGs who have direct roots back to Aave labs. They could conceivably continue development of Aave without labs which is why this dispute has teeth- labs has the votes but they don’t have allies and they may be regarded as non-essential if worst comes to worst
>>61522728Idc I'm still staking. Aave is fucking awesome, and that's that
The wick to 80 is going to get filled. Same applies to all the other shitcoins and their wicks from the 10/10 crash.Institutions realized BTC and crypto are worthless and now there is no one left to buy.
>>61529464it's made messier by horizon, if institutions see aave forking and shitting itself due to infighting, why wouldn't they just pursue an alternative aave fork if aave itself can no longer be trusted. the whole timing of this is extremely retarded
>>61529530comically enough, some coins are now under their 10/10 wick. lmao.
>we hereby propose that we, a bunch of clueless chud morons that bought AAVE tokens on Coinbase, are hereby entitled to 100% of Aave Labs assets, social media accounts, as well as their daughters and wives>IF THIS PROPOSAL FAILS AAVE IS OFFICIALLY DEAD!!!
>>61524535Governance tokens were a mistake
crypto is so fucking gay. i will never forgive myself for not getting rich off this shit in the last 8 years
>>61524535If you have your aave token in cefi you don't deserve a vote
