/biz seems to have some gay psyopp about muh union tradies being lazy crippled loosers. Let’s drop some facts from my union tradie job>44 an hour. Overtime after 8 hours every day. Quad pay starting on the 3rd calander day of the week if I work more than 9.5 hours 2 days >5 weeks paid vacation >8 personal days >free health insurance minus 5 bucks for meds, or 20 doc visit copay >pension that I will get when I turn 55, current rate is around 4500 a month, this amount raises every contract >unironically make an extra 5-15k a year in grevience money for supervisors working or other contract violations >just hit 40, and im in the best shape of my life, due to the many miles I walk a day to peoples front doors >full head of hair, same hairline I had at 16 + no depression and a proper immune system, all thanks to vitamin d via uv rays. Picrel is my check for thanksgiving week. 16 hours holiday pay + some double pay. I have overtime whore coworkers who make 140k a year…. I take a lot of free days off and will end up around 110/115kAlso, in before seething euro poors make some excuses
>>61523158Courier services aren't a trade. They're service industry.
>>61523158How many packages a day you guys deliver? Particular a rural / suburban mix if you've worked those kind of routes. I'm at USPS and always been curious.
I thought the DOT restricted truck drivers to 60 hours.
Also you know for a fact that it's not feasible for randos to do this. You gotta be a preload bitch for 9-12 years before the union gives you a chance to be a driver. And tons of n-words delivering packages at the speed of uhhhhhhhh to get paid more fucking up the entire process.
>>61523158i just started a job with national postal service in my country, which has a big union of course. Don't really have opinion either way.. but it better be worth the dues. getting paid 16.96 usd an hour.... new deal is supposed to come through soon after 2 years of strikes and bargaining
>>61523158What is the most frequent contract violation? Also you AVG 35/hr even with all that monster OT.
>>61523158Not my problem
>>61523158Wtf is UPS still hiring bro?
>>61523275>have to work 2-8 years part time as a warehouse “apprentice” part time >unionVery similar >>61523300I have a pure resi route in one of the wealthiest zip codes in America. I do about 130 stops and 180 packages. Some routes are more dense and those go out with 180 stops, some are commercial with high package counts. Ie 70 stops 350 packages + pickups >>61523322Dot is 70 hours. Ups is 60 unless they want to change it during peak. My local hasn’t. I got 16 hours vacation time that week + double pay on black Friday and I went in Saturday too >>61523328Muh I gotta work hard for a few years!!!!! Ughhhhhhh. You sound like a pussy. A lot of guys because drivers in less than a year during Covid. I was cover driving after 3 years, and got a full time spot in 8, but 2008 recession fucked me
>>615233599.5 excessive overtime, and if they want to be dicks to me I start hitting them with supervisor working grievances>>61523425Hiring like crazy for peak, and firing like crazy in a couple weeks. Although most will get called back if they want.
>>61523359The way they calculate holiday pay is wonky in payroll. Black Friday I was essentially getting triple pay or 132 dollars and hour. This was my pay for this week. I went in Saturday for some extra ot. Totally optional to work 6 days in my local. I have enough seniority that I can basically work a couple days a week (they offer free unpaid days off in seniority order when staffing allows) , or 6 days and if I wanna stack some guacccc
>>61523911>Very similarit's not similar because your position is company specific. if you were a plumber your skills would be transferable across companies. that's the value of trades or skill based professions. not trying to shit on you, you seem like you're having a good time and I myself and but a mere mailman (likely filtered out of 4chan for good on the next captcha IQ filter tightening)
>>61523971Most package car drivers eventually move to feeders towards the end of their career. Is a class a cdl a trade?
>>61524004A class a CDL is an asset, not a trade. It would more similar to a credential, like a degree or certificate of some kind.
>>61524054I don’t disagree with you for the most part, but you’re being a technical nigger. I don’t have proper schooling, or certifications when it comes to auto repair, yet I build engines and tune said cars via stand alone engine managment systems. If I stop working at ups, and do some car stuff instead…. I’m a tradie mechanic. ASE can kick rocks Most traddies are just niggers who have certifications…. You know… Like a degree/ credential.
Drivers are only happy when their checks drop they all look fucking miserable mon through thu. How does it feel to put your body through as much wear and tear as a pro athlete and only earning 1 1000th without the worship?
>>61524076Ywnbat
>>61523158Can’t get comfy delivery job in Canada. Literally 100% of them are jeets
>>61524160>walking to front doors carrying packages is massive wear and tear to body You must be a completely pathetic weak piece of shit
>>61524160Hell fatfuckYou know for hundreds of thousands of years, humans walked long distances every day. We evolved to do so and it’s necessary for proper health. Walking is the best thing for you besides the sun/vitamin d/healthy diet I don’t eat goy slop so I don’t have joint inflammation. How much if a fat fuck who has to deal with hr roasties all day are you? The majority of my work is walking down somebody’s driveway with 5/10lb boxes full of clothes or Chinese consoom goods. If I feel something is too heavy or I feel lazy that day, I get out my hand truck. I’m 40 years old, 6’0, 175lb. I have abs, and I’m fit af. Nobody believes in as old as I am. I have some co workers in their 60s who have followed the methods/worked safely, and still play sports, go innawoods hiking for week ect ectStay inside, stay seated, keep piling on that estrogen layer muffin top. Your the one who is aging like cte infested nfl nigger.
>>61523158>bragging about working 90 hour weeks at age 40legit depressing, what a miserable lifeyou have maybe another 10 years before you start hitting actual old age and your body starts falling apartyour last decade of enjoyable life and you're spending the entire time workingand for what? a little extra money?worksleepworksleepno time for actually living your life, no time to even get enough sleep when you're working 17 hour dayswasting what little remains of your prime just for a little extra money in your accountwhat a miserable life, no wonder you need to make threads like this to cope
>>61524211I can work 2/3 days a week if I want. Shit a couple years ago when I hit a few big crypto lics, I was working 1/2 days a week. Imagine trying to find fault in somebody making some extra money for the holidays. You must be a europoor doctor who makes 60k a year. Sorry the ups Chad makes you seethe….. also don’t forget, your lady flirts with us weather she is a stay at home trad wife, or a hr roastie.
>>61523158what colour is your skin?
>>61524211I was confused because I though it was 92 hours over 2 weeks. But as you pointed out he's working 6 days a week on top of that. A rich tycoon during the industrial revolution would be shedding a tear that atleast in 2025, CEOs can still retain that kind of work ethic. My question is why would a peon willingly work that much knowing that it's not a permanent solution.
>>61524239Olive like Jesus. My grandpa was German kreigsmarine for uncle adolf, and my grandma is ethnic German…my other side is Dominican Republic settler Spaniards with some native tiano blood.
>>61524233Just know that you won't find a stable relationship when 6 days a week you're spending 16 hours delivering boxes. And during those 16 hours she will get bored being alone and want something new.Women just be like that and if you're okay with it god speed lonely money stack.
>>61524249I average 43 hours during the year if I work 5 days. Ups is throwing money at us this time of year. I will go ahead and take it…. Come early Jan I will be back on the excessive overtime list>quad pay after 9.5 hours per day for more than 2 days a week. So they are sure I’m off the clock every day in 8/8.5 hours. Teamsters mein neigar, fuck Carol tome. Also idk wtf you’re talking about “Not a permanent solution”. I have a comfy 4 bed 2 bath house, multiple cars, money to do what I want, money to invest in crypto, and at 55 I’ll be kicking it waiting for my pension check to come in ever month….. if I don’t take an early retirement that is. I been there 23 years. COMFY AF
>>61524257Been married to my lady since 09. We good senpai. Appreciate your concern >but >but>butYou wasn’t cut out for this type of work anyways and that’s fine. I am, and I like my job. I couldn’t imagine having a white color office job.
>>61524272Don't worry i make 28 an hour working from home for around 35 hours a week. If i change up and move to a higher position they typically fill in at 35 to 45 an hour but I just dont wanna spend the two weeks to freshen up my skillset. But enjoy making 35 once you cross overtime. And be glad you're not delivering to my house where I typically order dumb bell sets and return them on amazon to fuck with carrier niggers like you. I might travel to ibiza and work from there for a month or two, who truly knows. If i did do that then my all inclusive company provided gym wouldnt be a minute walk from my house since i live so close but choose not to work at the office.
Bezos meme told me it’s time for beg so I can go cuck tomorrow. God speed to you anons, even the seething negative office waggles.
>>61524290NIGGER I MAKE 44 an hourHoly shit this place has gotten retarded af the last few years.
>>61524294Sorry i just had to clock out and walk two steps to lay in my bed, the commute from work to home is brutal for me. How long is your commute carrier nigger? 30 minutes to an hour one way?
>>6152430610-13 minutes banging gears in my c7 z06 on backroads. U should get some fresh air and touch grass.
>>61524302>I MAKE GOOD MONEY!!! (If i cross overtime)
>>61524302how does your base pay equate to 44 an hour when 3238 divided by 92 is 35?
>>61524325The holiday pay/6th punch does not get calculated until the day payroll closes. Here is a cap from my actual pay stub. And you guys are correct, I’m wrong about my hourly rate…. It’s actually 45.76hr. I stopped keeping up… sorry anons
This is my paystub for the original image in the first post. And yes I’m dca inf more into link. I’m low iq
>>61524349so then you have to first propose your base pay before time and a half and then double time processes after you hit the 12 hour mark which is what's shown in the first image. If you're averaging 43 hours a week during normal hours while also keeping up above 30 dollars an hour it's hard to argue that's a bad payscale at that rate.
>>61524356that's pretty impressive ngl. You weren't kidding about your base salary being 45 at all. From the 23 years you've been doing this job, how long did it actually take to go from warehouse package handler to now?
>>61523158not a tradie, and its sad you tried to call yourself one...if you actually were you wouldn't claim it
>>61524194You sound like a retarded congo nigger.Your knees are already fucking gone. Im 45 and will dunk on you.
>16 posts coping about being a delivery boy at 40
>>61524649yeah bro. OP you havent said ONE negative thing about your job this entire threat and ive seen delivery drivers post here before saying they had to go hospital or get rabies shot because their leg gets bitten by a dog so often. you are full of shit and coping hard with your faggot paper boy life
>>61523158....How in the fuck did you work 17...technically 18 hours in a day? What the actual shit. Are you ok? You only gave yourself one day off that week too.I used to be a Correctional Officer working 12 hour shifts and I could only manage doing one day off by falling asleep on the job when the supervisors werent looking. You may wanna see a doctor dude your job is bullshit.
>>61523911>Very similarIt's not at all man, sorry. A courier driver is a service position, in terms of skills it's equivalent to a barista.
>>61524004>Is a class a cdl a trade?No.
>>61524076>If I stop working at ups, and do some car stuff instead…. I’m a tradie mechanic. No, not legally or practically.
A lot of seething fat fucks itt… chin up OP, dont let them bring you down and thanks for the insight
>>61524891>legally or practically The best car guys I know…. I’m talking about fabricators, and guys who dyno tune cars make huge money, and they have 0 actually schooling or (((certifications))). Nobody gives a fuck about certs when you have a guy who can drop dime welds via a mig welder and and fab up a roll cage, or intercooler/exhaust piping. You fell for the (((get your papers))). You probably wear a Star of David as well
>>61524076>you’re being a technical nigger. No, I'm not. I was answering your question, don't get defensive. You asked point blank:>Is a class a cdl a trade? And obviously it's not, it's an object, not a 'trade'..The point still stands - it's not as robust as a real skilled trade work. That's a tradeoff you accept by working there and investing the time.
>>61523937>>61524356Don’t poast here much anymore but I will sign in to say this: you have nice income. That’s awesome, congratulations man. Really. With this much income you can quality for a mortgage for any single family home $300k+. Your monthly payment, depending on the down payment, will be around $1500. Rent that shit for $2500 a month. Don’t believe it? Yeah I don’t believe I either anymore. What people pay to rent these days is insane. Then when it’s rented you go back to the bank and say look I have the same income but now with +$1000 cash flow every month. Boom. Qualify for a $325k loan. Buy another house and repeat. Scale this to ten homes and you just retired in five years. Point is: income is great. Leveraging income into more income is priceless.
>>61525817Fair enough and like I said, I don’t disagree……. What do you do for a living anon? >>61525864My wife and I had 2 rental properties we liquidated over the last few years. I’m not cut out to be a slum lord even with a property management company. For example…. AC breaks at my homestead, I diagnose it my self, and take apart the outside unit and replace the fan motor. Part took 3 days to come in, and a bit of labor for me. Cost = 125 dollars. If I had to pay a tradie it probably would have been 1k or so + tip if I wanted them to get there asap. When you have multiple properties and shit goes wrong, your time becomes a concern. Im pretty good at fixing all kinds of shit, and it really bothers me to have to pay a tradie stupid money for some shit I can do, but don’t have the time to do it immediatly, and at my own pace like I can do at my main house I reside in. Real estate is one of the few ways to actually get massive leverage and create an empire….. but it’s not for me. 12k or so per house in passive income best case scenario assuming no repairs for that year, isn’t worth it to me. I like to keep my life as basic and stress free as possible, with as much of my personal time as possible to enjoy hobbies and life in general.
>>61523158>become permanently physically disabled by 50 if you're extremely lucky, 40 on averagecool broimma enjoy poverty forever over becoming crippled thank you very much

>>61528882im gonna make it, im just sad right now is all. my property and equipment was stolen and destroyed, even money ACH'd out of my bank by a very evil person. I was on the brink of massive success and instead lost everything, extorted into nothing, police wouldn't do anything, partners left over time and now I find myself in a huge hole with tons of debt. I thought I had a good career and business lined up for myself at one point. 2025 pushed my shit inOn year two of my last company I had forecasted revenue of $250-300k, which I thought was amazing being a senior in college student at the time.. my only way out is to make a much bigger and much more successful company. I know I can do it, because I have a good plan, a good brand, good (relatively unique) product with a high TAM and good distribution lined up, and greater business maturity. I just have no money and shit credit but can work around that. meanwhile, I'm just ignoring my debt, better to focus on making $1M ARR first and pay off debt after, imo.
>>61528971>my property and equipment was stolen and destroyed>money ACH'd out of my bank>extorted into nothingHow does this even happen ?Would love to hear a greentext of your journey lad.I've been working on creating my own business with a focus on high quality products sourced from my motherland so at least I support my nation in some form over jeets and bugs Any insights/resources are appreciated
>>61529049it's too late in the evening for me to put the energy into rehashing it, maybe tomorrow morning. the only generalized advice I can give is to beware of emergent risk (things going wrong simultaneously creates new previously unseen risk - don't underweight the odds of this happening) and to avoid crazy people at all cost (especially landlords). get a gun and keep important docs in a safe, including copies of all important documents (eg, lease), change your locks and lock your doors etc. It wasn't business failure for me it was falling victim to criminal behavior from a psycho and being unable to recover due to extortion + being fully invested beforehand. and if you partner, even ambiguously, don't accept any slack or weirdness - aggressively get to the bottom of any obstacles or friction, it may unveil an underlying incompatibility.I also round tripped $3k-->300k-->$3k in options trading last winter (mostly a small cap that blew up and then collapsed). was up $250k in one month, was my first time really trying to trade after saving up a little bit in 2024 and having good cash flow and optimism. that didn't upset me at all but it sure was a wild year. wrote a bot afterward that paper traded $25k-->$50k inside a month doing SPY 0dte options, been rewriting for months now hoping to go live soon. if it can sustain performance like that for just six months I'll be in a good spot. I am grateful to have made the $300k because it taught me that my current depression is just the result of my internal narrative. I was happy as a clam when I had that money and my past obstacles turned into accomplishments I was proud of. I lost the money of course but the lesson was motivational.
>>61529124Appreciated.I don't do options or leverage but in 2020-2021 I put all my neetbux ($8K) into shitcoins, at peak it was about $200K and I foolishly roundtripped in typical /biz/ fashionWas banking on alt season to fund my business but Trumpf decided to absolutely rape crypto so now I'm just fugged
>>61529049And for business, I'm 100% focused on recurring revenue business models as the core. Any product or service that lends itself well to this can be a revenue factory. I'd post more but I'd be at risk of doxxing myself, but I feel like I've achieved some sort of nirvana with newfound clarity on how I think about businesses, branding, marketing, distribution, etc. Failing and being able to conceptualize a new business with a clean slate has been a blessing in a sense. In this regard I feel I've come a very long way, I was a complete scrub at business before. While these books lean more into startup-land and big money, I also found Peter Theil's Zero to One a good way to think about some aspects here (similar to Blue Ocean Strategy). It's not just about 'finding a niche' but looking for areas where you can potentially carve out new markets and/or collapse some market bifurcation into a single product/service that better addresses both segments, tapping into untapped latent demand.I've also been studying brands much more, off the top of my head Liquid Death is a fascinating example that plays into this. Canned water for bikers or something, lol wtf? But it works, there was a whole market of latent, untapped demand there just by stylizing water so a previously untapped demographic would buy it. The world of business opportunities when viewed like this is an absolute combinatorial explosion of possibilities.
>>61523158>>61524356>Every Good Boy Drinks MilkMy Father used to be a Driver for UPS worked 22 years, and he graduated in 2009. Was making $29.19. I showed him your paystub and he was impressed. Than i showed him the inflation and how it wasn't much different, just $1.85
>>61529180>>61529049One last business advice I would give is to start it how you want it's end game to be. Don't start with X, and expect to cashflow into Y eventually (target identity). There's a risk it won't happen or you'll go out of business first. e.g someone wanting to sell artisanal flour via e-comm might try cash flowing with baked good sales at local markets and next thing they know they're 'the wedding cake guy' and the scalable online business idea is starved off. This is different from being willing to pivot, pivoting is good.
