>>
>>61533351
>ASTS vs Planet Labs.
different companies, different purposes, different potentials. ASTS is direct cell to satellite comms and is working with global cell providers, except T-Mobile who signed a deal with Starlink. ASTS sats are very large, they have about 5 in orbit now, launching one tonight, the plan to launch about 5 per month next year to get their constellation up and running and generating revenue. ASTS also has government contracts and may in the future have DOD contracts for comm and or missile defense, or other activities. ASTS stock just ran up a few days ago, is still relativley cheap if their sat launch schedule is fullfilled and they should be a money maker for years to come. Watch rocket launch live tonight if it blows up the stock will be on sale tomorrow.

PL has many small sats in orbit and they take photos of the entire flat earth daily to monitor everything within their resolution capability, and they have DOD contracts and monitor shipping for the military, which is good for consistent revenue. PL stock is still cheap.

I just finished reading the new IRS rules on short terms GCs to see what I would be in for if I cash out before Jan 2. The new rules are 0% before 50k and 15% up to 500k a year so im good, now its just seeing how long I have the stomach to hold.
Just have to keep myself busy now or im going to lose my mind.

Im telling you, rotate in to PPLT and PALL and be early to the flow.
Once retail got a taste of the lack of risk they will keep looking for more PMs to go to and when silver and gold dip they will flood in.
>>
>>61533521
Ya just depends if wanna take the tax hit or defer it for a week and a bit and pay next year. I fucked myself last year because I had a lot of gains by the year end, but start of this year I had a very bad drawdown on my port. Should've at least cashed out what I owed in tax cause tax time was stressful kek, but I got that all settled and paid for now.

Wish you the best ser
>>
>>61533590
Thanks, man. Im thinking the same thing. I didnt make a lot on income because I went part time before I quit my job and moved so it will be counted as income, but not as much as It normally would be. I have some roll over losses from 2023 but I dont want to get stuck in a spiral where I need to sell a position to pay taxes that I then get taxed on next year and have to sell a position, etc.

I guess It doesnt really matter, I have learned that I sell far far to early on my calls anyway so I guess this is the universe teaching me to just chill the fuck out for a few weeks, but with no job, I am going insane finding things to do in the middle of winter. And I really want to cash out before there is a the eventual drop in PMs
Its too hot, this cant last, but retail can be retarded longer than I can be solvent.

They are both up 5% after hours today.
I keep trying to see if I can find any info anything plugging it but its all SLV because I guess GLD has run its course in the minds of retail.
PALL is the smartest call. PPLT will get burnt out quick as it hit ATH last week and will go for a bit, but PALL hasn't recovered on the 5yr so its the best longer term because they WILL come once SLV takes a dump.
Im trying to think how I can mange this much cash for the first time in my life.

Correct.
So you can heard the cats, or be a cat. Eventually you will see platinum take over the the tiles of all the fintech youtube videos you watch and then 3 months later see " palladium, the hidden gem in PMs" or you can just sit on 5k in PALL calls and wait half a year to make 100k.
You need to be the sheep dog waiting for the sheep to arrive.

>I dont want to get stuck in a spiral where I need to sell a position to pay taxes that I then get taxed on next year and have to sell a position, etc.
Ya definitely not. Last year was this first time I made serious gains, so it was a learning experience more than anything. Now I cash out gains to my bank and have them sitting in tbills till its time to pay taxes.

Tax is part of the game unless you live in a country where there is no capital gains tax or you commit tax fraud. Its something you should account for in your profit taking strategy and I barely see anyone talk about that part online.
>>
>>61533763
When silver crashes, and let's say two weeks into that, what kind of PALL call would you take? I have been planning on just sitting on PALL but I need more leverage.
>>
>>61533496
Plenty of us are space investors here. I think the question is what is their growth. Theyre a massive company already. Maybe starlink makes money but hard to say yet. ASTS, LUNR, RLKB, PL all stuff people want to take a chance on instead.

>>61533443
>>61533484
So ASTS has paying monthly customers (assuming plan works) while PL is just contracts as needed kind of thing for pictures? Definitely makes ASTS seem more of a consistent money maker imo.

I predict a pullback though, it cant keep going up non stop without some kind of short reversal

>>61533782
So investors will rotate into PALL because silver is crashing? Why PALL instead of platnum or gold? Explain like im retarded (i am)
>>
>>61533783
ASTS has been diluting on shareholders for funding and making wild promises about the number of launches they can make while consistently falling short. PL seems like more of a consistent money maker imo, ASTS is higher risk/reward. PL already has a delivered product and customers.

I guess I will see how it plays out in april, but im going to hold my positions until 2026 to make sure its a reasonable sum to uncle sam an not roll into something stupid and have to pay the bills to big daddy govt and take a loss.

>>61533782
I have 10 calls at 200. I generally just look for open interests and what I can afford at that cost for at least 5 or 10 contracts. I had 100 44c on SLV in OCT I got for 33k and god I wish I had just been in a coma until now....

>>61533793
Silver will have a local top at 100 by march and then spend the rest of the year crabbing up to 150 as it closes the slv/gld parity. screen cap this.

>>61533799
I agree on the longer date and a pull back in the next few weeks, but looking back at the gold and silver charts, I think spot will hit 3k or maybe even 4k before there is any fear in the market because retail gets uses to just number go up and not realizing that the pool is getting smaller and smaller as they seek gains.

>>61533783
>ASTS has paying monthly customers (assuming plan works) while PL is just contracts
ATT customers = ASTS customers and same with all the carriers partnering with ASTS, therefore the number of potential, and likely ASTS customers is hundreds of millions, if not a few billion, around the world. I am not that familiar with PL, I only assume they have private customers in addition to governmet customers, but I do not see how they can even come close to the potential revenue stream of ASTS.

Stalink could be a major challenger to ASTS, and Starlink recently bought specturm from Echostar, made lots of headlines, but ATT also bought specturm Echostar. The spectrum Stralink bought to compete with ASTS cannot currenlty be used by current cell handsets, Musk admitted they need to work with handset manufactures to develop new handsets to use that spectrum and they are two years away from getting those to market. Plus the current Starlink sats cannot handle the cell traffic and they need new larger sats. Current sats and spectrum are for internet. Starlink is building and launching new sats all the time, even though they have like 3,000 in orbit they cannot compete with ASTS, yet. ASTS sats and specturm work directly with current handsets and can do video calls. If ASTS can get their shit together and get 55 sats launched in 2026 its a banger. If the rocket blows tonight price will tank.
>>
>>61533812
good take thanks. thats why i had avoided ASTS for so long. Lot of promises and very little actually done.
>>61533837
>likely ASTS customers is hundreds of millions, if not a few billion, around the world
Doesnt this require way more launches to reach that kind of customer base? They cant all go through a dozen sats can they? Why wouldnt ATT just buy the entire company out then?
>55 launches in 2026
how viable is that? like if they took out a billion loan from jp morgan after a successful launch can they build out the production for that in a year? (im asking because i dont know).

ASTS needs to Lauch like 55 sats in 2026 for their constellation. Their sats are very large and designed to handle a lot of traffic.
As another anon wrote above, ASTS is behind and slowly getting way behind, their satellite construction and launching. ASTS diluted a few times to get more money to expand sat production and buy launched. Blue Origin rocket can launch 8 at a time, but BO is behind and not currently available. SpaceX rocket can launch only 3 at a time, so more money for more launches. Getting 55 sats in orbit in 2026....one can hope, we will see. Its possible though.
You avoided ASTS while its price went from $5 to $80 (down from $104). I have no idea why ATT did not buy it outright, but ATT had serious money troubles itself from the previous CEO. ATT did invest in ASTS, as did numerous others, and sign contracts for future service. Key is ASTS is partnering with cell providers not competing with them, where Starlink is going to compete directly with them.

I have a confession to make...
I only started actively investing (again) around July.
If you check the charts thats basically the exact time the market started going to complete shit.
The last time I actively invested was 2022 and I created a 2 year long bear market.
I only started buying ibit in September, the exact moment bitfuck started going to shit.
The day I bought a single UUUU call the entire mineral and energy sector collapsed.
I bought Fanny in September, the next day it dumped and still hasn't recovered.
The exact week I bought more than 2 tqqq calls it dumped 5% 2 days in a row and still hasn't recovered.
Literally the only thing I didn't buy is PMs...
I must have costed some anons here a lot of money.
I'm sorry. I really am. If I could I would kms already.
Why does god hate me so much?
I mean sure my soul is rotted and I'm a bad person, but I haven't done anything wrong? My actions only hurt myself and not others? So why am I not allowed to make it ever?
Am I really not allowed any semblance of happiness? Like to the point where this world would rather evaporation trillions of dollars so I don't make a few thousand? Really? I'm that bad??
Merry Christmas

Maybe time to have the talk about what she wants from you. Like if she expects you to support her and her extended family back in bat soup and rice land then it’s time to move on. Your gains should go to the future of your family and not be wasted on the past. Good luck bro.

>Why were US exports even so high?
Remember when countries were scrambling to lower the tariffs they'd get hit with? That seems to have worked. Automotive, computer parts, and pharmaceutical exports rose.
I think there is a possible consequence of moving manufacturing back most have not considered. On top of tariffs, overseas manufacturers are losing economy of scale, which means they need to raise prices or get hit in their margins. That in turn makes our products more competitive not just for us, but globally.

I get the image and text ready, then I open up https://time.gov/ in another window, and then press Post soon as that clock hits 09:30:00. The NIST time servers are probably what 4chan syncs with, or some other more accurate service, and the time.gov webpage uses some code to sync with those servers too and show you a more accurate time than your computer's clock. Sometimes it's off by a second or more.
>>
>IWM drilling
why?
>>
>>61535629
Which is probably why the tariffs were aimed at so many countries, friend and foe alike, and set by trade deficit. The higher the deficit, the higher the tariff. Or maybe it's just on how much they kissed Trump's behind, who knows. But poor Vietnam, 20% is rough.
Like it or not, the US tends to be the biggest customer of your average random goods. So even if you move manufacturing around, the US will probably be the biggest factor in terms of economy of scale.
>>61535633
I meant manufacturing in the generic sense of the word.
That said, producing/exporting more products and reducing workforce are not mutually exclusive. That's ultimately the promise of AI, isn't it?
