Silver appreciation relative to inflation has been lagging for some time. Even at ATHs silver remains more accessible to the average poor than gold, 1/10 of an oz for around $500 while $80 for an oz. No one is really priced out of silver, when this is said it's really telegraphing that the individual doesn't believe that silver is worth more than $50,$60, $70 and now $80 dollars. But most of us can scrape together that much money if we really tried. I recently bought some hellaciously high premium rounds for $70 total thinking yeah it would take a while to break even on these but I'm up 2-3x on most of everything else. Lo and behold everyone buying the rip should have made some money or broke even and protected their money. It's also easier to make small purchases with silver should barter ever occur, again think $450 worth of goods versus $80 or any smaller denomination in fractional junk, being possibly smaller still if buying Canadian and American. We aren't in that market yet but one day merc dime owners are going to be literal money bags, which is hard to do with gold unless you are buying cars and houses instead of food and meds.
