The internal market is vastly too small to absorb that many cars, and it is shrinking by the day. Look at the P/L statements of luxury brands that switched to selling to the Chinese consumer in China. They miscalculated because they believed the lies their Chinese liaisons told them about economic and population projections, and now they cannot move product. There are no internal Chinese consumers outside of a handful of wealthy coastals that split their time in Western nations anyway.
