Platinum and palladium make a great hedge against total collapse because all their use cases are high tech/space age alloys, their uncanny abilities as catalysts and their requirement in boomer medical devices. I use platinum as a go between when ratio trading if I want to get out of one metal but not jump into the other yet and platinum is even more undervalued against silver than silver is against gold ATM. Tldr stay in silver, gamble on platinums. They are volatile and useful for ratio trading.
