The spiritual ugliness of PM freaks is on full display right now. They bought their shiny rocks and underperformed every other asset for decades. Now that they're finally getting an itty bitty pity pump, look how their behavior changes. They should be happy and celebrating in the thread they have that is designated for precious metals. Instead they are lashing out at the rest of the board, spamming, flooding, raiding, sliding, trying to auschwitz everyone else into their own little internment camp of a thread so the metalchuds can own the rest. And that's them being HAPPY. That's them on a good day. That's how ugly they are on the inside. Imagine how mean they'll get when metals eventually meaningfully retrace. It honestly might make sense to ban discussion of PMs from /biz/, not because they aren't business and finance related but because the metal chuds have clearly shown that they have no desire to live harmoniously with the rest of us. They can go make a general on /trash/ and live there alongside the furry ai and futa threads.

Most of their hatred comes from experiencing "Bitcoin outperformed metals by 1000000x" 50+ PBTID FUD bots for 3-4 years without rest in their generals. Look at old /pmg/ threads in the archives. Every single thread had a 50+ PBTID FUD bot saying crypto is better, and rock holders are losers.

That's why they're angry at crypto holders.

Anyway those were shills and bots, so I think it's dumb to take all that anger on actual human crypto investors right now while they are down. Don't kick your fellow man while they are down. It's not nice.

Yes I agree. All this pride and gloating on the catalog leaves me bitter. This isn't how you should celebrate.

Just wish the best for everyone and move on.

The FUD bots in /pmg/ disappeared for the most part during this bull run, so rock holders are now just angrily shooting full auto into the forest with nobody around.

It quite literally does not matter what gold or silver are at. Silver could be a trillion dollars per ounce and those retards would just keep buying more. The moment you actually try and sell any amount of precious metal is when you realize just how badly you're about to be anally gaped by Schlomo.
>>
>>61540492
Dealers fuck you when you try selling during volatile markets, because businesses have paper-thin margins. They can't risk something they just bought fall 10% in price a week later. Businesses buy and sell their inventory almost instantly- they are not long-term investors or holders.

That's how it was since forever. That's just business. Once the market stabilizes and we finally see a stable price, dealers will buy (and sell) at a fair price. That's how it always was.

Anyway their buy prices are pretty good as long as you bought lower. It's not that bad.

Pmg chud here.

I don't hate crypto because I want crypto fags to suffer or as payback for endlessly trying to unload your bags of meme coin pump of the week of me.

I hate crypto because it is usury embodied. Money is meant to be the medium of exchange--to exchange something for something else of equal value. Usury, whatever form it may take, from interest rates to fiat, is the exchange of something for nothing. One side works to get their half of the bargin, the other creates their half from nothing.

The only function of crypto is to sell it for more than you paid. In better times crypto fags praised the utility of their coin, but now that crypto has dumped they don't really give a fuck about any of that. They only wanted to sell it to a bag holder fir more than they paid.

The dream of every crypto fag is to become a spiritual Jew, who does nothing for anyone else but still expects to get rich clipping the edges of everybody else's coins.

You wanted to get rich quick without working by looting the savings of workers, instead you got what you fucking deserve.

Yeah, PMfags seem really insecure. And it's funny how the mass shilling started after the pump, it was dead silence right until then. It's clear they just built up an inferiority complex and are now desperate for validation at the smallest crumb of success they can muster.

Also, they obviously are just trying to bait for exit liquidity. Nobody with triple digit IQ actually wants to buy an asset right after a 100% pump at the peak, it is some grooling retardation.

Well, but it is. None of them bought their gold at $35/oz for a 130X return. I bought my BTC at $300/BTC for a 290X return. If they'd bought gold in the same timeframe they might have gotten a 4X return at best.

"The fastest horse." Bitcoin was the fastest horse from 2009 through at least November 2021. Gold has just barely started moving over the last 3 years and silver is still underperforming gold.

On top of that, the whole problem with /pmg/ is that they demand exclusivity, shitting on "crypto" and screaming that they stack ONLY gold and/or silver. I mean, how stupid are they to ignore an entire asset class just because of irrational hatred? Throwing $300 at Bitcoin would have let them swap it for a KILOGRAM of gold just a few years later. I have all three and while I'm sad my Bitcoin has dropped by nearly a third off its ATH, I'm glad I'm making bank on my silver and gold now. Being distributed makes my retirement all that much more comfortable.
>>
>>61540470
>under performing ""assets""
290X in 11 years is hardly "under performing".

How many multiples have you made off gold and silver? Have you just gotten above water since you loaded up in 1980 or 2011? Or do you have a whole massive 16X thanks to sitting on silver since the 1990s (30+ years)? Got your 7x in on gold since buying in 2007?

No one pays for Groceries in crypto, to my knowledge no one buys homes in crypto, almost no one on earth is paid in crypto at a normal job.
They sell it to use a superior currency, fiat. Like crypto fails at being money to such an extent that it’s only used as a casino to obtain more fiat. The thing that depreciates in value more everyday.
Crypto as currency is a joke, it’s Monopoly money and now the world is putting the game back in the box.
Have fun brokie.

There will only be 21m Bitcoins in circulation, a good chunk of that has been lost and irrecoverable while fiat continues to print ad infinitum. Scarcity followed by speculation has only enhanced the increase in value of Bitcoin and on top of that you may exchange Crypto to a fiat currency in a country of your choosing since Bitcoin is traded globally and recognized as property. Keep stacking your coins if it makes you feel superior though, you're one executive order away from the government seizing your Jew gold.

>>
>>61542766
>It's backed by nothing!
The dollar is backed by people that believe the dollar will enable them to put gas in their cars, buy groceries or trade for labor but the ironic part about commodities going up is people are losing faith in the dollar and as a result you hedge against the dollar with these metals. The same principles apply in Crypto, people believe in Crypto in the same manner they believe in the dollar and eventually you will want to liquidate commodities because other people will either start taking profit or the federal reserve will start to recollect the printed money through interest rate hikes and then you wouldn't feel so smug.

Merry Christmas asshole.
>>
>>61542554
If bitcoin has coins that are in fact not accessible and this leaves bitcoin having a theoretical “value” even if everyone sold. Then bitcoin still itself doesn’t have real value inherently. This only makes it so someone buying it will buy the amount they can relative to its left over value.
If 1 bitcoin is 1 dollar then if I buy 1 dollar of bitcoin I get 1 bitcoin.
If 1 bitcoin is 100 dollars and I buy 1 dollar I get 1/100 bitcoin.
My purchasing power buying in doesn’t change whatsoever based on its inherent value. The value can change in 2 ways.
If 100 dollars inflates and is equivalent to 1 dollar of today’s purchasing power, theoretically wages are adjusted for hyperinflation inflation. Then I can now buy 1 100 dollar value bitcoin for 100(1 dollar value) dollars.

Bitcoin depends on people constantly buying in to stay valuable. in economic collapses people have to sell assets to afford real commodities. If everyone has to sell bitcoin to not die or be homeless and the dollar is fucked by hyper inflation before people get back on their feet to start gambling money on crypto speculation then bitcoin’s untouchable leftover value is greatly reduced to be insignificant in itself.

The other way bitcoins value changes purchasing power is simply greater fool theory which is its entire backbone. However post economic collapse traumatized wages will be reluctant to gamble their now significantly reduce living standard away on electric currency. So greater fool theory will be inherently weaker no matter what.
>>
>>61542846

Economic collapse is not the apocalypse and we are actually going into intentional hyperinflation (pay off debt) and a massive unemployment(Due to AI)

You cant call for the death of crypto because of one cherry picked date. Metals had way more yesrs of underperformance than crypto did.
I didnt buy metals to get rich and pay for sex with hungry homeless women, I just have it as a physical hedge.
Maybe the worldwide electrical grid will fail and I'll still have my metals, or maybe crypto will gain mainstream adoption and become the basis for the new financial system, in that case i have exposure and will profit even more.
If you havent been buying crypto you fell way behind the board since we started in 2014. Many of the anons who were here have made it many times over.
ETH was literally being shilled here for $1 when I first started browsing.

I was shilling ETH when it was $20 and guess what kind of treatment you received? The same crap we are seeing now with stubborn maximalists that thumb their nose down at you for owning a hunk of metal kek. But some did listen and actually went looking for me on other boards just to thank me because they made their first $100k. Feels good desu.

So you admit you got btfo and changed subject from price to utility now?
You wouldnt have milk if it had no value, because no one would waste resources to produce and distribute it. The only way to get it would be from milking a cow yourself.

Tell me, can you touch and hold the internet in your hands? You cant touch the internet... its all just digital 1s and 0s.. yet... it has immense value, its so valuable you pay to be able to get on it, you use it every day.
The tech companies that deal in digital 1s and 0s are coincidentally the most expensive and valued companies in the world.
Can you touch the knowledge found in books? Can you hold information in your hand? Its all intangible yet has the most value.
Just reading the right string of letters could literally change your life... yet its just nothing...

The US dollar is a 1. utterly liquid, 2. fungible, 3. virtually instant, 4. zero or near-zero transaction cost, 5. private (when paying with physical bills) medium of exchange, 6. supported by the most comprehensive and flexible payment networks that exist, and 7. with low volatility. That is the reason the dollar is valued even with no intrinsic value. Bitcoin cannot compete with USD in most of these areas.

Based oldfag. Im not hating on metals, just the shitty behavior and mindset of the idiots on team metals here. Metals are good for there purpose but theyre not the end all be all.
These fags actually think they will get rich from holding money LOL. Like how do you expect to GAIN wealth from static wealth. That is why its not an investment.
Gold has the same purchasing power now than it did in roman times. You can hold it for 1000 years and you will never get "richer" from it, it also won't lose your wealth either and thats the entire point.
You'll be just as poor now at $70 silver than you will be at $1000 silver, you just won't be as poor as the normies with just fiat.
If silver is $1000, the price of everything else will be high too.
The price of every tangible good is basically up only on a long term chart, thats just what happens with inflation.
>>
>>61543015
>Can be seized and stolen at literal roadside police stops, let alone your bank freezing funds
and good luck trying to withdraw $10k from your bank for example, the bank will simply tell you they do not have your money and they really don't kek.
>>

Gold is a store of wealth,
Silver is both store of wealth, industrial material and in a deficit.
Post your stack and portfolio or be known as a lying as brown skin you project yourself to be.
>>
>>61543021
Silver is up 100% of the year yet the price of other goods is not. Hm curious. It’s almost like there are mountains of fiat dollars funneling into anything that isn’t fake and gay.
>>
>>61543015
>No supply cap, government will devalue your dollar by double digit amounts
That doesn't matter at all, I don't use USD as a store for long-term value, only as a medium of exchange (as everyone should).
>Can be seized and stolen at literal roadside police stops, let alone your bank freezing funds
First of all, the guy that happened to got his money back. Can you come up with a better example?
Secondly, do you have any physical possessions whatsoever that are worth something? Maybe you should get rid of them so they don't seized by a cop on the highway.
>>
>>61543043
>First of all, the guy that happened to got his money back.
No, he didn't get all his money back he only got some of his money after the PD received a commission for seizing it and they won't let go apparently the case was still ongoing at the time of the video being released.
>>
>>61543052
I'm not very worried about something that happened one (1) time. That means I have a 1 in 400 million probability of that happening ( and that's IF for some unknown reason I was carrying all my assets as cash, in my car). I have a better chance of winning the Powerball lottery than of encountering this specific situation you are imagining. You really need to do a better job thinking about costs and benefits, in general, if you are seriously suggesting this is something I should be basing my finances around.
>>
>>61543065
I say again, try traveling and moving lump sums of money around without being screened and scrutinized. You will be detained and be asked questions like receipts for proof of ownership and all it'll take is some probably cause of "illicit tender" and you can kiss those gold doubloons that you must declare goodbye otherwise it will be seized at customs as opposed to traveling with a simple book with your seed phrases written on a random page.
>>
>>61543092
The notion of moving abroad while transporting a large amount of cash or gold isn't something I'm planning for in the slightest. Why would I need to do that - genuinely curious. What scenario are you imagining where I might want to abandon the US and go anywhere else?

Because boomer rocks are simultaneously completely worthless and at the same time of such value so fundamental to the entire world financial system that they can never go up in price because even a five dollar increase from here would end the world.

I remember when crypto fags told me that a monetary asset like bitcoin going up in price is a buy signal. That means it is gaining widespread adoption and you should go all in before its too late when your job starts paying you in crypto and grocery stores only accept crypto.

But now we're being told the world's central banks going all in on PMs is the ultimate sell signal. Something doesn't add up.

@grok
after Gold and Silver topped in 2020 tell me what happened to Bitcoin, Crypto, S&P500, Russell 2000 and the NASDAQ afterwards?

@grok
After gold (~$2075/oz) and silver (~$29/oz) peaked in August 2020, here's what followed:

- Bitcoin: Surged from ~$11.5K to $29K by year-end (+150%), then to $69K peak in 2021; volatile but up ~500% by 2025.
- Crypto market: Cap grew from ~$390B to over $2T by 2021; major bull run, then cycles.
- S&P 500: Rose from ~3,500 to 3,756 by Dec 2020 (+7%), up 27% in 2021; net +100% by 2025.
- Russell 2000: +18% in Nov 2020 alone; peaked 2021, volatile but +50% net by 2025.
- NASDAQ: +11% in Aug 2020, +40% YTD; continued tech rally, +150% net by 2025.

Would you say the financial system is running "good enough" now? I don't think so and I would say most people agree to some extent. That wasn't the case back then. So situations change. What was a bad investment then can be a good investment now. Don't be so rigid.
