>get a student loan>bank expects you to pay back 3x>can't find job in the industry>force to work flipping burgers>student debt crisis at 1.7THow the fuck do we solve this?
>>61543937Forgiving student loans would be a massive benefit to the economy, people would have more disposable income they could invest. Everyone should support student loan forgiveness regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum.
Keep those brokies BROKE!
>>61543937I’m against the tax payer footing the bill on people’s retarded fake and gay degrees. But I am in total support of gutting these banks charging these high interest rates and making borrowing money incredibly easy for the masses of retards that compose the general population This dumb negro was allowed to take out a 40k loan with a high 13.5% interest rate over 100 months. She should have been denied immediately and told to wage until she could pay it off in a few years herself.
>>61543943Or, better yet.Force them to pay back their debt at higher rates and all the money generated from it goes to people, in the form of a dividend, without student debt :)It gives people more disposable income to stimulate the economy but keeps the money generator intact :)
>>61543943I only support student loan forgiveness if it tanks the value of a college degree in the job market
>>61543943No goy how dare you suggest giving money to Americans when we could give it to Ukraine and Israel instead
>>61543943How about just eliminate the interest?
>>61543943im not paying for your fucking school. pay your debt
>>61543975good idea
>>6154393713% is usury and has been illegal for most of human history. This is a separate issue from college degrees being a fraudulent pyramid scheme propped up by Jewish lobbyists and cult members
>>61543937Just pay the damn loan.
Only women have this problem
The interest only hurts if you only make the minimum payment. The $110k+ figure BonQuiQui is looking at only happens if you never pay above the minimum. She needs a ~$50k salary to delete the debt in ~18 months. $40k/18=$2,222 per month2,222*12= $26,700 per year$26,700*2= $53,400 salaryThat way, half her salary is indeed going towards deleting the debt and clearing it faster. Yes it will be tight, but a college degree can easily get AT LEAST a $50k or $60k salary to start. It's easiest for her to hunker down for up to two years to get rid of this. Afterwards, she'll have tons of money to use and save.
>>61543937I voted for this
Gutting high interest rates? Banning usury? Cool it with the anti-Semitism there bud.
Start college at 18. Finish by 22. Rack up $40k of debt. Pay it in 18 months, debt free around age 24. If she does that, she'll then have between $1k-$2k per month to invest depending how aggressive she wants to be. Let's give her 20 years of this. Plug numbers into a compound interest calculator.Max aggression, average 10% returns, she can have $1.3 million by age 55. Draw 4% of that every year and you get ~$53k tax-free doing no work. Do the math. Don't do debt in the first place, but don't think you're fucked if you do.
That $100k number on the paper is a 'minimum payment' trap. It only happens if she plays by the bank's rules.More math: At 13% interest, the debt costs about $430/month just to sit there. If she lands a $55k - $60k job and keeps living like a student for 18 - 24 months, she can clear it with ~$2,400 monthly payments. She'd be debt-free by 24 and save herself $60,000 in interest. It'll suck, but math is 100% on her side if she's aggressive. BonQuiQui is not totally fucked, she just needs to not be a stereotype. Also fuck the jews/colleges and their usury.
>>61543943>Destroying 1.7T would totally be a massive benefit to the economy guiseHaha you aren't fooling anybody chud. It would be a massive benefit to you and your deadbeat ilk. It would be catastrophic to the economy for the rest of us. You took out the loan. You will pay it back.
>>61543937>How the fuck do we solve this?We do not. We accept defeat and end guaranteed federal student loans.Let these people fail and shine a light on it. Let prospective students and their parents see how many degrees are frivolous and have no value in the marketplace. Let universities see how much of their administrative costs are luxuries they cannot afford. Most importantly, we need to understand this is not the fault of the students alone. It is collectively all of our fault. The pain will be harsh in the immediate, but we must suffer it so that we are better off in the long run. We can no longer abide the three-pronged problem of guaranteed loans - it creates a generation in debt, who in turn becomes a generation of welfare dependents, and it sucks man/brain power from professions we do need.
>can't find job in the industry>don't get a student loan>become a NEETsimple as
>>61544010If you eliminate the interest, there would be no liquidity for the loan in the first place.
>>61543937There's nothing to solve. The system is working as intended. Stop questioning it, goyim
>>61543937>How the fuck do we solve this?easy peasy, make student debt disappear in bankruptcythere is no reason to protect the usurers from the consequences of their own actions, they should have applied better lending standards
honestly it makes me laugh knowing burgers are charged interest on their student loansmy loan balance was 30k ten years ago, after ten years NEETing it up the balance is still 30k and soon 30k will be fucking nothing
>>61544354wrong lol, the govt prints infinite money as gibs alreadyjust remove interest and cap the amount universities can charge. and then make it illegal to enroll anyone based on anything other than test scores.
>>61543943So would giving equivalent in forgiven debt to all the people that never took loans. Same damage, it just doesn't go to retards and would be more likely to be invested.
>>61543937Make student loans illegal
>>61543937-Remove the federal government from the loan process entirely.-Require universities publicly disclose the current unemployment rate for each degree they offer (both the general employment rate and the degree-industry rate to show how many people got jobs from their degree vs being iced out and working in something unrelated)-Allow people to discharge student loans with bankruptcy (though the 1st point already).>>61543943Student loans shouldn't be forgiven because that's just a tax on the lower class to subsidize the middle class getting a professional edge over them, but they *should* be bankruptable. The universities should be the ones that eat the cost for reckless loan-giving, nobody else.Oh and importantly, repeal the Civil Rights Act (or at least disparate impact which I t hink did get recently overturned). The entire reason every job requires a college degree is because pre-employment aptitude tests were made illegal because blacks kept doing poorly on them and IQ tests and math/reading tests were labeled discriminatory. The legal workaround for this was to outsource a competency test to educational qualifications.
>>61543937My unironic answer to this. First is realize we have 2 groups of people that need to be addressedFirst is the people that got fuckedSecond is the people who will get fucked.first and foremost.I would stop all interest rates on current existing student loans. A lot of that shit was turbo predatory and many of these kids had NO fucking idea what they were doing. Minor sudent loan forgiveness. I would then also make it so, if you owe anything more then say 50k, every thing over 50k is just written off, and you pay the taxes on the write off, and then you just need to pay everything left, again no interest rates anymore. For the people who are still going through college, cut federal student loans just no more of them, thats what broke the fucking bank here was federal student loans. At which point the fucking problem solves itself, people who should go to college will get private loans from investors, people who are not cut out for it, wont. I would even go so far as to say that the government would be able to offer 1 free year of college to every US citizen so that they can figure out if college is really for them or not, and then generate a report on what field they would like to go into and present that to investors and loan agencies to see if they want to be invested in and have a loan taken out with a private company.
>>61547239Oh and also end H1B entirely, that'll open up over a million jobs with an average salary of like 90k instantly. The excuse that "we don't have trained people" is getting old when millions of apparently-trained people are iced out of their industries. Companies need to either pick and train Americans EXCLUSIVELY or not be welcome to do business in America. The income threshold for H1B should start at like $600k dollars per year salary since that's what the actual best-in-fields will charge. 90% of all H1B requests in tech are for entry level jobs to avoid hiring people out of college.
