Honestly, I don't mind having blackrock and blackstone and these megacorps as my landlord. Only the broke ass landlords are the annoying ones that don't fix shit. Blackstone would rather not deal with the shit PR and will fix what you need within 48 hours without giving you an attitude

The shitty landlords are white collar guys that think rental income is passive and don't have cash on hand to cover emergencies and won't pay property management companies to deal with the headaches. It's honestly not "a lot" of work, but the work kind of comes all at once. Like I work 60 hour weeks in the summertime and if someone moves out, I basically lose an entire weekend getting the place clean for the next tenant. It's a pain in the ass, but now my kids are older so the whole family goes and helps out for root beer floats and cotton candy and shit lol.
