I wasn’t really that involved this crypto cycle. Made some decent gains in 2017 and 2021. Was this a shitty cycle where 10xing your investment was way less common than the other runs? Seems like most coins reached nowhere near their ATH despite record-high volumes.

Bitcoin is almost 20 years old now, if you weren't there in the beginning it's just too late. Cryptos only redeeming quality is it's finite supply, just think about all the lost digital wallets and people who will die with stacked wallets that'll end up in a digital spam folder somewhere. The only real use case for crypto is black market shit and money laundering. I imagine the federal govt is sitting on a fat stack of seized currencies and they'll do a slow rug pull on millennials once the deficit gets too big to ignore. Gamble at your own peril because everyone's gonna try and sell at the same time.
