Honestly polymarket isn't a scam but it could be alot better. There are multiple ways to wash trade risk free as a market maker and smaller positions will get rekt due to collapsed liquidity. Its not like a shitcoin where you buy 100 usd worth of $coin and theres an amm pool with tangible liquidity. Its all off chain and then settled on chain. Its basically a centralized scam and while they have interesting political niche carved out the product itself is pretty mediocre. Why would I want to start my bet 90% down? Only a retard who doesnt know how bad their fees are would.
Also the fact that I lose 90% of my bet until its resolved, and they have millions and millions for advertising, shows you exactly how the product works. They just rip 90% from the get go, and spam ads calling themselves a new paradigm. Top traders on the platform make less than 100k a week. Theres nothing close to real volume. The worst part is they claim decentralization, and then handle everything with custodial wallets.
