This is specifically with regards to the CEO of GameStop. Ryan Cohen. It is widely known that he holds his millions of shares in a Margin Account with Charles Schwab. Now what he is doing with those shares is not.

He could be earning interest on those shares being lent. Or making derivative plays. Could be using them as collateral for other investing maneuvers.

Although he famously bought the shares with his own money and is not compensated with shares. Is there not a moral obligation to his loyal shareholders to have these shares recalled and directly registered with the transfer agent?

I'm wondering what's the standard procedure of other CEO's. Is Elon Musk holding his shares in Margin accounts?
