Wtf is gonna happen if i send tc eth to an exchange to sell it?
>>61561010Bot
>>61561010instead of using tornado cash, use railgun. on the off chance the exchange challenges your fund origin you can show a "proof of innocence" generated by railway wallet.
>>61561025I just shit my pants
>>61561096also the backend is totally different. for railgun you never lose control of the funds, unlike tornado cash. railgun was operating even in Gary Gensler era and even he didn't sue them along side tornado cash. privacy is your right, but tornado cash isn't the way to get it, it just pokes the bear.
>>61561167Ok. So it obfuscates the source of funds just like tc? How will that be different than tc except it hasn't been on the ofac list and related to a high profile prosecution of devs?
>>61561167>also the backend is totally different.I would disagree, they're both the same in principle. They also use merkle trees and unspent balances. Railgun is better because it allows flexibility in both the deposit and spend while preserving anonymity, because the quantities themselves are checked by the proof. Something the tornado devs didn't implement for whatever reason
>>61561265yes both obfuscate origin of funds. the difference is tornado cash is set up similar to a CEX where you send them the funds and they send you back an equivalent amount of funds rather than generating a zero knowledge proof yourself through railway wallet.
