>>61565371a man of taste. sirius is a shit company that never understood O&A or R&F. the sirius studio didn't have bleachers for fans and executives and celebrities were everywhere so they had to behave like office workers instead of radio personalities. sirius thought it wasn't worth paying east side dave a few more bucks for some of the funniest shit ever broadcast on satellite. both shows suffered and died under the sirius regime. they would talk about how management wasn't even listening to the show or looking at numbers. far cry from the days of don wicky wickland and erik logan who were intimately involved with the shows. in conclusion: sirius is shit.
>>61565427Oh Sirius is the best example of a shitty uncreative company, at one point in time Sirius had Joe Rogan, Bill Burr and Patrice O'Neal all begging to do shows for Sirius but Sirius didn't even want to pay them some peanuts to it and later all those guys went on to be some of the biggest podcasters'. XM radio kicked ass but as soon as Sirius took them over it started going to shit. We could probably fill this thread up with how shitty of a company Sirius really is, they made wrong decision after wrong decision year after year just an absolute shit company that would turn Gold to shit.

>>61565502agreed, except if I recall correctly when patrice talked about his negotiating strategy on O&A and how much money he was asking for it kind of made sense they declined lol. but that was classic patrice. people shit on opie but he predicted everything that happened after the merger and how it would strangle the shows. even ron didn't believe him at the time but it turned true. XM was so much more fun in comparison, even if it wasn't as wild as earlier terrestrial radio days where the hosts and staff were all drunk/high.
