Out of nowhere your parents give you a check for $10,000 as a Christmas gift. What would you do right now to turn that $10,000 into significantly more money over the course of the next few years?
>>
>>61566377
I couple hundred kneepads so I can be comfy working the next few years
>>
1. any high interest debt
2. fully load 9 month emergency fund
3. food, water, guns, ammo for the coming collapse

Now you have a bunch of options but they're all bad. stonks ATH, RE also ATH, gold and silver ATH. i dont think the btc drop is over but given the other options I wouldn't discount that.

All in silver and xrp

Stay in cash for now. Cash is king. Buy safe big stocks (crypto is dead) at bottom
>>
>>61566395
>prepare for the coming collapse, but also make sure to pay off any debts
huh?
>>
No shade to your parents since I don't know their financial situation, but that amount is really just emergency fund to keep you out of debt like "oh my car broke down, but I can afford a reliable used one instead of taking on a loan" rather than investment money. The stock market will probably have a big correction in the next year or two, not a lot of compound growth to miss out on at 10k. You don't have any other money saved aside from their gift?

>>61566458
I have approximately $20k saved outside of this.

I would park 30k cash in a high yield savings account for now, then see what happens if trump's appointee kills interest rates in 2026.

>>61566377
I would use it as margin collateral 1:10 and go 100x long on fartcoin.

10k into TSLL (sacrifice). 10k Margin into CRF with DRIP at NAV. 10k out of a personal loan thrown into TSLL to increase Margin payoff speed.

Silver really was the last thing that was still cheap. Can't think of anything that's cheap right now so going for fundamentals like you said is a good idea. Monero is still undervalued IMO even though it's getting close to ATHs, that's still good value.
>>
>>61566377
This actually happened to me in 2022. $10k each to me and my brother. I was afraid to put it in the market until about two weeks ago. I lost most of the buying power holding that cash for 3 years, but the cryptos i'm buying are at all time lows and should recover by 2030.

All debts gone? Invest in your human capital first. If you don't have a car and license, get those. If there's some qualification that can get you a higher paying job, get that. If there are no investments like that, think about assets you want to invest in. Do you already have an investment portfolio you think is propped up enough? Feel free to gamble, otherwise first make sure you got some part of it in your bank so you can easily access it in times of need, otherwise invest more modestly so you still got low volatility.
In any case: It always pays to improve the lives of the people around you with your money. Get some fresh fruit so you can make them some jam. Give them some thoughtful gifts that might be more expensive. Start a kid portfolio for your young cousin etc.

I have about 13k in student debt spread out across 2 loans with 4-6% interest.
I have a car and a liscense.
I should bake more for my parents, that’s a good idea.
>>
>>61566377
>Turn 10k into significantly more money
Lol, I'd be happy if I can retain the value, all this system is a fucking scam that forces you to "invest" and give your money to bankers so they can give loans with high interest to other poorfaggots. I refuse to participate in such a corrupt system
>>
>>61566674
>I have about 13k in student debt spread out across 2 loans with 4-6% interest.
Unless you'll get punished for it, it'd make most sense to pay off your debts with it unless there's some really good qualification you could get. Gambling it away in some speculative markets will only worsen your life.
>>
>>61566377
Step 1 is to pay your taxes. Step 2 is to invest the remaining ~$5000 wisely
>>
>>61566377
How would I spend an unexpected tax-free $10K?

Car repair I've been putting off, medical care I'm sure I need, replacements for clothes that are worn out or no longer fit, that kind of thing.

There wouldn't be anything left for investing, in crypto or anything else.

Honestly just pick QQQ or VOO and wait. It’s not a sexy pick and won’t be the highest possible return, but over the next 10, 20, 30 years you’ll see guaranteed very good returns. You got a free chunk of money, don’t squander it or take risks.

my mom got an unexpected insurance payout 10k
had to use it to stay afloat
few years before she had a further 40k, which she didn't share and spent it all on dumb shit
Today I fucking hate her and haven't talked to her in over a year

You should pay off that debt. It’s not much, but better to be clear of student loans entirely. I assume you can pay off $3k in the next 3-6 months

Alright Ramsey. I guess def the 6% one. It’s def a nice feeling to be free of debt, but when the dollar is down 10% this year and only going to accelerate, I’d leave the 4% one. Wife has a 2.5% student loan one with a much higher balance but it’d be retarded to pay it off early given the current state of things

I would charge them a late fee, since it’s after Christmas.

set up a small hog farming operation on one acre.(fencing, breeding stock, shed, cameras, maybe a small tractor)
4 sows per acre. each sow can produce 30+ piglets per year. 180 lbs of pork per hog after 7 months, $5-7/lb after butcher cost, probably $4-6 factoring in grain cost. $85-100k/yr.

Ramsey is a faggot boomer but he is right about one thing. Debt is psychological, and it hangs over your head.

By a used car in good condition and get a job or start a service based business. Poor people don't seem to realize that labor is actually one of the most valued commodities. You people want to make money every which way but working. This is deeply flawed.
Look at billionaires. They are always working. Yes they understand how to allocate funds as a resource. Much of that goes towards hiring additional labor to achieve goals which they could never do themselves.in a single lifetime. It still comes down to labor
Think of it this way. You have a million dollars to work with. You hire just three quality engineers. This might give you three years, if you are lucky, to break even and start making profit. Otherwise you are going to be pressed to seek more funding or go out of business.
As infantile as Marxist ideology may be, they did correctly identify that labor is part of a system. You might find opportunity to control access to assets which are valued and sought after by others such that you can sell to them for a great sum than your initial acquisition. That's great. Your acquisition, custodying, and provisioning is also a service requiring labor. Trading of course has long been recognized as a labor.
Think of how much you would have now of you earned just six figures over the past five years vs just holding link.
tl;dr earn wages, hire labor, continue earning wages

>>61569181
you divide the acre into four fenced in areas and rotate the hogs every few weeks, to let the grass grow again. their shed is in the center. look on youtube for rotational hog pasture or hog silvopasture.
>>
Do not start a business LMAO @ the people suggesting this.
>>
>>61566377
I hate spoiled faggots like you that get money like that from family, so you can go eat shit for all i care.
>>
>>61569261
Most people have much more earning potential from a business than from jobs they are qualified for. If you can get a six figure wagie job, you are probably going to do better with that than with a business. Otherwise, you should be able to at least double your earning potential by running a business.
>>
>>61569154
Fine, buy $10k of QQQI and use the monthly dividend to pay down the loans your spread is 8-10%. Happy?

Hell it’s probably what I’d do, but there’s no mention of risk profile, other investments, lifestyle, etc. getting rid of student loans is never a bad idea.

Did you miss a 0 somewhere? You can’t a worthwhile acre for $10k, let alone put up sheds and fencing in it. Any worthwhile tractor is also over $10k.

Post your hogs.
