Is silver a bad investment if I have to pay 25% VAT on it? I can buy gold without any VAT.
Why don't you trade the gold for silver
>>61566769>Is silver a bad investment if I have to pay 25% VAT on it?yesyou won't sell physical quickly either unless it's quality decent volume like a kg and 10% under spot which means you need 35% just to break even and we are at an ATHYou're LATEhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zikPvYGc74w
>>61566776>trade the gold for silverThis is some fudSilver is way more uses in industry than gold and also mined at a slower rateOn a long enough time lime, silver will be worth more than gold
>>61566802I'm waiting for a pullback, but i wasn't sure whether to buy silver or gold when it comes.
Who's going to default on gold first
>>61566769>>61566850Silver has a larger upside currently.Gold will avoid the VAT.Both are good.If you didn't have to deal with the VAT, I would buy silver. In your case, I think Gold is a better deal.Silver still has a couple of X to be had.Gold has run significantly already, so there are fewer gains to be had.Traditionally, these aren't investments; they are stores of value. Only in this current market, where they are wildly undervalued, are they an investment.
>>61566769i paid similiar vat when i paid 44€ for 100g bar
>>61566802
>>61567049They are both in for a rough ride as putin is broke and he has to sell a lot of the stuff which is why the ologarchs pumped the silver market like 2011.Both are danerously high and when they start going down will continue to. Physical is by far the shittest way to play as well.
>>61567151>Russia dumping huge amounts of silver caused the price to spike upwardGod I love /biz/
>>61566769Interesting, they penalize you for buying something supposedly less valuable.Perhaps it is because it is in fact MORE valuable than gold.
>>61566769>25% VAT>Gold without VATOuted yourself Hrvoje.
>>61567049>Silver still has a couple of X to be had.a couple? FUD
invest in silver if you don't want to become richinvest in other things if you want to become richthe choice is really just that simplei don't really think there's anyone on 4chan that wants to be richlittle baby socialists on this site would rather claim they are moral instead of rich, whatever that meanspeople who invest in silver are actually fucking retarded
>>61568531your strategy is going to be in the history books as the biggest financial meltdown of all time
>>61566805Atleast in America this allows one to avoid a taxable event. You buy gold and then trade relative to the GSR. But I feel that the GSR will decrease in silver's favor long term. It might bounce around in the 70-80 range for weeks or more but if I had to restart today with a VAT I'd buy a ratio of both or buy from private hands.
>>61569074>Atleast in America this allows one to avoid a taxable event.no, it doesn't. swapping gold for silver or vice versa is a taxable event just like selling for USD
