So with silver and platinum finally ripping oil is pretty much the last lagging commodity. (Silver has now more than caught up to M2 and then some, I don't think it has that much more legs to run.) And the oil/gold ratio is also at a historic all-time low right now.Anyone else investing in oil here? Obviously not buying physical but I am pretty heavy into oil stocks right now, mostly Meren Energy.Thoughts on oil for 2027 and beyond?
>>61567466Iirc the mcap of oil is around $100 Trillion and silvers mcap is around $5 Trillion. So the notion that silver has no room to run compared to oil is dubious at best. Oil demand is likely to peak sometime this century and the world will slowly ween off oil. It won't happen in nominal terms but it sure as hell will manifest in real terms.The future princes of this world will sit upon silver, not oil.
