do can I minimize my housing cost? I don't wanna get a 30 years mortgage but I have to live somewhere
>>
Why do you ask stupid questions that you can answer by yourself?

You can find roommates online.

buy small rural patch of land, install gate at base of driveway, drive up every night and sleep in car/tent there (out of sight from anyone on the main road)
Make sure to put up no trespassing signs so you can use it against game wardens when they inevitably waltz onto your property and call the state on you for illegally residing outside on your own land, also make sure there aren't any trail cams set up watching you
Do this until you have enough saved up to build a small home to code

Housing value grows slower than stock value. Just rent and put the money in S&P500.

Buy chainlink then buy your house
>>

Make sure you buy a house that increases in value. You pay the mortgage while you live in it, then sell if for much more than you paid. Then you pay off the balance with a portion of the profit and use the rest of the profit to put down on an even better place. Or you become a landlord. Many possibilities anon.
>>

why minimize? A house is where you spend more than half your life in, it should honestly be one of your biggest spends, unless you want to live a miserable life with memories of living in a van lmao.

this is what you do, my first house that I owned 5 years went up 150K, I used that 150K to qualify for a 400k house, in only 4 years that house went up by 200k, I used the combined 350k to buy a 700K house, that I would have never qualified for if I had to pay the full amount for, but because of the profits from my previous two houses it was effectively half off.

Serious answer? Buy land out in BFE, and put a manufactured home on it. Learn to to DIY as much as possible.

buy and rent (share) interior rooms, or build exterior rooms and rent that.

Go find a menopausal but not-too-old lady.
Rent a room from her.
Pay with sex.

>humiliating
You should consider it humbling and think about what you can do to better your situation financially. I have a lot of debt but live in a nice place, paying my parents $1,200 a month for the privilege of basically having most of a house to myself. I'm looking for at least one other full-time job that I can do remotely in addition to my current one to help pay everything down and save up for a down payment on my own place by early 2027. Hell I might get a third job if I can find the time. You should bust your ass a bit while you're still young so you can coast on by the rest of life that much easier. I wished I got more motivation and had more conviction years ago and maybe I could have retired by 35 like I always thought I somehow would. Treat every hardship as a learning moment.

houses have doubled in the last 5 years here. It takes 10 years on average to save for a deposit for add another 10 years since it doubled.

GenA won't have deposits till they are 45+
