>got rekt hard in crypto

>shit goes parabolic

I wish I was trolling. My life is worth nothing at this point.

Most of if was borrowed money. Not sure if that makes it worse or better. I lost money I never had anyway? By the time it's paid off it won't be worth shit anyway?

Huge cope I would have been set for life had I just held those 2 kg of gold

the universe does not like you if you held on to it it will go down, if you sell it goes up

Repeat after me "Time in the market is more important than timing the market."
Follow this and you'll at least not lose money in the long term.
>>
>>61570829
This would be true if by market you meant bitcoin or gold.

Not polkadot

polkadot used to be a top coin when I bought it. "time in the market" is what makes or breaks you indeed

>Paper handing physical gold

If you're worried about the price, you obviously invested too much.
>>
>>61570369
If it makes you feel better, I only held 1kg, which I bought in 2021 and just sold in the past weeks for ~60k profit.
Rotated into bitcoin, so I lost the real money in exchange for 1s and 0s in a computer.

>Most of if was borrowed money

Borrowing money to invest is crazy to me. Having a home mortgage is all the leverage I can mentally take.

Who lent you money?
>>
>>61571366
I lent way more money than I needed for buying my home, my master plan was to invest the extra money all in physical gold and make it on easy mode

it was the perfect plan, would have worked flawlessly, considering gold has more than doubled since

unfortunately /biz/ made me second guess myself and ruin it all

Just learn from it and do better next time bro.
Maybe split into different asset classes, for example. Some of them will perform well at a given time and some of them won't, but it's likely at least some of them will do well.
Also PMs are not an investment but more of an insurance (do not listen to PM merchant claims that a new gold standard or another ultrapump event is always just around the corner). They can move sideways for a long time.
Good luck.

Kek, at this point he'd probably be better off drinking a bear.

Yes, but what is the true learning here? Is it not second guessing yourself? I should have second guessed myself on crypto for sure.

The learning might just be to not touch anything except gold and real estate and have a 10-15 year horizon? and not overextend?

I am never ever touching risky investments again like crypto, although I still have 1 bitcoin

I really don't understand the mindset of people who buy precious metals and then sell them again relatively quickly. They are NOT for swing trading. They're for buying, putting in a box, burying near the old elm tree, and digging up in two or three decades just to move them near the oak this time.
You bought treasure? Congratulations, you have treasure. Keep it. Hoard it. Like a dragon.
