>work from home>280k per year>jiggle a mouse every 45 minutes>6 years at the same companyIs there anyone else here that feels the dread of going nowhere in life? It's definitely nice not needing to commute and only showering twice a week but i feel like life is fleeting. I get my groceries delivered for me every 2 weeks. I've taken my job to lisbon, berlin, london, and paris. I've also been contemplating switching to a physical job since then. Life has been dull without interacting with anyone since I don't leave my house most of the time. My position since covid hasn't changed and my superiors are fine with me staying at home indefinitely as long as I do a good job. I don't know though. Don't believe what everyone here says about working from home. It's not all roses if you aren't interacting with people daily.
>>61571060how the fuck are you dreading thatyou fucking faggotgive me your "job" now you little nigger
>>61571060Nomnomnom sexy boooba babe!
>>61571067You would miss the human connection like I do.
>>61571067>taking bait this obvious
>>61571060get a gf
>>61571075IT is really easy to get into but to get my position I wouldn't solely put it on skill and determination when I did receive it.
>>61571060yeahit would be significantly better if i had more regular social outings/sex, but covid had me pack on 60lbs, and im in no shape to go dating. my depression about my lack of social prospects has also destroyed my productivity, but i'm constantly surprised at how much shit im able to get away with at work. the lack of consequences is honestly disquieting. genuinely feels like everything is fake some days.
>>61571073Makes friends outside of work then dickhead.
>>61571060I bet you look like picrel
>>61571060Some valid points. I also work from home and have slipped into this a few times. Something about working from home can turn you into a hermit and you start getting everything delivered and never want to leave. With that said it's still 100% better than being in office which is a fucking nightmare.Had to start getting more intentional on building structure into my weekly routine. You have a good salary so spend some money on some weekly social stuff. Also there's a bunch of coworking companies all over now where you can rent daily office space as well. Just to get out of the house and break routine, and you'll be surrounded by others doing the same and won't have to commit to a longer lease. >>61571109>but covid had me pack on 60lbsUhhh what? Don't blame something 4 years ago bro. You need to start going to the gym 3-5 times a week. No excuses just go. Join a workout class for some extra social contact and to be surrounded by some baddies ie HITT classes. Once you're in shape you'll exude more confidence and feel better so naturally it helps dating
>>61571060I work from home and when they made everyone else RTO 2 days per week I got to stay fully remote because I got hired remotely during Covid. The problem is I can’t move out of the state, and I also can’t move to the metro area in the state because if its within an hour of the office they’ll make me come in like everyone else and there’s no going back. So I’m stuck living in the boondocks if I want to stay fully remote.
OP idk if you're larping or not but if not no, you cling to that job to the bitter end and invest as much excess as possibleRemote/wfh has gotten very intense the past few years. Highly capable workers cap out more around $120-160k now thanks to the influx of endless global foreign scabs filtering into every single remote industry and depressing incomes. What you're describing is a winning lotto ticket.
>>61571060what's the job?
You realize the great war is coming and you quit being soft and engage yourself in suffering to get ready and get closer to God.
>>61571060I'd fuck Amy Schumer.
>>61571060Jesus you literally won, wtfI hate waging so much>>61571459Just set up a vpn where you live and go on long vacations
>>61571464being gay with his dad
>>61571443>With that said it's still 100% better than being in office which is a fucking nightmare.Yeah, I don't understand people who need to go into the office for social interaction.I go in like 2 days a month and that's enough for me. I get zero work done in those two days because everyone just wants to chat about bullshit. In addition you have Karen's laughing at 300% volume, and people literally shouting on Teams calls, like bruh... they can hear you why are you talking so loud.
>>61571509>In addition you have Karen's laughing at 300% volumeThat's funny you say that. I still have PTSD from this one laugh. I sat like 50 feet away and it still hurt my ears. Even with the airpods on noise cancelling, this laugh was formidable. I'd be sitting at my desk like the Chinese water torture not knowing when the next one would come.
>>61571459I've been living outside the USA for like 4 years now and my work has no idea. You can just do things... (if they aren't checking)
>>61571443>Don't blame something 4 years ago bro.i don't. i was solely responsible for it. it happened during covid.>You need to start going to the gym 3-5 times a week. No excuses just go. Join a workout class for some extra social contact and to be surrounded by some baddies ie HITT classes. Once you're in shape you'll exude more confidence and feel better so naturally it helps datingim aware of all of this. ive reached this point before. ive been prioritizing maintaining my space through my depression though. i bought a house (attached, not SFH), and have only just recently came out from the swamp after i quit drinking a month ago. im getting some powerblocks this weekend. already got a bench. it's a slow process, and my social issues still aren't resolved, but keeping in touch with old college friends has unironically kept me from killing myself, so there's that.
>>61571507He has got to be larping. That number is way too high for anything I could imagine he would be doing jiggling a mouse?
>>61571509>people literally shouting on Teams calls, like bruh... they can hear you why are you talking so loud.A mix of letting everyone know they are present, stupidity, and passive aggressiveness I think, I can't prove it of course
>>61571494Could but what I really want is to live where there are more people, not just vacation>>61571551What about taxes and stuff? Seems like huge legal trouble if you get caught
You do realise that you can work from a place where you can wake up earlier than others and finish your 8 hours of work and have the rest of your day? Like living in cheaper parts of west coast and working for companies in east coast?
>>61571060Get a hobby faggot.People like you are scum, I have hobbies I'd rather do than work.
>>61571060
>>61571060fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you
>>61571060>Boo hoo, I make tons of money doing nothing >not even decent khazar milkers for the OP pic0/10 bait
>>61571060I'm old enough to remember back when society tried to Gaslight me into thinking she was funny.
>>61571075>remote jobs don’t existLiterally just get on LinkedIn and filter for them. Preferably apply through the company website and watch the interview requests and assessments fly in. You’re not going to make as much as OP unless you’re working more than one job most likely but they usually pay fairly well all things considered.
>>61573933think it's worth getting another remote job? had a second job back in 2021 for a year but havent had luck landing anything since. Besides that been trying to freelance on the side and its a ton of work even landing one client
>>61571075there's nothing else to do.
>>61572234Like what? most anons here just play video games or gamble
>>61571645Pretty much all countries have treaties with the USA where if you pay USA taxes then the country you're living in won't tax you either. Look up the specifics with chatGPT for some countries they care a lot if you're staying over 6 months, other countries not so much
>>61575492won't tax you in addition to the USA*
