Not to be a doomer but I can't help but look at the state of things here in the west
>most people living paycheck to paycheck
>will never be able to retire
>unable to afford homes
>debt up to the eyeballs
>no leftover cash to put into a 401k or Roth IRA
With all of this in mind, how is the market just supposed to trend up forever and ever into our 60s?
>"nooo i have 100k invested it's gonna be worth millions when I'm 60!"
Okay but how do you know that? Things just seem uncertain I guess.

Being wealthy isnt normal. Being working class or poor is.
>>

I used to think about this all the time. Then I accepted the fact that things aren't going to get better, ever.
>>
The coming demographic crash will put a stop to "line only goes up" on markets. It will be something not seen before so your "100 years of market history" will mean fuck all.
Days are numbered for the god this world worships called GDP
>>
Most people are too thick to understand that you can’t just do some Joe Blow career and make it. You need to make as much money as possible, and put it into assets. As much as you can. Only then will you make it. If you can’t find the money, it’s a skill issue. Get a better job, get educated, do a trade. This is not a fucking game, you are going to be left behind if every dollar you own isn’t in some index fund.

I max my 401(k), Roth and HSA. Then I do another 10 percent of my income on top of that. The market will crash, but it always comes back unless it’s the end of capitalism.

Do not get left behind. You can still make it, but time is running out.
>>
>>61573251

Imagine not having the hugest hard on right now knowing that collapse is around the corner, you’ve been lifting straight for five years, you sold your shiny boomer rock stack and got a bitching C4 corvette and guns, and you’re about to get a chance to finally become who you were ment to be.

Maybe stop spending so much time on the internet and instead talk to actual people in real life. I am very sure this will help your outlook.
>>
>>61573251
You have to shift gears away from the value of the dollar (which will never deflate, it's only going to keep inflating to the point where a loaf of bread will require wheelbarrows of cash to purchase) and unto the value of real, tangible resources. Gardens, farms, wood stoves, fishing equipment, and hunting rifles will be the investments that matter as things get worse.
>>
>>61573305
Don’t listen to this guy. There will never be a full collapse. The issue is that there’ll be abundance, only you won’t be included in it because you won’t be able to afford anything. Buy as much index funds as possible.
>>
>>61573251
Line. Go. Up.
>>
>>61573292
And if that index fund gets rugged and goes to zero, then what?
>>
>>61573323
Hyperinflation is great for business, and so is extreme economic inequality.
>>
>>61573334
Do you know what an index fund is? You’re asking what if the entire market crashes, permanently? You have a bigger issue than your savings or the S&P 500, -a permanent crash means the bombs dropped or there’s a zombie virus.

Lmao you think there will ever be a crash? Listen to >>61573305 if there wasn't a crash over the last 25 years of consecutively fucking over zoomers then there won't be a crash now. You're living in the accelerated collapse of the Roman Empire and even then, sacking Rome didn't collapse Rome. It got sacked multiple times and nothing changed with Rome as a nation state, the same sacking has just been made legal.

What will happen is the continued sacking will keep going until they run out of things to sack, then they were invent a new index, a new ETF, a new commodity in which they can leverage against whatever is left to continue sacking. Then, they'll legalize a new form of sacking and do it all over again. Each time stripping a little bit more freedom and financial mobility from whoever is left that has cash.

I'm shocked people have so much faith in assets because there's another group of people who had faith in assets and you know what happened to them? The government legalized sacking them, and they were sacked. Really, the only reason your assets are safe are because the Government hasn't given permission to the raiders to sack you yet. You had better pray for a real estate crash before they realize the next valuable asset to sack is your land.
>>
>>61573251
Yeah bro, the 4th turning will culminate with some sort of major fucking changes by 2030 at the latest. sometimes I wonder if i should just leave the country and find work out there. I am pretty knowledgeable and can work any job, literally. Why stay in the USA? They are going to really start coming down hard on enslaving your kids (see that debt?) and they pretty much have you down as well. Living paycheck to paycheck should have never been a thing people accept. In the first year you should have something to fall back on.
>Marriage has been gassed with "Must pay for a large wedding, large ring and if it fails the male has to cover 50% of his finances to the separated female"
>Having kids has now become a financial issue, with costs rising exponentially (10% of .1 and 10% of 1, over the span of 50 years with the current year beating the previous year). This discourages you from procreating
>Jobs that pay you get taxed on the amount they pay you, then you pay another tax on the amount you receive after that. The gov is double dipping in the same transaction and fucking both sides... for what?
>foreign aid
>"undocumented" immigrant grants disguised as loans
>socialism for the rich with bailouts
>Constitution no longer is enforced
>Politics is pay to play, not vote to play
>10% of americans have over 1 million, but if you remove the value from home ownership its really 2.3%
>Gas has a tax on top of it to inflate its value, hence why Cali (best example) still has 6 dollar gallon gas
>Dollar constantly printed, an indirect tax on you to devalue what you have in USD
I mean, as far as I can see the whole system is rigged to just extort value from you. You move, you pay. So why continue to be in a place where you're expected to pay tax, then get no real returns back in your Quality of life (its getting worse)? A lot of people are filing exempt and trying to detach, but I think there are only two options left:
>gtfo of america somewhere else
>group up and actually hold accountability to the treason in office, which will be a very ugly event.

We're entering the Caesarism phase of civilization. Massive frauds like the Somali daycare scam are making people increasingly aware that scarcity is artificial (both its artificial imposition and the government's refusal to dispense cash) are going to lead to (justified) demands by the citizens for direct payments, not unlike the literal handouts of loot the Caesar dispensed in Rome. Even if he was bluffing, the fact that Trump teased Doge dividends is evidence this is the direction of popular sentiment. Needless to say money has already become the primary force in society which decides everything, including elections. Trump, while certainly not a Caesar figure himself, represents the shift from "national" politics to individual politics. The Republican party is dead; people only want to know who will be the dominant *person* after Trump. Likewise, nobody cares about the Democrats as a party or platform; the question is now who the next *person* will be. Candidates were figureheads for parties. Now the parties are apparatuses utilized by persons.

Not gonna happen. Rich people depend on the stock market to go up so they will do whatever it takes to ensure their assets grow in value indefinitely. You can either get in on part of it or be left behind. Unfortunately that’s the world we live in.

In the 50’s we had a stable country, most everyone could make it, and at the end you got a gold watch from your company before retirement. But I think most were bored, despite how good it was. Which is why I’m enjoying the chaos.

People want to blame the Jews, and I agree with that sorta. Actually in a way people should be almost happy with the Jews cuz they gave us inflated wealth which lead to a higher standard of living the last 50 years, despite it now crashing, but nobody stopped them when they were over inflating it. How can you be mad at the exploiters when the people are exploitable??? So when the NPC’s get super fucked it will be fun to watch. only Trump and Elon with DOGE got stumped and now all of a sudden Trump is very very pro Israel, beyond what he normally was. Some shit went down and corruption came up and put him back in order. It's obvious who really runs America, its not even hidden anymore and the next thing they do is bound up american citizens by fear and ignoring the constitution. Already the first amendment is ignored, 4th will be next, then comes the full on assault on enslavement. The lack of action from the people is the downfall for them. You think things are "tough" now, wait until you no longer get to pursuit "happiness" and no longer have food availble to "purchase" around you. Sucks, but hey im sure the Indians Europeans conquered had it ass as well, only this is a new age of warfare where "political correctness" is a veil for control and securement over populations.

You accept this? Lack of action is an answer as well anon

They key word here is theyre going to keep beating you and taking things from you until you either have nothing left or form a militia. If you sit back and think about it, you are AUTOMATICALLY taxed every step of the way... then you have to FILE taxes to get a TAX RETURN... aka what you overpaid the gov. Funny how they have a fully automated system to extract value from you but make you work to get any overextracted value back. I wonder how many people dont bother and are owed money? Its a rigged system and it was slowly built up because of people being complacent. Now that money is being used to murder others and given to people not even legal residents of the same country. You can't control the future. The problem is that for the past 100 years, we have been convinced to trade our present happiness in exchange for a better future. The whole system falls apart with the prospect of a worse future. Everyone starts to wonder why they are sacrificing so much now when there won't be any payoff.

True security means owning a business, owning some property, having friends, having family, having a community. We have traded all of that in exchange for cash and equities. Once the wages stop flowing and times get desperate, we are going to collectively realize this. Millions of children will go to bed cold and hungry, there will be riots in the streets, there will be world wars. But again, don't try to control the future, don't try to predict the day and date this is going to happen.

Now is the time to get fit, now is the time to lower your expectations for material wealth, now is the time to find friends, now is the time to stop sacrificing today in exchange for a tomorrow you know will never come. Don't sit there counting on a retirement that will never come and medical care that you won't be able to afford.

I don't know, bro. Shit hit the fan at the wrong time. We are too busy to gtfo the sinking ship. We try to hold our heads (and our family's heads) above the water but there is imply no time to row harder

Not really. The game is rigged nowadays

Just think of a different perspective
In the worst economic time of our country (You) are still keeping your family afloat while being a breadwinner
Depending on your age that means you are most likely more successful than your peers
It’s easy to feel doom and gloom because you want more, but the skills you already have will still apply when the economy is better (assuming it gets better)

>the game forced poor people to use credit cards to go see the next marvel goyslop movie
the game is rigged, but you have a self responsibility to rise above it, otherwise you’re accepting defeat which is what the game riggers want

Thanks for this post
I already am (barely) among the top 10% earners in my country. But it feels like fighting so hard against the relentless, coming tide that you wake up tired asf. I wanted some progress. Getting ahead some tiny bit, getting ahead a tiny bit year after year after all the hard work. Instead, it is a daily fight to stagnate. To not fall down

I am a top 10% earner as well and am fairly young
During this time I have found to appreciate what I do have more, my wife and children look up to me as a strong role model who puts a roof over their head and food on the table
At the end of the day I want more comfort, more opportunities and happiness for my family but I have to remind myself to be humble and thankful for what I do have

I am definitely not young
>I have to remind myself to be humble and thankful for what I do have
Truer words were never spoken. You've got the mindset, Anon. You're gonna make it.
