Starting from 0 background in finance, gradually I began to see the sheer complexity, significance and real world power of the US financial system. No wonder the companies that want to fluently maneuver in it hire extremely high IQ mathematicians, physicists and engineers, paying them small fortunes. In a way the general complex structure of structures resembles a complex software system. Inevitably, the system is not random and every part of it was designed in a very specific way, taking in very specific parameters to create certain type of output. It's a tool, a machine, piece by piece built by certain humans, for a certain desired outcome. The more I learn about it, the more of an impression I get that it has to have certain controllers, someone roughly directing it, and course correcting it, master admins so to speak. My question is - who are the people in control of the financial system? In specific. How did they arrive at a position where they're in control of it?

Someone needs to make a decision for that to happen. Who makes those decisions?
