UK/London Questions:
Is there a trusted way to get bullion that is definitely real from other people instead of shops so I don't have to pay VAT (is that even how it works?)

What about going to physical shops to not have to pay for delivery (the ones with free delivery charge the cost of delivery above other online dealers)

The pros trade futures.
The wealthy position themselves through the $SLV ETF.
Normal folks who love the game pick mining stocks.
Boomers rush in to buy whatever CNBC/Barron's tells them to.
Gamblers speculate with LEAPS and junior mining stocks.
I am none of that; stacking the physical underlying seems the sensible choice.

Dude they have blown up at least half the supply and there are billions and billions more people on earth now. The only way it’s coming back in coinage is if the coins you are trading pinhead sized coins and a merc dime would be like a $500 coin. And that’s on top of it being ridiculously valuable in industry. It’s not FUD (it’s actually super bullish obviously), it’s just facts.

> It is now quite plain to me — as the shape of his head and the way his hair grows also testify — that he is descended from the Indo-Aryans who accompanied the Vrishni flight from Central Asia (unless his mother or paternal grandmother interbred with ajeet). /pmg/ I have 5 francs coin I suspect might be fake because it sounds and looks slightly off compared to a real one (some of the fonts are different compared to examples of real ones I can find), but when I weigh it it's the exact weight of a real coin and it has the same edge lettering as a real one. I suppose it could be a lead fake which would give it the correct weight, but I don't know what lead sounds like so I have no clue if this is the case.
Can anyone here give their opinion on if this is fake or not?

Yes that’s true boomer but times have changed because they invented technology that has destroyed half the silver and the world population has more than doubled since the 70s. This stuff is too scarce and valuable. Also no for most of human civilisation the masses of people were using copper peasant tokens. Silver was generally only for the richfags and upper middle classfags.

There is just no way this stuff is going back into circulation as coinage anymore. There will be banks that “hold” the metals and you spend micrograms with your card. It will probably be properly backed and audited for a while and then we get to run the fractional reserve scam back all over again.

>>61594026
Neither is making a claim with evidence.

For all Chinese history the peasants used copper cash coins, seeing a piece of silver would be a rare event. Only nobles and merchants would see silver sycee bullion. Rome had high silver content silver coinage for a very brief period of time and that was because they plundered all of Europe and a fuckoff huge amount of the population were penniless slaves so the Romans could use the silver loot as money. Then they found they didn’t have enough silver to use as coinage as expenses grew so they diluted it to zero. Then in medieval Europe you were back to feudal farmers who absolutely never fucking saw silver.

Sd bullion really getting slow since the move up in price.
>>
>>61594080
There are innumerable hoards of silver coins from the Hellenistic world. Even the Celts minted silver coins. Those were coins used in trade. They circulated. Whether or not the poorest of the poor used them is beside the point. They were used in commerce as evidenced by the fact that they spread far and wide through all of Europe and Central Asia. There were even Roman coins found in Japan. And silver was the de facto international currency in the Americas and Asia for several hundred years. The term "two bits" (meaning 25 cents) derived from the use of silver Spanish dollars broken into quarters. They were used by everyone in commerce, not hoarded by kings.
>>
>>61594242

The ability to kick the can has always been largely dependent on international trade and securing goods from abroad to help soak up inflation domestically, and also facilitate jobs, corporate profits and taxes.
Grabbing one of the largest oil producing nations on Earth will no doubt go a long way in keeping things afloat (assuming relative normalcy and not a complete breakdown in international trade).
It looks like the refinery appears to be for some long term planning.
But the biggest concern for me is always going to cause problems will be the monetary side including the national debt, the dollar, interest rates and the trade deficits. The government loses half of its tax revenues to interest and we have to deficit spend $2TN just to stave off a depression. The exponential nature of money creation is not going to stop for even a second. And if aren't collecting interest for some reason, why would everyone on earth run straight for the money metals?

Canadian here, the female zoomer bank clerk just went and sold me all the 50 cent pieces without asking her manager. I just got 8.50$ face in silver..... for fucking face. She did not want to do the paperwork on them at all and "did her a solid"

Canadian junk is 0.6oz per 1$ face, so i got 5.1oz of silver for fucking 8.50. Silver right now is 100+ in leafbux

holy shit my best haul ever, i only been stacking since 2023

I'm also a 3d artist and I looked into making a coin myself. You can get a die made which would be the hardest part. Then you would need a hole punch of your desired width, a manual hydraulic press to hole punch and press the coin into the die, a roller to make a metal sheet of your desired thickness and some kind of tumbler to give it a consistent finish.

I have a more obscure and esoteric method of deciding buy times than others. Everybody is hyper focused on the USD chart but I look at the argentine peso. You can go back in the chart and every time gold/silver is lower in the peso, it's been an amazing time to accumulate, if the hardest money there is is down against a currency like the peso, it's a screaming buy signal. Everybody mentions weimar hyper inflation but the US won't follow its path at all, the USD won't have 1000 or 1000% inflation in a year, it'll look more like the peso, just a steady erosion year after year, no sudden collapse like weimar. If you want to look at future prices of precious metals in USD, look at the historical peso price.

Right now it's signalling to me to buy.
