Should I buy 10oz gold or monster box (500) silver? Feels like gold hasn't moved in a while and I feel like it will shoot up soon due to the gold silver ratio.
Also never bought such a large quantity at once, are they going to report my transaction to Feds? I would have to either use debit card or wire it.

Look at a longer chart on the gsr and look at how much comes from the ground today. Silver is the better play. NEVER use a debit card. Credit cards are the safest way to buy things online. ACH is ok and cheaper if you are buying from a trusted dealer. They only report if you sell over 10k at once.

IMO don't blow your wad at once on either. Prices are high right now. Buy some silver and a little bit of gold if you want some and sit on the sidelines waiting for a pullback in price before you spend more than half of your disposable cash. When it goes up you'll be happy you bought some. If it goes down, you'll be pissed that you overpaid. Over time, it's going much higher than it is now, but there are probably going to be some good entry points before then.

I got about 1000 oz silver but 1oz gold . I basically stopped buying once it went over 30. "I'll wait for it to dip back down to 25" nope never happened. Then once prices went over 50 I stopped feeling comfortable buying silver online. I don't want to risk a lost/stolen shipment. The delivery drivers don't even bother getting my signature half the time and I have had a few non-PM packages get delivered to neighbors houses. So Im thinking about going to a B&M shop and making a single large purchase. I have about $70000 saved up.

I do think silver is the better play even still. Was just considering gold to diversify a bit since I only had the single one ounce coin(a maple leaf).

I feel like a G/S ratio around 50 should be equal gold to silver $ purchases, I’m unloading as much silver as I can once it gets sub 40 for gold. The main thing I’ve been pondering is how best to do so without it being a taxable event. Any fellow auscunts have any advice here considering a lot of places all report transactions over $5k?

B&M is a good call if you're worried about a paper trail. If you're planning to spend thousands of bucks at once investing in a PO box for a month might not be a bad call either if you're worried about deliveries. I've got a similar ratio to you. That brit is my only one ounce coin, but I've probably got another ounce or two in fractional and jewelry. I'm not buying any more gold at these prices. (I really want the new goldbacks, but the premium is insane) I fomo'd in at 75 for another 50ish ounces of silver, but I've mainly been going for numismatics and other cool stuff I wouldn't normally stack from ebay instead of dealers. Picrel was cheaper than a 5 ounce bar (dealer's choice)
>>
>>61601819
>waiting for a pullback
Unless you’re expecting this to giga dump, any short term pullbacks won’t be worth waiting for, especially if you factor in premiums.

I think it'll go to 15 within the next 3 years

I just hope I have enough stacked by then

I only have 13oz in coins, and another 8oz in junk flatware atm

by the end of the year I'm aiming for 200oz, but if the price keeps going how it has been I could only end up stacking 100oz

Neither of which are make it numbers. I really hope we crash sometime after march, back to at least $60 $70 and all the normies will panic sell. I kick myself for having not stacked more earlier. I knew about silver and had a small quantity of silver for a long time, but always thought "eh silvers still only $30 an oz it's not happening yet I have time"

In UK a 1oz silver coin (Britannica) is actually legal tender, meaning no Capital Gains Tax is paid on the profit should you sell.

Bars and foreign coins are assets.

I like big bars, but single ounces look better in coins imo. Another reason people like coins is because of the legal aspect of them. Bars and rounds are bullion and can have tax when you take them to other countries. If you are using american currency with face value, IE a silver eagle or junk silver, you can get away with taking it anywhere you want in the world within reason. Because it's legal tender and shouldn't be taxed

I don't think any coin or bullion is exempt from tax in america though, unless you sell it person to person and you both shut the fuck up about it

We're in uncharted territory. Giga dumps have happened twice in the past. I think this time is different, but I don't want to encourage someone to go all in at ATHs. I've been spending just about everything I can comfortably the last few weeks on silver. I'm going to keep some dry powder though to snatch up good numismatic deals on the run up. Yea that’s the thing. With the way things are going, I can’t imagine silver going that much further down from here, outside of the standard tamps. A lot of strings had to be pulled for that December tamp and even that didn’t go down too far or even last that long. If they do manage to nuke the chart, some serious shit would have to go down. Coming from a cryptard background, fomo and going all in almost always got a person rekt and even now I personally don’t encourage it for metals but if anyone was determined to do it, I would feel more confident in doing it with silver than anything else desu

I always avoided them in the past for that reason. They also had dumb premiums on top. From what I understand it was changed to 30g out of "national pride" to use metric measurements. 2015 was the last year of 1 oz pandas. I got some 1 ounce ones too for a good deal. Unless you can get them cheap, they are bad to stack. I do like them as a collector though. The design changes every year.

Is it too late to buy now? Seems like a risk just for a 20ish dollar profit if it gets to 100$. Also, the hype around it going over 100$ seems like the same one for BTC, which resulted in it falling sharply later on. Does anyone genuinely believe silver can hold it's value above 100$?

Look at the market cap for gold and silver and look at this image. BTC has no intrinsic value and only has hype, FUD, and FOMO to power it. The increasingly electrified world can't exist without silver. It's been down in the dumps for awhile, but I started stacking years ago with the belief that it will be worth much much more than 100 dollars an ounce.

Ehrm but they'll like find some other metal that works as well as silver, they'll just replace it all with copper, or or or, uhhh anyways, silver just won't go up, and if it does then no one will use it and it will just drop back in value.

Here’s the deal, if you buy one, you make $20 (not including fees). You buy 10 you make $200 (not including fees). Losses multiplied as well, but desu current instability comes from banks desire to suppress and NOT supply and demand. They don't have a choice if the FOMO gets the public at large to start slurping physical silver. The only rationing mechanism they have is price. If this mints are all getting large premiums they will continue to buy up metal for retail consumption. People can afford 1oz per paycheck, and even that is a dangerous level of demand if everyone working man starts stacking. $100 is a high price given our normalcy bias. The amount of demand sitting on the sidelines that could possibly chase after silver could blow the price skyhigh if the supply crunch continues.

More like gold will be their emergency escape hatch.
They have had a monopoly in gold for decades if not centuries.
Gold is not necessary and is only useful because the bankers say it is.
Their gold manipulation was even foretold in the protocols of Zion. Protocol number 20.
The gold standard always fails because they always eventually pull the plug and it gridlocks economies. That is by design.
Every time they get the chance they demonitize silver, introduce bimetalism, and eventually force a gold standard.
Almost this exact thing happened in Weimar Germany.
Once you see the free silver movement through this lense it will make more sense.

Also I keep messing up the new captcha. Damn maybe I'm restarded

I skimmed your post, but I think the main difference this time around is that silver ended up being ultra useful in technology and industry.
This wasn't such a factor in previous gold/silver rug pulls they've done.
It's actually different this time.
>>
Not only will you not suffer inflation losses with silver, since it is an industrial exchange medium vital to modern industry and almost completely depleted, it will have steady gains even in the absolute absence of inflation. The ratio to gold naturally sits at 1:16, however it is currently is manipulated 1:280. Currency devaluation in this scenario would mean the ratio returns to normal, aka gold to silver. Price = $3000/16 = $187.50, and generally the price for precious metals likewise rises in this scenario so 1:10 and $5000 might be more accurate. Which means a 30:1 ratio or 2000% price increase.

Of course that's over ten years -- you can't even make 10% a year with a bully market and constantly trading, constantly losing money via friction aka "taxes" (gradation), and being at the whim of some overpowered AI that is countertrading your market trend.

Whereas investing in silver is a much more stress free thing, you can weekly physical buy a little bit per paycheck and throw the piece in your safe or something. Works every time.

Nah he is right, because their gold is fake
So even if they bought silver to hedge they'd be short actual gold at that point
They're for all intents and purpose like 200x overleveraged

They couldn't buy silver to hedge because it would sink the whole US economy and they've been doubling down on the political front because they know it will sink them regardless.
Trying to maintain their hegemony through control

I mean you could try writing it off as incompetence
But it seems much more likely to me that they created a debt slavery matrix using fake money and stupid Goyim trusted the government
Now the government is basically buying cyberwar and cybersecurity weapons to blow your desktop up the moment you realize it

found this set of tiffany stuff going for $160 currently (0 bids, almost over). Seem to go for $350 - $450 in the US.
specs:
>Cake/Server 54.9g/1.94oz, Butter Knife 41.8g/1.5oz
Only reason I'm not pulling the trigger yet is although the butter knife blade is surely steel, I'm not sure if the cake server blade is also steel (probably...)
So I guess worst case it's only like 2 ounces.

the $420 on the die is the lowest, so that could be higher. He had me resend the design in the email but I'm assuming he already saw it because I uploaded it to the quote form.
Anonymints latest gilded silver round went for 125 and that's with a spot price of probably 40 or lower. I emailed him btw to see if he wants to do this since he has the work flow and can stream line probably very easily/get best price etc.
>>61603227
He didn't mention a minimum. In the quote I said at least 200. I think Apputania's ran about 200 rounds. The shipping to the anons of /pmg/ is going to add at least 5 dollars per order, so if you buy one, the round would have an extra 5 dollar premium

>My goal is to only buy stuff where I’m paying 50ish% of melt tops (and preferably much less). There was a bit of a learning curve at first but I’m not underwater on anything and am getting a sharper eye. And the thrill of the hunt is pretty comfy

I agree on all points, the dopamine hit of scoring something good is one helluva drug. I always passively looked for silver when I'd check out garage sales and thrift shops but got very serious about hunting cheap PMs in April 2020 and had developed a great strategy for mining eBay auctions within several months. I also got serious about checking out IRL estate sales and have done well (you should monitor www.estatesales.net for listings in your area), my best was a sale where I got over 2 kilos of sterling and some gold for $133 but I know that some people luck out and can slurp a few hundred ounces at a single sale. Probably 85-90% of my sterling has come from eBay though, at an average cost under $10/ozt asw through 2024. We gotta pay more nowadays and the competition is more fierce than I've ever seen it but there are still plenty of deals to be found if you know how to optimize searches and learn what types of items and which categories are most likely to harbor unrecognized "sleeper" silver. Not everyone has the eye for it but several anons get it and have done very well over the years, it seems like you're a natural too so keep sharpening those skills.

That sounds like over 300 per coin for a small production... Not sure how many anons would be interested in that.
Anyway, I can finish up the 3D file and hand it over to someone else for an ounce or two, if someone with the balls for it wants to try getting a batch made.
I don't think I have the money to invest that much, nor the stomach to tie my name to the somewhat risky design, but it would be fun to just see it happen.

What I don’t get is how they trigger emotional response. Literally every time I think “the price gonna keep on falling, it’s better to sell now to re-enter later”, I hit the day/week/month low and then forced to buy back at a higher price. The same goes the other way, when I think “nah, it’s rising too fast, I’ll wait out” I get priced out

Another important fact is that nearly all of the world's silver is being used and used and used until it will no longer exist in unblended or unmixed form. The overwhelming majority of silver exists in an amalgamated state, and will very soon not be able to exist in its original state. Think of unreasonable amounts of amounts of micro-fragments of silver like throwing away shredded paperwork or cremating a human, there is no way back. This silver is forever gone.

You would hope that with silver you would meet positive people but as you well know this thread is flooded with glooming baggies and schizos. But it's great to read all the positive thoughts and feels from so many silvers. I remember when this thread was a much smaller faction. Stay safe and let's continue to stack and watch the banks crash and burn.

Him charging $98 spot for the silver includes his labor to run the machines and mint qty marks. The 420 is for the dies, and then you have sales tax, shipping, and the coin holders.

You're probably going to be around $21,000 all in if you make 200 of them, and $12,000 for 100 of them. At minimum you'd likely need to sell them for near $200 to cover all the rest of your expenses (taxes, website, etc etc)

It is an absolute fact already that silver will hit these numbers in hyperinflation adjusted value. Unavoidable. Say that silver stays at $70 or even $30 forever (even though it's actually 100% guaranteed to rise), if one ounce of silver costs $30... and $1 = $30... wtf does an ounce of silver cost then? It costs $900. I'm having a hard time understanding how this is in any way complicated. It is 100% fact that silver is going up in Dollar terms. There's a 0% chance that it won't. It is also a 100% fact that we will live in a world where Dollars are worthless. A Bic lighter will cost $100. It already costs $1.50 in Dollar terms, how much do you think one is worth in other currencies? A few thousand Lira?

You lot think they didn't know about gold? They knew! They defended the use of paper specifically because they knew exactly what was happening, and they were so stupid they'd rather let it continue than upset the Jews.

This will never ever happen again. We the working Americans took literal paper, which we knew for a fact were controlled by the Jews, as payment for back breaking labor and we embraced it as one of the greatest moments of Western history. Imagine what you said about Germans or Italians. Imagine what you said about any group of people who allowed themselves such a barbarian practice. We let our labor be paid to us in paper. Paper. Little pieces of crappy paper. For nearly 1/3 of our lives.

There's 11,000,000 Americans who "own" physical silver. 91% of these people are women. We have now established two important facts. One, very few people hold on to silver, and two, among those 11,000,000 who do, nearly all of them are female.
>>
>>61603351
Are you a woman? You can't do math and you're scared to put your name on your art because some might think it's edgy? BTW, for future, I can verify myself with a picture of a small Mussolini statue, an aurora thesi pen, and a DVD copy of Patrick Swayze's The Beast. And of course, my white male hand.

200 rounds x 98 = 19600. + 420 (low end) = 20020. Divided by 200 = 100.1 per coin. Where did you get 300?
Are you white, btw? Wanting to take an oz or two for doing a 3D design but not wanting to put your name on it because your scared is non coded. I don't know what kind of file they need for the die, but I think a white guy should design it. It's a frensmark after all.

I wanted to tell you guys that I love silver I’m a fucking silver bull. I have been buying silver for 10 years but never in my fucking life have I seen so much bullshit that people don’t even sort through reporting it as facts.

Asia selling silver for $40 over spot. JP Morgan buying 750,000,000 ounces of silver.

I was talking to a fellow stacker irl and he told me about the Asian, artificial intelligence guy, and how great and informative he is. Then I told him that his information has been verified as being incorrect quite a bit. His response was “ It doesn’t matter I am making money.” I feel like this is where we are recently. The UBS published this silver supply and demand chart. Do they have a conflict of interest in silver? They sell silver ETFs on the Swiss exchange from what I can tell.

What about COMEX they claim they have more silver than the last 20 years regulated and eligible. Supposedly the inventories are independently verified. Are they lying?

I think it’s possible we are mainly witnessing a crisis or trust and silver is the high beta version of that.

I don't remember what anony did exactly, but I think for the apputanias we sent him either paypal with a note of our address or BTC with a note. It was something sketchy and non-verifiable. He stayed anonymous or one other person verified him or something. It could just be a gofund me for a different design and then just make the frensmark. They likely wouldn't shut that down. But they take a cut so idk about all that. Either way, pre-order is definitely the way to go. With silver being more volatile, things could swing fast. When anony did apputanias, it just wasn't the same. It will be a hurdle because the quote from the mint, and the collection from /pmg/ will change. Maybe there is a way to lock in a price. We'll see. Like I said, I've only heard back from 1 of 3 quote requests and it's been less than 24 hours. But I have to say, the prompt response from them adds value over the other 2 already.
>>
>>61603484
Jesus, why are you so jumpy?
I just realize that a nazi-inspired coin, even if just a joke, can land you in trouble/lose you career opportunities.
Anyway, here's my math:
420 + (20 rounds x 98) + tax + shipping + unknowns = 119++++ per coin
If you are looking to make any money at all, or even avoid a loss, you'd need go put a pretty hefty price on that.
First of all, there's no guarantee you'll even be able to sell a single coin. Secondly, tax regulations (at least in my country) may come into play if you are doing any trade at all. That's 25% in Norgay., which may apply for BOTH purchase and sale. You may even have to register a business if it's over a certain volume, which alone can be prohibitively expensive (your 200 roudn example will pretty much guarantee it).
It doesn't sound like you've ever worked with production.
At the end of the day, I just wanted to do something fun. If I can stack another coin, that would make it feel like it was worth it, even if it's just stupid meme time wasting.

I jumped because your math is terrible and I don't want some non-white or a female making the design if I'm putting time into this. There is another guy who is putting out quotes as well who i in the previous thread. I'm in America so I sympathize with the legal aspects, taxes, and potential job losses that other countries have. You bring up a really good point about taxes and business. That's why hopefully Anony will respond to my email and take this over because he knows all that stuff for this exact product. However, with out going into detail, I am already set up to run this above board and legally. I do lack experience in international shipping, though. In regards to being able to sell a single coin, it would all be pre-sale. Are you the person who did the design attached? If so, you need to come up with a verification pic so someone can't claim to be you and change the design. Just make it unique things and your white male hand like I did. My math isn't off, but yeah, enjoy being free from insane VAT.
Here is proof of me and my paltry 20 ounces.
I didn't make the drawings. I just began the work of converting it into a 3D file, so that it could actually be made a nice die.
I just made small changes to make it work better in 3D and I tried making it with a more authentic font. And added some dots lining the edge.

The final design will need to be a vector image. But I really like the finish on your 3D rendering. Do you have the obverse of it? Also, the design will need space for the numbering. I heard that gifts in some countries don't have VAT, but I don't know.
>>

A vector file will just mean they make the die. You basically have to trust they'll do a good job of it. It's likely it will be fairly basic and flat. If you give them a 3D file you can get more/better detailing.
But I have an illustrator file with most of the important features outlined too.

>Do you have the obverse of it?
I began work on it, but stopped, since it was a bit unclear where this was headed.
I'll probably finish it anyway.
>Gifts
Yeah, but if you're selling 200 coins they will notice it's not "gifts".

of course it's faith

Edge numbering/lettering is better and then put the serial number at the bottom. When I get home I’ll post the idea I had for it.

Dang that's a lot. Thank goodness for preorder. I hope if anony doesn't want to do it, he'll share some of his wisdom on how he collected funds. I'm already outfitted to do shipping from home.

That's what I was thinking. He said they prefer vector. I'll wait a little longer until I hear back from the other 2 places, anony hopefully, and the other guy who is looking for quotes. I will get with this mint again about finish, because you're right, a vector image seems inadequate.

>why not still aim for 10x that?
Who's stopping you?
Who's advising you to stop?
I didn't stop at 36, or 360. I'm still going, too.

respond to what? Rumors we can't verify?
You already stated the answer : we don't know. Go fetch your LED lamp, half a ton of semtex and check the underground vaults of JPM if you want an answer.

Sounds nice. Where does one learn how to do this? Searching online seemed to give a lot of different answers.

This looks like absolute shit and I would never buy it. I get that you are all autistic but try to have some sense of aesthetics and symmetry.

I buy any coin where the melt value of the silver is below spot. I dont really care about grade or numerics as I am just stacking

Ive manges to catch some really nice ASE proofs and reverse proofs for dang near spot in recent weeks. One is a PF70 on the proof, another one came in the original mint box with COA from 1990. The RP is the PF69 but a beautiful coin nonetheless. Picking up pieces are definitely the play here while premium is lower.
