A retarded Korean company went and bought a bunch of supertankers over the holidays, essentially asking owners to name their price and confirming it, even if it is 15% above the market price and makes absolutely no sense.

The Koreans are becoming the world's #1 supertanker owner overnight, controlling twice as many ships as the second largest owner (tied between state owned China Merchants and Saudi's Bahri). It's a huge move.

Stocks are mooning because the assets are being repriced much higher.
It's stupid, there should be no repricing at all. There is no other buyer willing to pay those stupid prices. It was a one off.
If anything, this will kill the market for months. Everyone now wants these kind of prices, but no one else is going to pay them.

Should we ban shills who quote fake news from gambling prediction websites on how SCOTUS will rule?

I personally believe it will take until June 2026 before SCOTUS finally rules on Trump's tariffs and I predict Trump will win, because every past president has used the same importation regulation law to apply tariffs since JFK's presidency. I will use Reagan's tariffs as an example.

Reagan’s tariffs & quotas, which affected 25% of US imports:

45% on Japanese motorcycles (1981)

Auto import limits (1981)

Steel quotas (1982 - 1988)

Footwear tariffs (1983)

Machine tool / Computer VERs (1983 - 1987)

100% tariffs on Japanese electronics (1987)

EEC agricultural duties (1986)

nah its a longer term investment. The replacement needs to know that south american commie revolutions are over. Time to make a deal with the US. And the oil isnt uninvestable by the way. The companies didnt say that. Chevron never left and XOM and COP both know how to do it and there are refineries who can make the heavy crude work. Venezuela also has off shore deposits near guyana that arent heavy and onshore non heavy blends. It just may not be worth it at $55 oil. But companies may wait to see the dust clear and then start to invest.

The logic is sound too; most of Venezuela's oil infrastructure is years out of date, and most of that oil is crude anyway. It would literally take decades to get it to the point where it would be profitable, and in an unstable location that's likely to have another regime change within the decade? Fuck no.

>>

It's current situation is uninvestable. Simultaneously, it isn't really able to get out of being uninvestable without being invested in. That's the paradox; no one wants to make it get to the state where it'll be good to invest in because it'll take decades of investment, especially not when one of the risk factors is another completely different government and/or the cartels taking over.

The problem is that jobs shouldn't be scarce, companies are just being retarded. For example Uranium is about to make a breakout because in order to run fucking data centers they need nuclear powerplants supplying more power to the grid. And to do that you need to hire engineers, architects, construction workers, tradies, nuclear scientists, prospectors, surveyors etc.

The failure by companies to just stop being faggots and hire the workers they need to build and maintain the facilities they need is because of MBA idiocy, probably.

I have a good idea how trump can save the real estate market. Allow mortgages with 100x leverage. All you need is a 1% downpayment! That would make it so easy for everyone to afford houses. You can easily buy a 1 million dollar house with a 10k downpayment that way.

Trump can literally not discuss things. His brain is not functioning sufficiently for this anymore. He's like a fly, jumping from one thought to the next, adding fillwords and repetitions (biggest blabla the world has ever blabla) trying to find his way back to what he was actually talking about only to then lose the thread and jump to the next thing.

3 days ago he said ALL Markets are at ATH (premarket). It wasn't. To his credit, the SP hit ATH later that day, he memed it halfway to reality as NDX still wasn't at ATH that day and isn't now.

Yesterday or rather two days ago as it was 8pm thursday in the US he tweets/truths jobsdata the allegedly had info from the jobsreport yesterday.

It's somewhat retardation and also intentional, because there are bigger retards down the ladder (the people). And retards ravel in their retardation, they look up to the bigger retard. And it works, because Americans are on an individual level weak retards that love the feeling of power and strength and abuse it when they can.

Propaganda is now the norm.

That's why they have those oversized cars, they love wasting gasoline, they ravel in all that shit that's unnecessary and get a kick off it. They are degenerates on average and all that religion thing is also just show, a label like their affilation to a football team.
>I'm TEAM CHRIST
>CHRIST IS KANG
etc, you know what I mean

The average american doesn't know how much he gets carried by his elites and the natural ressources and geographic location of the country. And when the US does something he thinks:
>this was me
And when something doesn't work, like retards, that think too highly of themselves, they try to shift the blame to somebody else (DEI etc.).

Don't reply Americans, I don't care.

I started a position the day before. It had a very small EPS miss, and still went up a little, so I felt it looked strong. Now I can't add to it immediately.

It was Apple. At some point it was most of my net worth and I didn't feel comfortable anymore so I switched it all to index fund. I was already contributing to index funds for some time at that point.

Right now I have zero individual stocks and won't buy one unless something really clicks for me.

Same can be said about IREN and to a lesser extent NBIS. People are really sleeping on the data center plays. I'm in NBIS and ORCL for this year personally, safer picks compared to IREN and APLD. ORCL is the safest pick out of all of them and has the most attractive price right now.

It's more about disatisfaction with the current rulling party than anything else
anti-China sentiment in Taiwan is rising over time, especially among the young

I like saying Christ is King because it's the closest thing to a jewish slur you can say in public that doesn't get you in trouble. I've made a jewish director and a jewish finance controller kvetch over it.

The US' goal is to kill the EU to kill the Euro. This is the only explanation for the bullshit they are doing currently. Or he's a russian plant.

It became way too obvious when Musk started his retardcampaign about abolishing the EU because of muh free speech

Btw, did you guys know that the CEO of Micron is indian?

Not only that, the guy also created SanDisk, lmao

>Sanjay joined Micron in 2017 after a distinguished career at SanDisk Corp. where he led the company from start-up in 1988 until its sale in 2016. In addition to being a SanDisk co-founder, Sanjay served as its president and CEO from 2011 to 2016, overseeing its growth to an industry-leading Fortune 500 company.
>>
>>61616346
In what situation would you say "Christ is King" in a business setting without being seen as a retard? Ranting about jews would look more sane and contextual than just hitting somebody with a "Christ is King"
>>
>>61616353
It makes perfect sense
The Euro is currently the only real threat to US dollar dominance in financial markets and ending it would put an end to US imperialism for good

Europe has a whole would be far poorer without the single market and the single currency
you're doing what the mutts want

Hopefully soon.
>>
>>61616368
I dont care. Every month I invest 80% of my paycheck straight into the us market by buying an etf that tracks the s&p. I lost a lof money the last 12 months because the euro grew stronger. No I dont care about europe or other people around me, why should I? Yes if I could I would leave this commie piece of shit.
>>
>>61616368
>without the single market and the single currency
You don't need a single currency to have a single market, many EU nations don't have the euro.
Not having control of their own national currency makes much harder for nations to recover from one sided shocks
Also the euro it's an average of all the EU countries inherent currencies, so it's devalued for Germany and overvalued for like Italy and Greece.

>>61616376
Based, as fellow europoor I feel absolutely the same.

The single currency makes having free trade and robust supply chains easier makes the different entities on both sides of a border don't have to deal with FX risk.
Can you imagine how weaker America would be if every state used a different currency?
Also there are more eurozone countries than non eurozone countries in the EU and denmark doesn't count because their currency is pegged to the euro.
Ideally yes the entire EU would share 1 currency, it's the only way we can compete with China and the United States
>>

>>
guys let's just say I bought 100 stocks in NVDA without an actual gameplan, where do I go from here?
>>
>>61616397
Ok ok, I also do not promote for the Euro in every country. It's not been a benefit to each nation. But it sure seems like the US doesn't like it. Obvious divide and conquer play by the US.

The UK left the EU and what did they get? More refugees and economic losses.
>>
>>61616406
buy tsmc shares. tsmc and nvdia is like peanut butter and jelly. they go hand in hand.
>>
>>61616408
I agree
My point is that a full monetary and fiscal union should be a long term goal.
There's no need to rush it or we get another greece.
I agree that the european project is a threat to america which is why they're playing these D&D tactics with euros
>>

The US is a federal country with a strong federal authority and a fuckhuge federal budget.
For sure if we were to copy paste the US model over europe the economical situation would improve, but how would you like to have a Macron or a Merz as president?
Politically it's not happening.

>>61616418
>My point is that a full monetary and fiscal union should be a long term goal.
The problem is, who gets to decide those? EU authorities are a joke.
>>
>>61616440
I don't want either of those in power but I still want the US's federal structure or at least something similar here so we can be rich empires again and be able to tell the US and China to fuck off
>The problem is, who gets to decide those? EU authorities are a joke.
The monetary union is already a thing we just need to slowly expand it to countries than can handle it
the fiscal union will happen naturally to make the euro work as the euro without a fiscal union can cause a lot of problems

Necessity will eventually make it happen, europeans are sick and tired of US influence in every aspect of life
>>
>>61616450
>the fiscal union will happen naturally
That's what they thought when they first implemented the euro.
It has been 25 years and we are nowhere close.
It's time to be real and realize it's not happening.
>>
>>61616454
the euro and the fiscal union have to happen together though or else you get massive disruptions in debt markets every time a recession occurs.
without a fiscal union it's only a matter of time before another greece happens
>>
>>61616450
The fiscal union is shit. The eastern countries are too weak for the western countries. Let alone trying to expand it to stuff like north africa or turkey.
There should at least be 2 euros, a euro for countries that are 'rich' and a euro for 'poor' countries.
>>
someone bake
>>
>>61616457
No european wants to include Turkey in any of this
>>
>>61616456
>or else you get massive disruptions in debt markets every time a recession occurs
Oh I fully agree, but that's exactly what has been happening for 25 years.
>without a fiscal union it's only a matter of time before another greece happens
Exactly.
But see, when fiscal union is politically impossible there's only another way to fix the situation.
Dismantle the euro.

>>
>>61616418
>My point is that a full monetary and fiscal union should be a long term goal.
Yes

A federal union would also be fine.
>muh culture
Culture is now global, it wouldn't matter much for future cultural development. Past culture already has a difficulty of being preserved. It's mostly up to individuals or small groups nowadays. Nobody would be forced to abandon his culture or identity fully, but have to learn a language with which we could all communicate which basically already is english. It would also not look weird if England was still in the EU, but now it sure would look dumb to have English as official government and cultural language for a federal union with the UK not being a part.

So, what is it then, french? French at least is also spoken outside of Europe. Spanish even more so.
>>
>>61616482
Too late to change the language, every kid has been studying English since grade school.
Also it's just the global language at this point, getting studied in places like China and Japan too.
>>
>>61616482
german is the most spoken language in Europe if you take into account that a lot of non german europeans also speak it, especially balkaners and easterners.
french and spanish is spoken in france and spain but not anywhere else in europe (only in latin america and africa)

I'm investing my dad's inheritance. Rip old man.

I have thr bulk in VOO but I am buying some stocks too. So far I have RKLB, ASTS, GOOG, MU, NBIS.

What else is a must have? I had 65k so I am putting 5k-6.5k into 10 must haves. Or should I just by more of my current picks? 10k each? Then put the rest where?

On a separate note, Will pebble creek ever open? Funny enough i actually read the NEPA case that kept it closed in law school and i don't think it can be opened. Maybe with all the other major changes to admin law (loper bright) it can be. But i am still skeptical. Been holding NAK since Trump round 1 kek.
