Gold is a bet on US fiscal irresponsibility.
Silver is 50% a bet on US fiscal irresponsibility, 50% a bet on solar power and electronics.
Platinum and palladium are a bet on ICE & hybrid vehicles.
Few understand this.

Just got my niggles at the LCS. This is what roughly 1,000 USD gets you now, I could have got either this or a 10 ounce bar plus a couple rounds. These were so heavy to carry home, weighing down my pockets and I had to split them up even with a belt on. It's literally a big pile of coins.
Plus you get my metadata for free just for visiting this thread.

Seeing all of the ugly toning is so pretty, it makes me feel like I'm handling old roman coins or something. I don't like that shiny shit that doesn't look like money, war nickels in particular are always gross and stinky and seem like they're 300 years old.
Which is cool, I like cool things and not grey houses with grey trim and grey vinyl floorboards.

Just google melt value of silver coins, look at the dime price, X10 it for each dollar face value and you know what the melt value should be.
And then you just have to memorize the dates that 90% was issued, which is literally one number. Very simple. If you want to get more complex like dealing with half dollar bullshit shenaniggans or weight of odd silver like dollars you can, but it's not necessary.

And it's pretty easy to trust a stack of old quarters, especially something like walking liberties.

Yikes, just read some thing of a guy trading 57 ounces of silver for 1 of gold, and everyone saying this is a good deal.
Do they not realize how delusional this is? I get that it's still money, but to think that you can trade literally several pounds of silver and only get 1 ounce of gold? But they're both precious metals, and one is in a massive never seen before shortage?

Oh well, let them cash out for minor profits while they all clap and I'll just come in and slurp up 10 acres with that 57 ounces while they play with their cock with 1 ounce of gold, but still, why even buy for such a pathetic "gain"?
>>
>>61617484
Neat
>>
>>61617499
I'd do some legwork and make some phone calls and hope to trade pure ounces for the sterling, maybe ask your LCS to hold and tell him you'll give him a trade, call LCS's in the area and tell them you're buying any good looking sterling they get at a good price.
Not sure how this is in your area but this is how antique trades are done, there's a guy you know who handles this fancy pottery, maybe someone else buys chairs, maybe someone else buys legos, so let the local stores know you'll pay spot for the stuff they're sending to the refinery.

Not really a fairy tale or anything, it's just that literally every single asset is now overpriced so if I sold I'd have nowhere to put the money, I have no debts and no overwhelming needs, what would I do with said money?
I can't reliably make more money with it since stocks and other shit are at ATH's and crypto is dead, nothing feels as safe as PM's so I'm staying right here and not selling.

I actually got it from an auction by CNG Coins almost a month ago, back when silver was around $66 an ounce, and it just came in the mail finally this week (normally they are much faster about shipping things, but I suspect that they were osed around Christmas and New Years). With shipping and the buyer's fee it came to a total of $408, which was well below the estimate and I am very happy with the price (I suspect it went cheaper than most of the other ones they had in their auction because the stamp is a later addition and not original to the sycee)
>>
>>61617615
>I'd have nowhere to put money

Just buy yourself guns and ammo bro, it's not that difficult. From then on, every spare GoyBuck you receive should go back into the oz count you sold off. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking some profit, like some anons here think, but use that rapidly inflating dollar wisely.

Won't 24k ding up pretty easily because it's so soft? Doubt it would look the same after 40 years of bumps and wear.
And the silver tarnish argument is overrated. It barely changes and is super easy to get it looking brand new.

But jewelry is it's own thing I'm not too familiar or eager to get into.
I buy bullion.

Do you guys not care about market volatility? Silver prices crash unpredictably, manipulated by shadowy forces and geopolitical whims, leaving you with near worthless metal during economic turmoil.

Massive premiums and spreads devour profits. Meanwhile, the stock market soars with diversified growth, effortless trading via apps, and compounding dividends from blue-chip giants. Trump is going to pump the stock market come hell or high water, it doesnt matter if its a bubble he will keep pumping. Get in the boat or regret your folly forever.

>Is it too late to buy old?
General consensus is that gold will still go up several fold, but silver will go up more multiples as the ratio shrinks.

Europeans often buy gold because there's no 20% VAT on gold, and Euros often live in small apartments, thus gold takes up much less space and is much easier to hide because it's not easy (or allowed) to put in a heavy (600lb+) safe, or something that needs to be bolted down in a rental property.

I don't think he has paper silver. He's a mine whale investor, often private placement and juicy warrents.

He's also making bank selling online seminars that feature the companies that he has big investments in. The companies also pay him sponsorship bucks to appear in his seminars.

He's having too much fun working for a 72 year old.

So bitcoin isn’t currency, it’s open source banking. Meaning you can live in Iraq or Iran and when your country gets its grape popped by the U.S. you *could have* some of your wealth in bitcoin and extract it in none hostile territory. In this way bitcoin is like gold, you can pick it up and take it with you, even if your host county gets deleted. Except bitcoin is digital and you can remember 12 words and recovery your wallet and the withdrawal it as cash.

It’s a hedge. I like to invest in the crypt, markets, real estate, physical assets including precious metals. Metal is special to me though but I do own some bitcoin too. Had it a while.

the insult kike comes from the yiddish word kikel, which means circle.
apparently when a bunch of the were immigrating to NY they would stop at ellis Island and were asked to sign some documents to enter. Because they are how they are the Americans would just ask them to sign an X on the line to keep them moving.
but they hate God so much that they wouldn;t draw an X because it looks to similar to a cross.
Instead they were told to draw a kikel, a circle. and they've been kikes ever since.
It's a great insult because it call back to their silly hatred for God.
they do something similar in mathematics. they have their oen different + symbol for doing addition.

I hate these circles so much its unreal.

>Governance
Unfortunately Bitcoin is not very decentralized. there are many entities with control over large portions of the mining power and the supply of bitcoin. Microstrategy, Bitmain, Blockstream all need to be considered and addressed.

>Transparency
This is a blessing and a curse. public ledger makes bitcoin unable to integrate into existing systems without censorship via third party processing and also keeps bitcoin from becoming a parallel system due to tax obligations placed on those who wish to transact with bitcoin in an "official" manner. This is particularly true because bitcoin is electronic, cash and silver are not.

>Custody
it's nice, but it's electronic which means that there is a non-trivial risk of loss due to being attacked. your IoT devices, old routers, and the shit you picked up from gooning are all vectors that may jeopardize your savings.
>Muh burglars
muh crowbar attack

>Accessibility
it's not really permissionless due to the transparency issue indicated above. addresses can be linked to you and your address can be branded as "terrorist" or not trustworthy, then bitpay fucks your shit up. Sure, go rent some ant miners and put shit into a wallet that you only access behind 7 proxies, but good luck getting your bitcoin to translate into goods and services.

>monetary policy
I think this actually matters less for bitcoin than the white paper would like. Other than bitcoin's policy being defined mathematically, how can you derive bitcoin's value/utility? My best guess is that underlying price (value/utility) is a function of circulating supply and network costs. When BTC was forked into BCH there wasn't a big change in the valuation of BTC. Even though the supply of transactable currencies increased significantly, the cost of maintaining each network adjusted such that the value did not meaningfully change. This is reinforced when considering that BTC is PoW there is no intrinsic value other than the ability to transact.

At least 30% of wallets are vulnerable to quantum cryptography.

The network itself is vulerable to a 51% attack. My belief is that once CBDC or a government controlled crypto is rolled out, BTC will get rugpulled.

Governments appear to hate Monero for some reason...

The future of digital currency in my opinion will likely involve tokenized gold based crypto with decentralized depositories that allow for redeption in physical.
>>
>>61617821
>>61617891
just to wrap up, i agree that crypto can function as a speculative bet, but not really as a hedge. Bitcoin intrinsically is a means to transact and a lot of the price appreciation we have seen is a function of speculation and manipulation. Microstrategy is really something that shouldn't be ignored, $15 fucking billion or so into bitcoin would have likely wiped out Comex's elligible silver. I'm going to take a guess that the bitcoin books are thinner than silver's but there's just no way to hand wave this and anticipate that bitcoin has an intrinsic value or that there is a system other than money laundering and speculation that would make it a hedge against any asset.
>>
>>61617916
The rug pull will happen before CBDC to create the panic before offering the rescue by our benevolent masters.

Tokenized gold actively defeats the power of fiat; something the lizard people will not tolerate as it does not involve usury, mass immigration, and gay sex.

The bad actor would likely have nation state level resources.

Seeing some very old Satoshi wallets getting emptied recently was a major tell in my opinion. If you had a working quantum bitcoin wallet cracker, and you wanted to get a pile of bitcoin without spooking the world, you would go after very early wallets that might have been abandoned due to lost passwords.

Stealing from an active wallet would give up the game.

Wearable gold is very advantageous when crossing national borders. One can wear quite a few ounces of 24k gold Cuban chain around their neck and wrist without issues when crossing a border, whereas 3 gold Eagles is enough to require a declaration and raise suspicians.

Obviously once one gets across the border one hides that shit posthaste.

You do NOT want to play that game with customs, especially not with 3rd world customs. (maybe you do, but I won't)

Wearing a 4 oz 24k gold Cuban link chain would be no problem even going into a 3rd world shithole.

If it has a melt value of over $10k, you're playing with fire. Look at it from a money laundering point of view. 200 gold Eagles is $10k face value. They have a market value of $900,000.

If it was only legal tender based on face value, by using gold Eagles, you could ship close to a million dollars PER PERSON across the border. And you could do it every day of the week.

Try and find a federal judge who would support your line of reasoning.

Bros, I just want a little real estate property so bad, but this silver stuff has better returns anyway.
On the one hand I want to return to sound money, but on the other hand I must accumulate silver more before this when we have monopoly money, but my real income (in silver) cannot really start if we're not in the endgame, can it?
Like just buying a couple houses would basically set me up for life since I'm so cheap, and it feels much safer than meme investments like the stock market.

How do you even make income without assets, just work-cuck? I do have to work-cuck, I guess it's just a long and tedious process of waiting for silver to moon so I can buy more houses when they crash in order to rent said houses in order to buy more silver.
And I think little houses will always be profitable somewhat, no matter what happens to the market. I don't see real estate ever going away entirely, just correcting a ton while the economy also corrects. Will these guys buying 200k houses in shithole towns get liquidated so little players can get in? Thoughts on houses going down to 20k?

Lol. No. Imagine the lineups at the airport having to check every woman's earrings, wedding bands, mens watches, looking for gold vs plated and calculating the weight. It's not going to happen.

If you're talking about refugees escaping a shithole and having to go through corrupt border guards, possibly yes.

I am saying that I believe we are going to see various capital controls begin to appear. Canada is talking about charging people who emmigrate out of that shithole a departure tax.

California is already doing it if I'm not mistaken.

Being impatient has potentially cost me 63 ounces of silver and a couple months of opportunity.

>sold some silver at 45$ to cover closing costs on a land loan
>just found out with the leaves all gone that there's a massive cell tower right next to the land
>if the EMF reader I take out there next week reads dangerous numbers of radiation I'm foreclosing on my cancer dirt
>All this work just to lose 63 ounces of silver

If I was more patient I would not be in the situation I'm in. Admittedly, if the reading turns out okay I'm alright with my monthly payment but the point stands.

Being a landlord sounds great on paper until you're renting to retards who trash your shit and make life hell. We all have different goals in this life but mine are very simple; a humble homestead with the means of growing a good deal of my meat, fruit, and veg while allowing me a very low cost of living so I can allocate as much money as possible into PMs. If and when metals moon and we see Weimar conditions I take solace in the protective wealth I've stacked.

You're trying to plan for total unknowns. If silver explodes and markets crash than that will be the time to buy other assets. If silver sees an artificial suppression so other assets can remain inflated than land, stocks, and housing are justifiable.

My personal gamble is that silver, gold, and good land are the only things worth investing in right now.

>Good land is good to invest in right now
I see a major correction, but on the other hand land goes on the market and then goes off for 20 years, so it is what it is.
Yeah, I'm just patience-maxxing waiting for the crash. I've been doing so for 5 years already while just accumulating. It's just that (if today's rent rates are anything close to accurate, lmao, they're not but this is a hypothetical) I could retire off owning literally two properties, or one mixed-family, since I'm cheap and live with siblings.

Basically I can feel my lazy nigger lifestyle inches away from me, I could even just afford it right now getting an on-the-books job, and then getting a rental from that that would nearly pay for everything - I'd be retired in like 3 years.
But I'm not rushing it, it's just so close to my lazy nigger lifestyle. They rent their houses, buy their funkopops and BMW's, I live with siblings and retire at 30.
I hope things don't get TOO bad in the coming correction, because I am unironically literally already there at retirement and I didn't need the proverbial million even, or even half that, since I just live with siblings and don't spend money.

I'm not talking about jewelry smuggling. I'm talking about wearing high value gold chains when crossing a border.

>I prepare too, but for the more realistic scenarios that will affect my immediate area.
Unless you're living in a very strong pro 2A State, preferably in a rural community, the need to be able to move wealth across national borders is a very real issue.

I already pointed out in an earlier post that for transferring LARGE amounts of currency across national borders, nothing beats crypto.

In a separate post, I pointed out that a large, heavy 24k gold chain would allow someone to legally and safely carry across more gold than the $10k limit.

Both of these statements remain true whether or not countries implement capital controls.

What you call a prepper fantasy is what I call a contingency and optionality.

As a prepper, I can be wrong every year of my life and still win.

As a non-prepper, if you are wrong even once, you lose.

One of the factors that was used to push for a gold only standard was that in the past people didn't understand that you cannot have to commodities with a fixed ratio be a monetary standard.

You can have a silver standard, (which is what the original dollar was) or you can have a gold standard (which what happened after 1873) but you cannot have a fixed ratio between silver and gold (pegged) and a metal money.

If that ratio differs anywhere else in the world, it will drain your country of either one or the other metal.

A fixed dollar silver standard and floating gold price is the best solution in my opinion. Countries seem to well on a silver standard, so long as they don't peg it to a fixed amount of gold.

On the other hand, a gold standard money seems designed to push countries into fiat, first by fractional reserving their gold, then dropping the gold standard when people realize there are more dollars than gold to back it.

Well maybe notuch longer because it is so special and useful in tech.

I appreciate it, anon. I'm honestly not that frustrated over it; the learning experience was worth the lost capital. I've got half a mind to expat once my dogs are dead; just save as much as possible, potentially get a little inheritance money, and sell off everything save for my metals which I'll leave with trusted family. Vietnam, Thailand...it's a pipe dream but wild enough to work if I manage it properly.

Boy fucking howdy is the United States a depressing assed place to live unless you're a turbo normie nowadays.

I hope it all works out for you, anon. Just don't become a retired boomer; use your freedom to do cool shit.

They’ve been restocking multiple times a week. They had 10 oz silver bars for 860 I think it was this past week but sold out fast. Allegedly they had eagle rolls for 1780 briefly and earler this week but I didn’t see those, just saw it on X. Anyone see these 5 ounce silver maples available for preorder? They look pretty neat and might slurp one. $10 premium but I really like the one maple I have, prob gonna slurp but will wait for open tomorrow evening to see what happens

Yeah naturally, I don't plan to do absolutely nothing, but I will be doing a lot of relaxing and reading and gayming, I'm not the type to spend all day on some fag game or stream though.

How bad do you think it can be when you have 2-3 towers right above your residence? Roof of building.

I offered 100$ for 6ozt of 830 spoons the other day, but the seller said he already had several offers at more than 300$.
