I've been developing an automated trading framework for almost a year now. From a simple vectorized python program to something that spans defi arbitrage, CEX-DEX order flow monitoring and statistical strategies over tradfi assets and instruments (e.g, SPY 0DTE options or IBIT gamma scalping) with various profiles for configuration across different domains. It's been a lot of work, a lot of architectural changes, etc. The feature discovery is now an automated process and I have a pretty robust pipeline for validating the statistical confidence of strategies it outputs. My dad passed recently so I'll be getting a $50k windfall. I was going to put $25k in and then an additional $1k, and only trade with the $1k. This will let me do intraday but I'll cap the traceable account size to $1k. If I drawdown to $25k, I'll add another $1k, but only if it comes out of my personal earnings, not the windfall. Interestingly, I named my the code repo 'bandit', and my dad entrusted a man named 'Joe Bandit' with ensuring this money makes it to his kids. Sort of gives me faith in a weird way.

Prior to that we were on track to hit $200-300k revenue in 2023, but I was fully invested and no way to recoup and lost everything.So I've had all this unexpected debt (I used student loans to purchase equipment for the business and took some personal loans to stay afloat after the stuff was destroyed), had to go back to working a shitty wagey job to stay afloat and it's just been crippling. I resolved to start a new company this year, but it was going to be a struggle with minimal capital and (now) terrible credit. And I've been so tired and burnt out from getting rugpulled. I wasn't super close to my dad but this is such a blessing it's unreal. I just wish I could thank him, it's going to completely flip my life around and bring me out this miserable hole I've been in and the timing couldn't be better. I'll be launching my company at farmers markets to start and it's application season right now and with my trading framework nearing completion I'm finally feeling some positive momentum again.
