quit looking at footprint charts if you REALLY want to code up an algorithm of the visual patterns you see and backtest its fucking annoying seeing this bullshit on biz all the time its literally astrology that cant be clustered with meaningful insights with data be pragmatic anon

This indicator works quite well if you ignore the small liquidation noise.
BTC crashed from 126k to 100k because a huge liquidation cluster formed around 104-107k.
You would have seen that coming if you looked at the liquidation map in October.

Now there's a new long liquidation cluster forming all the way to 80k which happens because of the bearish rising wedge structure with consecutive higher lows but no impulsive move to the upside or downside flush. This always leads to a massive accumulation of longs.

For a bullish scenario you want a lower low structure after a big sell (or a quick and impulsive recovery). That's not what we're seeing.

these charts are worthless. wouldn't be surprised if exchanges open positions themselves to create price attractors, because they know that people look at those weirdly normalized statistics.

I would go as far as to say it's the only reliable indicator. Easy money applying the same concept to ES. There are more abstracted ways to see it, but a heat map is literally just taking an open book test. Keep your positions small enough and you can always profit at a liquidity point.

that OR that's where the leveraged long entries are that will ride out the new ath
