I understand you see the similarities in charts if you're a believer in cycle timings... but the emotions couldn't be more different. In March 2022 Terra Luna was getting peak deposits, NFT volumes were at ATH, Bored Apes at ATH, pregnantbabyeloninu shitcoins pumping, 3rd worlders becoming millionaires from GameFi ponzis etc.etc. Early 2022 was complete opposite to the boredom we're seeing now.

There has to be a fresh generation of Zoomers or alphas ready to gamble though, right?
trump should consider 0% federal capital gains tax on crypto for this year and forever to entice new buyers

that emotion still exists in other parts of the market. A large cohort of people who used to offer crypto liquidity simply moved to other assets. When stocks offer higher YTD gains than bitcoin, and alts are dead, literally what is the point in trading it? Obviously the price is not low enough for that liquidity to step in to buy the dip. That lends credence to the notion that we are indeed about to see another 2022-esque move in crypto.

If they have already exited the market, why would it dump further? ”It just has to 4 year cycle” is not an argument

Yes, and they're buying csgo skins, pokemon cards, shiny rocks, and doing sports betting, prediction markets, and 0dtes. These all have the advantage of being either something you can actually hold and/or use, or is something with a binary outcome where you just win or lose and get on with your day. Nobody wants to guess wrong on a crypto token and spend the next 10 years waiting around to see if it's even real or will ever pay off, going slowly insane from the opportunity cost of bagholding a dead coin.

All we need is an unexpected 20-30% rally for zoomies to pile back into degenerate crypto plays. The mania from "breaking the cycle" is enough to quickly carry Bitcoin to a new ATH. My money's on 150-180k.
