I know you guys are mostly about crypto and stuff but I wanted some advice relating to how to make some money in my situation.I'm slowly going blind and it's gotten worse from a surgery and from me trying to fix the effects with a +supplement, The issue is that I only have skills relating to computers and it's become very annoying and impractical to use a computer for anything serious. My social skills aren't particularly great so I've been a shutin NEET but at the very least do own a house that I just moved in to. Because I'm independent now I need money to survive but how can I make it? Is there still some area of IT that hasn't been raped by Indians? You don't have to do shit except sit around and maybe walk around once in awhile, your job is just a checkmark on some insurance document so nobody really cares what you do, so your boss shouldn't be too shitty, and you don't have to deal with the public usually, or customers. If you can see enough to get around it should be fine, if not, well, maybe you'll need a service dog, or you're fucked for any job then.

For general shit, if you're good at touch/have decent dexterity, you can look for positions that use it. Gift shops and the like need people who can fold and wrap things, there's plenty of jobs where you sit on your ass and assemble items or just just move things from A to B. Factory shit, retail line work, lab techs, &c. Even catering companies need someone to make wraps and displays. Garden centers need people to water plants in summer, places want to clear deadfall, none of these require very acute vision in all positions. If you want to work from home, get good with screenreader software now. You can do your programming or writing from home, either remote or as a freelancer. Translation isn't super lucrative, but the ones where they need it to be accurate and can't risk relying on AI are still willing to pay for quality. Flipping shit online still requires only as much work as you're willing to put in, some are willing to deliver/pick up.Don't expect to make a ton of money or for employment to be easy if your eyesight degrades enough, but it's possible. You'll want equal opportunity employers, woman-owned businesses are more likely to be open to this assuming you're not an /r9k/ brainlet that can't interact with the opposite sex without autistic seething (can't expect to be treated like a person if you don't extend the same courtesy). Always be completely up front about your condition. You said your social skills are currently meh, maybe work on that. If you're confident enough in your tech skills where you think you can teach others, you can offer teaching and coaching. Blind person worked at the same place one of my uncles did as a massage therapist. Working for yourself while making enough is ideal, but if something happens it also means you probably don't have a safety net.

For specific jobs, interpreting if you know another language nearly fluently (learn nip now if you wanted to since kanji helps a lot), Bedroom music production, writing.... Sorry anon, I'm really digging at the bottom of the barrel.3. From a preparedness perspective, I would also suggest that you do things as if you are already blind. If you haven't learned braille you should probably do it now, since reading is going to be huge for your mental health. There are Christian organizations that give vision impaired people braille Bibles (they're fucking expensive iirc). I would also get any support tools for vision impairment developed or built now and not later. If you can still see a little, you should be able to develop tools for yourself. Invest in a computer built with ECC memory and get it set up with an is that is really stable. There are services that do video interpreting, but I think it will be better if you also ensure you are comfortable using your phone without vision. For the elderly we usually think about hygiene, mobility and transportation, food, housework, and security. All five of these need systems to be established for when you can no longer see. Don't "roll with the punches" you need to get shit established now.
