On 4channel (and 4chan), the timestamp is useful for a general idea of when a post was made, but it is not the definitive proof of who posted first.

If you and another user post at nearly the same time, the only absolute way to determine the winner is the Post ID number.

now what?

Being skeptical on the RAM/storage plays is over/ogre/joever/owari/fini.

Yes, I know, >plebbit, but read this and weep.
TLDR; Gemini Pro (the actual paid Pro tier) had to shrink its context window to 32k from the original/advertised 1m tokens. Why? Because Google datacenters literally don't have enough RAM and storage. How dire do you think the situation is with other companies who a) have less deep pockets, and b) who try to offer AI with some long workflow agentic bent (e.g. a corporate-aware AI, AI for coding, video analysis and editing etc.) rather than just the mid chatbot Google is offering with Gemini?
The current limiting factor of AI is context, not GPU compute like in the olden months. It's currently what keeps them unusably stupid. And if you code with AI, you feel in your own wallet just how expensive tokens are.

There has probably never in your trading/investing career been a cleaner bull play than RAM and storage stocks right now.

to be fair I only started last year. I realised I should invest spare money somewhere and I had to research my options. This seemed like the best, most reliable option to put money in and leave it.
That being said in maybe 30 years I plan on moving from the UK so I have no idea what to do when that happens. I will be forced to sell it.
>>
>>61646331
Electricity is much less a value adding industry than high tech computer electronics.
There are more eminently replacable competitor companies in energy compared to just a handful per field in semis/RAM.
>>
Sup nerds TLDR me on why not throw money at quantum computing hardware maker and some nuclear ETF shit?
>>
>>61646341
No I mean we don't have the energy demand for the data centers and at best the upgrades will come 3 years from now at the earliest
>>
>>61646364
Yes, for the AI revolution we need a shitton of energy, and energy stocks are certainly a good longer term investment. But I mainly mean tactical plays for the current year

Watch the "Open" (9:30 AM EST): See if Goldman Sachs (GS) or Morgan Stanley (MS) opens with a "Gap Up" (prices higher than yesterday's close).

15-Minute Rule: Wait 15 minutes. If the stock stays above its opening price after 15 minutes, it usually signals that the big institutions are buying the earnings report, creating a "run" for the rest of the day.

Exit: For "quick cash," aim for a 1–2% gain and get out. Don't turn a "today" trade into a "forever" bag-hold.

The correct number of single stocks depends on your zone of competence and how many stocks you can keep track of.
Don't buy stocks in areas you don't understand. Don't buy more stocks than you can keep track of. Don't buy stocks for the sake of diversity. Your ETFs should already give you plenty of that.
If this were pure gambling, 1 stock gives you equal chances of winning or losing. But what are the chances of you picking 10 stocks that are all winners? Your chances of winning or losing are still equal, but it is much harder to hit the maximum 100% win.
>>

Bears always think they are smarter than the rest, but 5 years from now, it is pretty much a guaranteed certainty that the S&P500 will be higher than it is today. That's all one really needs to know. All of your theories, your charts, your Buffett Indicators, your Shiller P/E ratios and all that other bullshit is made completely irrelevant by the simple higher truth that the S&P500 will always move from ATH to new ATH.

maybe. but there's just more sureness in usa. if you buy the all world, you get a bunch of china, and if we get into a war with them like we did russia, there goes a huge chunk of the index, wiped in a day. or you could buy developed markets but that's some of the slowest growth on the planet with not exactly discount valuations. or you can pick and choose country etf's, maybe win some maybe lose, but none of them have the stability and security guarantees that you get with us equity. usa earnings growth is now faster than rest of world as well, after a long period of the opposite being true, i know us equities outperformed in that period oddly, but us stock fundamentals are improving as well.
>>
>>61646888
You need to stop thinking about countries in a world where the economy is almost fully globalized. The US will not continue to outperform. Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Nvidia will continue to outperform. That saying means buy when the market sentiment as a whole is fearful, meaning during a crash or correction. It doesn't mean to ignore common sense and just yolo your money into whatever. There are countless of investment opportunities I'd be "fearful" of, because they are shit investments. People avoid government bonds right now because they are worried about inflation and if it starts kicking back into high gear, you don't want your money locked away at 3-4%, when inflation goes to 5%+, meanwhile other assets like stocks and pms start pumping like crazy.

We had a big inflation event after COVID printing, bigger than most people remember during their lives. Now everyone is super scared about inflation. This zeitgeist fear keeps people away from bonds more than what should be normal and the long term bond prices are depressed. Meanwhile inflation rates have already normalized in most countries.
The few percent yield is almost nothing, yes. But the money is to be made in bond prices themselves going up.
